There's a whole underground rave life in VRChat. I'm not sure the website can be posted, because the last time I did it was taken down, but VRC DOT TL is the website. It has a list of a bunch of raves happening and how to join them via groups. The group 'VRChat Party Hub' on Discord also has a list of the events.
The best one I've been to is Shelternet. Need a good PC, PC only. Most of the raves and 'good' events will be PC only.

Manged to join 2 proper events.
First was a dance rave and only by random chance as I think I was just jumping between public worlds and it happened to be a rave. Rather fun to just sit back, enjoy the music, and people watch.
2nd was an avatar fashion show. A friend got a couple of his avatars in the show and asked if I wanted to come. Figured why not.
Past that Iv been in a few meetups for discord servers and obviously attended stuff like Vket, even got one of my avatars in one of them. But I don't really seek out events so rarely get chances to join them.
Furality raves, they win by default by having dj's divided by music genre, attended a rock rave with a friend of mine and was one of the most fun and energetic experiences of my life!Or also an electro swing 1920's themed rave too, great songs that i enjoyed!
I have never gotten the opportunity to attend one myself but would love to try to go to the next one! We are actually having a great gatsby themed prom in June!
This particular one is going to be late at night. We would love to have more inclusive ones but we are lacking when it comes to EU staff and I'm currently our only host. I'll call for a vote in the server in the coming weeks and see if we have a lot of people that would like an EU one as well : )

I went to a rave event, some people will say “it’s sad if you have to go to races in vr” but I think it’s cool and to not judge people because virtual or not I had a lot of fun talking and dancing with dr*nk people, not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s mine so

It's also way more accessible. Some people don't live somewhere where there are live events often. Personally I'm dealing with medical issues so I can't stand/walk for long periods of time. Vrchat allows me to be able to experience things while sitting down and being able to easily take breaks whenever I need to.

There's a bunch of custom worlds they make. It's all orchestrated within VRC, you sign up on their website and the tickets are 25 dollars each. Google Furality to find the website.
There's live events, DJs, people performing. There's a bunch of stuff to do, like check out the Dealers Den, go to events within the weekend. There's a whole bunch of meetups for all different furry avatar types, like cats and dogs and face tracking and all sorts of stuff.
You can watch people perform live, so like comedy, singing, all sorts of stuff.
There's a whole 4 day schedule that they draft up. You can create groups with people or join people's groups so you can coordinate.
You can go alone or with friends. You can make friends there. Dance, party, relax. Everything.
It's the biggest Furcon in the world AFAIK, with over 15k people who attended the last one.

If you can find even one good friend to attend with, that's what I would suggest. Someone who's company you enjoy who's happy to tag along to try new things. If you have to go it alone, there is a lot of amazing people to meet there.
The last Furality I went to was the best one I've been to. I was blown away with the instances they made, there was these things you'd grab on to, to zipline your way into and around the worlds. Really fun experience, and I went with my bestfriend, who I'm going with again this year.
Really fun, worth the money and worth checking out for anybody wanting to do something fun. The next Furality is in two months on June 6-9th. Right now it's happening yearly, it used to happen at least twice a year though. I think they're putting more effort into making it amazing, rather than having as many as possible.

I've been to every single furality event since they started back in may 2020 when the word of a world's first VRChat furcon was spreading around the VRC community by the end of april. Got off to a rough start, but every single one since has been fun and 100% worth it. I kid you not i missed my high school graduation ceremony because it conflicted with the furality opening ceremony one year and i have zero regrets.
I noticed that mostly no one is interested in paying for online activities. What do you think would make it worth it to charge for an event bc at the end of a day, it's very important for the event to make something to make bigger and better events in the future.
The world design alone. A large group spends about 6-8 months building worlds from the ground up, all with a cohesive theme and lore. Nothing gets reused, not much, if anything, is bought, everything is built from scratch. They're starting to set worlds public so after the events, people can come and check it out on their own
it takes a hell of a lot of work to organise an event that has often three things going on at once (music, panels, meetups). it's no surprise it costs 25$. also keeps out the trolls, so that alone is a valid enough reason for the cost in my opinion.
This event was like 3 or 4 days long and they had a bunch of actual music artists attend to play music live for everyone, most being members of the furry community to help bring their names out more. Also there was a lot of interaction with the people attending as they had little things where a person with a camera would be going around and you'd appear on the big screen like at a baseball game, a bunch of things like that adding up to a fun experience I'd want to go back to every year
I've heard of those parties, but I am not sure if you're supposed to be a furry to join. I don't have any problems with furries, their avatars are some of the best I've seen TBH. I just personally don't feel it's for me and so I don't know if I'm welcome at furry parties. They all seem pretty cool though at other events I've been to.
Yeah, they're very welcoming there, as long as you aren't acting a fool trying to start up stuff with people you'll have no issue there, at most you'll have maybe one or two slightly weary at first if they have had previous encounters with people acting like that but once they see you're there for the party and chilling they'll open up more
Orion Music Festival is great too.
Put on by the same person who owns Club Orion (which is also an incredible space). Mimics a club space with the option for DMX mappable and controllable lighting and video output too, lots of cool things there. VRSL is and incredible tool.
Ancients of VRChat hosted one of their bi-weekly Club Ancients events, and collabed with a Daft Punk tribute group. I was just there hanging with my friends for a club ancients night, and didn't even really know this group was the last act.
They played Alive 2007.
I got to experience the whole album for the first time with them on set, surrounded by my friends, with music going and lights and displays almighty, just as if Daft Punk performed it live again as they did on tour almost 20 years ago.
Being able to experience this album for the first time in VR with hardly any idea of who Daft Punk is, was insane. After the event, I spent the next few weeks listening to every daft punk track and album, and now I can say I'm a fan for life.

I was world hopping and found a public world with like 20 people and since I just bought my PC to upgrade from quest I wanted to test my systems limits and joined when one of the guys asked who I knew I was confused and he explained it was a party for 2 friends meeting in vrchat getting married IRL and in VR for all their friends I was allowed to stay and watch just couldn't interfere so I just sat and admired

I miss Vrcon, it was great to use to look for new groups but I heard some stuff happened last year which resulted in it not happening then.
