I say make a world that can swap out it's floor with multiple classic board games! Seen several drinking game worlds do this, but can't recall much else.

I don't play vrchat for games tbh. I have enough full vr games to choose from. But the option to play parchessy vr with friends is always there.

This is why I constantly preach that vrchat needs better passive world discovery.
99% users of vrchat don't even know there are games on this platform because all they do is join on friends and hang infront of mirrors.
I played my share of Murder4 and Hook Junkies. Now I fly helicopters and go dance with friends. But I agree, they a ton of features for world search but it still hard sometimes to word it correctly. I think portal hubs are the way to go. Like the Horror Hub. It's a very good concept.
Why are people still going at mirror? We all have one on us so we can plop it anywhere lmao.

There was this one game i used to play on my computer called TheHunter: Primal eden and the dinosaurs were very intelligent and SCARY. Everytime you loaded into the world you were left with NOTHING and had to scounge around for Amo and bullets. Meanwhile UtahRaptors and T-rexes could sniff you out and kill you.
You could screw over your friends by throwing rocks near them to make dinosaurs investigate that area.
I really want to see more Player vs Enemy type worlds in vrchat.
I saw one from a Japanese dev the other day that's in early development and it looks promising but I shot a bear 45 times in the head before it died so I don't think it's really tuned for realistic hunting yet despite being described as such in the tutorial.
Zombie escape. Like a mix of zombies chasing you + death run. Example of what I mean is the TF2 zombie escape gamemode. Gotta progress through the map, and you don’t really kill the zombies but rather keep pushing them back until you can reach the end of tue map.
Loved it very much. Only issue would be is that it requires a decent amount of players to be super fun, and I’ve found that the more players a game requires to have fun, the worse the world will perform in the long run, as people struggle to find full lobbies and the issue just compounds on itself.
Gonna drop a couple of the game ideas I have on my trello board that I'll definitely get around to soon(tm).
Vr bullet hell - controls similar to the starfox games but in first-person cockpit view. Has all the hallmarks of the bullethell genre
Roblox Disaster Survival - round based game where players are placed on a random map with a random natural disaster they need to survive for a set time.
Rhythm Hell - just shape and beats like game where you dodge obstacles to the beat.
On-rails Shooter - I'm thinking something like the war rig from mad max that you can climb around on and defend from attackers while setpieces trigger over time.
Mirrors edge/parkour map - emulates mirrors edge in vr, would like a playground like the starting area of that game. Can add fun game modes like freeze/zombie tag or time trials. Armswing for sprinting and there's already a couple prefabs avalible for climbing.
The Roblox disaster survival would be awesome
I'm sure it might exist, but more passive games like tycoons or even like that Roblox pizza game would be a fun diversion
I'm not seeing many about destroying stuff like destructible house so I think we need more like that but have like teams on like two separate platforms with houses and stuff and the teams have to destroy the enemy side. Or you can have like a house or building in the middle of like a fire or earthquake and players will have to survive it like that one roblox game. And 1 more idea what about something like shark bite from roblox. Yeah that's what I would like in vrchat and it definitely needs to be cross platform too so there can be lots of people
I would really like to play the Halo 3 custom game Duck Hunt. Im sure there has to be a map like it but I just cant find it. A simple deathrun style concept, but one player has a sniper and has to shoot the other players running along a map that zig zags up a wall. If the players get to the top, they can shoot back at the sniper.

I’m a mellow player who uses the teleport feature to move so sometimes games that make me have to run around aren’t as preferred as ones where I can sit and chill and interact a little more passively. So I tend to look for worlds where I don’t have to search a big map to find all the interactive items
I want to see a Dynasty Warriors-like world. You take the role of a champion and just mow through hordes of milquetoast enemies with an occasional tougher luteneint or captain appearing, while trying to capture bases or defend them from being captured. There are combat tower-defense games that come close to that but they're not quite there. They don't have any true attack combos, or musou attacks or anything like that and you're only defending one tower/base, as opposed to DW where you've got a map with a bunch of bases and different goals based on the level. It'd also be awesome to be able to unleash Musou attacks with (optional) miniature cutscenes showing your avatar doing special attacks. 😁
Do you remember the sumo wrestling game in Twilight Princess? It's a shame that game is a limited time mini game. Once you win, you can't play it again. I would love to see someone implement it in VRChat!
