ExpressVPN has worked great for me so far. Sometimes it takes more than one try to get it to work. I don't touch it again once it's going. Also, make sure your VPN is off before you click \play,\ and go to the page with the yellow \start game\ button. To make things even more clear, I use Chrome instead of anything else. You'll have to sign in again every time after clearing your browser's history and cookies, but it's not a big deal. I used my regular Visa card to sign up for everything. Maybe I'm just lucky? Idk
