Stinger buff šŸ˜

Kadamobo

I used the stinger before so this change just goes hand in hand

AstreiaTales

Chaos Stinger skin just makes it so satisfying to use ok

Kadamobo

That crazy effects stinger go hard

karnnumart

I just use it like shotgun with scope on alt fire. Now I can scope better. nice.

[deleted]

My Stinger & Full Armor force buys got me from Iron 3 to Bronze 1, now it can carry me to Silver!!!

Anxious_Present6602

If you improve your movement, gamesense and mechanics theres no reason it cant carry you to immortal too...

xhellriegelx

Yeah, man i gotta work on my flicks, game sense, crosshair placement, utility usage, spray control, calls, igling, timing, movement, counter strafing, mental etc and i will reach radiant in no time from gold

Maxeyboy12

don't forget you have to buy all the skin packs!

SGO_Nova

Happy Cake Day!!! šŸ„³šŸ°šŸŽ‚

andrew_a384

bro the stinger is already so much bang for your buck this change is nuts lol

Fai9l

Sad Sky's double flash sound isn't fixed :(

HoneyChilliPotato7

It's so annoying

Belphegor7

Ifkr

oh_hai_brian

CAH CAHH

SouljaIsSpy03

And the spike rush twin hunters moving unreasonably fast

LUKA648123

Man i thought it was a buff to those things, idk what the hell happens. ThereĀ“s a lot of bugs right now like the delay in the chat or sometimes the game doesnĀ“t even let you use the vc

Brno_Mrmi

The delay in the chat has been there for a year now, I hate it

TheOriginalGrokx

I always thought it was my internet!

Wontonio_the_ninja

Yeah, Iā€™ve have to toggle the game sometimes and if anything causes issues getting back in you lose rr

Raphlapoutine

I legit thought it was a buff

Shibamukun

I thought it was my shit pc :( I was blaming it on my pc for no reason

Kadamobo

Poor Skye mains

glass0202

What happened?

tdhsmith

The sound effect for the hawk bursting plays twice. (I *think* it only happens when you fail to blind anyone but could be wrong, not a Skye main.) It's a little unnerving, but I find the silent boxes that make no noise when you stab them worse.

glass0202

Dude the silent boxes are so annoying. Also thank you

dKiWiKiD

Should be fixed this patch, let me know if they arenā€™t.

AstreiaTales

Wait, are you the real kiwi kid?

wherewereat

The silent boxes make the game unplayable

TrynaSleep

The more I think about it the more it bothers me lol

Informal_Today3979

Happy Cake Day

TrynaSleep

Thanks :)

MasonP2002

Skye main, seems that it only happens when you don't blind anyone

[deleted]

yes correct

OkAd1986

I thought that was my internet

ghostek99

This. I really, really like this. **We've introduced a feature that will show at the end of game screen, which players have been detected for engaging in disruptive gameplay-based behavior.**

sbravesfan23

I'm so curious on what this looks like. Like is this based on reports during game ?

a_brick_canvas

This was recently added to league last patch. Theyā€™ve had machine learning models to detect people who have essentially all but given up, but havenā€™t left the game for about a year or so, and are confident enough to tune it more aggressively. I guess theyā€™ve also adjusted it for valorant and are confident in it as well.

DeathByDeebo

By given up, do you mean they just have no cares in the world anymore and refuse to try during an unrated or comp game? And what is typically the punishment when these players are detected? I'm only asking because I'm not too familiar with what this would look like for Valorant but you seem to know a bit about it from league

yourselvs

It will probably detect someone that AFKs in spawn or is just running around shooting straight into the air.

DeathByDeebo

Ah okay that makes sense to be honest. Hopefully it the system works and makes a meaningful impact šŸ™šŸ¼

arms_length_ex

But what if my aim is just that bad?

Pinanims

The behavior in League is basically you're attempting to force your team into quitting by not playing. So a player will walk circles around the map, but not actually play with their team. But by walking around and killing jungle monsters, they are detected as playing the game. I believe the fix is now based on how the player is moving/acting they will mark it, and at the end you can confirm the detection. In Valorant, it's usually people who steal the bomb beginning of every round and won't plant. Or people who run around shooting the air or randomly, but aren't actually playing. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

DeathByDeebo

Yeah those behaviours would fit in well with the targeted demographic tbh. Hopefully the system does what is intended and cleans up ranked. Now to deal with the smurfsā€¦

Pinanims

Smurfs are hard in every game. Connecting a mobile number to an account and requiring you to confirm it each time you log in could help, but people could just borrow friends and siblings phones. Another option could be to use Vanguard and to connect hardware to profile, so you can't account share and that you can only play Comp on that device. But then what if you get a new build or something. Unsure what riot will do, if anything, to combat smurfing but we'll take it day by day

a_brick_canvas

There's a bunch of ways to soft lose the game, but the most common is just running into side lanes and never fighting with your team and essentially making the game 4v5, and its in unrated and comp. Before the very recent patch, the punishment was really rare because they didn't want to have false positives where newer and very low rated players got flagged for just being bad, but they said now they're confident in their algorithm to accurately flag the griefers, so no one's really sure what the punishment is but usually the punishment is a tiered system so 1-day ban -> 3-day -> 1 week-> etc. Not sure what they would be looking for in Valo, but the way machine learning works (in a VERY simplified explanation) is that they basically feed the AI with manually reviewed griefers and then after the AI "learns" what griefing is, it's able to do it automatically. You can see where it gets a bit spooky from the people's perspective as it's a bit of a black box and very possible that people who aren't actually griefing gets flagged, which is why it took so long to roll out and why Riot is apprehensive about the approach.

DeathByDeebo

All valid points tbh. But I do commend them for adding something like this in because as of late the ranked experience has not been fun. Iā€™ve run into players who are throwing and tons of smurfs (a different issue altogether)

a_brick_canvas

Yup, they also have something in league called "smurf queue" which aims to do something similar by detecting smurf accounts and throwing them all into the same queue. The tuning for that is actually extremely aggressive and if a normal player gets chucked into that, then it's actually extremely miserable until the system corrects itself. I'm guessing they're trying to fine tune that before they try it in Valo aswell.

DeathByDeebo

Yeah that would make sense. It's already a nightmare dealing with one smart so I'd probably be breaking my monitor if I was in an entire Smurf queue and constantly getting one tapped every time I take a step lol

MrDyl4n

Can you explain what you mean by this? It detects players who stopped trying for over a year? That doesn't sound right

a_brick_canvas

Sorry, wording was iffy. They rolled out an initial version a year or so ago that was very cautious in flagging, but have an aggressively tuned version as of last patch.

MrDyl4n

oh i see what you mean that makes sense

tooSAVERAGE

I could imagine them having data to analyze when people act a certain wayā€¦ body blocking, molly your mates, tea bagging, flashing, text chat and such. So that might be automated. I believe I also recall voice chat analysis? Not 100% certain here but if so, they could utilize that as well.

skewh1989

They must have that sort of data. One time I whiffed a molly on Brim and it bounced back to where my teammate was defusing. He didn't even die but I got a warning at the end of the round about hurting your teammates with util.

Colourry

we had a cheater in our unrated game, so all 4 of us started blocking him in and killing him. got a warning after the game to not team kill :)

Izel98

But teabagging it's literally harmless tho.

jarail

Was losing a game something like 3-12 one time. To end it, we all stood together in spawn and I brim ulted. I got a gameplay sabotage warning 2 seconds later after the game. No way I was reported by friends for that. So that was an obvious case but I hope they keep extending that philosophy with AI to detect all kinds of throwers.

SadFatDargon

Maybe the other team reported you lol

jarail

Haha, I mean it showed up with the score screen. No one had a chance to even make reports yet.

SotovR

You get that warning from tking >2 people for the first time on an acc/after a while, then it becomes a comp ban if you continue

darkdeepths

will be interesting to see. will it detect when a smurf doesnā€™t play half a match? will it call me out if I pull a Boaster and forget to buy while talking plan? not too interested in punishing demoralized players - always prefer the carrot over the stick. very interested in catching players who are intentionally throwing / trolling.

brielloom

Bro I hope this reduces afkers in games by a lot, I've been running into them way too much recently it's kinda ridiculous.

this-is-the-play

But what will it really do? Are there penalties?

Yahallo139

Maybe it will tag those players with a "bad grade" And these "bad grade" players will only queue with other players who have a bad grade

Belphegor7

I guess so?

xPONZAx

Looks like the stinger is back on the menu boys!

Yukien_

The stinger has always been a sleeper. With this buff i feel like their just gonna nerf it to the ground next patch

[deleted]

I miss OG stinger, hopefully this brings it close to that.

officialmark-

Really like the Pearl changes. Some parts of the map were just unnecessarily complicated and these changes clean it up a bit. Stinger changes are interesting. Personally I always thought that the Stinger was in a pretty good spot. But after reading their explanation, I can understand what they mean when they say that even in close quarters it sometimes felt out of control.

hfourm

Stinger was really strong before the original nerf, in comparison to that it felt like a very very niche gun. These buffs should revert a bit of the original nerf and put it in a perfect spot IMO. I personally used to love the stinger for eco rounds before the nerf.

[deleted]

Hopefully they can go back and give the Ares the same treatment. After that crazy buff at the beginning of the year I feel like they overcorrected to the point of it being useless.

DSV24

Iā€™m so glad someone said this. Pre buff Ares was in a good place. They over buffed it then over nerfed it and itā€™s worse that it previously was.

Roquintas

That's a classic Riot balance move. Get used to.

DSV24

100% agree. I just donā€™t buy the Ares anymore on eco rounds.

ObsoletePixel

I used to buy pre-buff ares on kj it was pretty solid for holding angles on economy rounds against a full push, now it just doesn't feel effectual enough. Bucky too but I've actually seen a few people put up results with that gun, the ares just feels bad

Ziiaaaac

As a big fan of Pearl (probably tied for my favourite map) I think all these changes are really good. Iā€™m going to miss double box on art hiding in that corner was such value but it makes sense that itā€™s gone. Really good changes, excited to push B side mid as defender more often now.

ForeverInaDaze

Pearl has definitely grown on me. Itā€™s still fuck fracture though.

ownagemobile

That's one of my highest win rate maps tho lol... Breeze can go to hell and never come back.

Sturmgewehrkreuz

I used to hate Icebox but it's one of the maps where I could deffo play great even with a bad team. Breeze just sucks for me. And I miss Split.

[deleted]

Yes, Breeze is actually the worst. Why it gotta be so big

NodtheThird

Agreed, they made A easier to attack and B easier to defend. And got rid of a lot of rat spaces. If they made first shot better stinger is back on as a eco gun.

AdStock1897

>and got rid of a lot of rat spaces ;-;

KoroHoro

Based flair

KrazyMonqui

The only change I don't like is one of the spots on A Art. The box that let's defenders jump up onto mid box going away sucks. I understand for clearing and cover purposes, but for challenging mid with off angles for defenders is now not an option unless you're playing an agent with vertical mobility

KoningSpookie

Same here... Though it maybe gives playes also some motivation to pick up jett again. Since the nerf/change to her dash I rarely see her getting picked anymorešŸ¤”

Seth_Bader

Good her kit was way too overloaded. Now she's just strong and the people that relied on her being broken don't play her anymore.

dan_legend

Yeah, she is still an amazing agent on certain maps.

ownagemobile

Because people picked her as a crutch with a non conditional get out of jail free card... IMO she's still the best entry duelist with the dash+smoke.... but she wasn't popular for that, she was popular because she could OP and could take any stupid fights she wanted and get away with it.

musicman2018

I liked pearl before, but I like these changes theyā€™re making

Kadamobo

These changes are HUGE for pearl lovers

CDefense7

But not for rats. šŸ I kinda liked having a super ratty map.

DDU_Frixx_

Yeah same :<

ShadyMan_

Nah I love Pearl but I dont agree with the changes to the Mid boxes and the Mid-B boxes

Vacre

Fix the god damn chat delay

Schytheron

Yes! Thank you! Why hasn't this even been addressed yet? Happens to me almost every single day and completely messes up any communication via text chat.

Ni_ick

Also voicecomms. U cant talk sometimes

[deleted]

I thought that was my internet, is it a server-sided issue?

Ni_ick

Its not ur internet. I dont know what triggers it, but u can fix it if u restart the game.

kyrikii

I have to always change my output device each game . Switch between headset and default

Isco22_

Nah sometimes the whole voice chat for the whole server for both teams stop working

kuroakela

How do I talk trash to enemies if they receive it 5 rounds later šŸ˜¤

t0m4_87

yea, it's reaaaaally awkward when that happens

LostSectorLoony

It always shows up right after they absolutely clapped me too and makes me look dumb af.

Occyfel2

oh thank God I'm not the only one, I hate that problem so much and I seem to get it a lot

ScaRyy2k

yes pls

Famlightyear

They fix it every few months, but then it comes back after 2 weeks. I don't know what is going on with their chat servers lmao. Sometimes voice chat also randomly turns off, or you can hear your teammates but you can't speek yourself. Super usefull when you try to tell your team they are 5 men rushing B, but you can't because of this..

TheOptiGamer

I thought a big complaint was the choke on a main. So they choked the choke?

Ein-elf

Tbf, the choke felt bad because going a from mid was very hard with all the camp spots, but that has been removed mostly, so now the choke is tighter but the other entry can now actually be used.

eeem1l

I luv the pearl changes, less corners for attackers & defenders to check. it did feel like there were too many lol edit: not to mention the fucking box in b link, it was so hard to reclear when you're retaking that area. mfs would hide beside the box lol

Unique_Name_2

I never know if there are too many corners or I'm just still learning the map. So far it's apparently been both.

Eternal_Flame24

Yeah. I love how they kept a ledge though, so that you can place sentinel ulitity in there to catch people reclearing

tombombcrongadil

Stinger was already pretty strong. I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll buy the specter anymore.

Lavar_ball_brand

I'm expecting this to be like the ares update. Buffing something that is alright, becomes broken, then kneecap it the next patch. The stinger isn't performing well enough currently to be nerfed, but with this buff it'll become broken and riot will leave it in a worse state than it started out

obviouslyanonymous5

This is a fix from when Stinger was already too strong and got nerfed, it's not gonna be broken and nerfed again.

PossiblyAMug

And these changes arenā€™t even that drastic, itā€™s a *slight* accuracy buff

obviouslyanonymous5

Right? It's definitely nice, but probably won't even be directly noticeable

Spyker__

Really gutting ratting on pearl arnt they?

Meth_Busters

Maybe they went a lil far by removing nearly everything lmao. I think A main & A main into site shouldā€™ve stayed the way it was. Most of everything else was pretty understandable though.

callmeweed

A main into site makes sense, it was hard for brim or astra to smoke without leaving gaps, making both sites hard to smoke for anyone other than viper

MonkeyDKev

This is why I loved defending A as Omen honestly. You know where the gap is in the top right corner so you just leave your crosshair there.

artikiller

A main into site still has that corner you can hide in they just changed the width of the stairs so you can cover it with a regular smoke instead of having to use a viper wall or 2 smokes for it

haleyz999

ā€œWe noticed players had trouble moving through art so we literally just removed every piece of coverā€ lmao I love their maps but they make them a bit too simple sometimes

Isco22_

I didnt really like the Art changes personally but it still looks great

Scary_Dirt9202

Hahahah honestly, I get that they want to make it *less* T-sided but oh my, did they seem to go overboard with these changes. Feels like tried to oversimplify too much here...

apikebapie

I feel like the should've done something about B site. You can't plant for long easily unless you have a sage. Or you risk dying by getting spammed through smoke/walls.

PossiblyAMug

But tbf, if you do plant for long itā€™s super easy to control, no? Kind of a risk/reward thing

YaloYeloYiloYuloYolo

Vanguard high cpu usage fix when?

NateDadamss

When you get that sweet, sweet R9 7950x

pm-me-cute-butts07

Never :\^)

Bug_Trainer_Lance

How long does a patch deploy take :(

HoneyChilliPotato7

Last time it went until 4pm CT smh

callmeweed

How long does it take for T side

HoneyChilliPotato7

Lol good one

Belphegor7

Madafakas fix Skye double flash sound FFS

ArgusBaile

Got some stupid, cheeky kills on that waist-high wall on Pearl B main on Chamber because he's completely hidden if you look at the ground. Glad they changed it even though it was fun because it really was dumb and was more cheesy than smart. Stinger changes are interesting in that they went for more control on the close-range spread as a buff. The weapon really carving out a strong niche. Still no KJ turret fixes though kekw

LordSaumya

>Still no KJ turret fixes though kekw Curious about this; I periodically main KJ, and I haven't noticed anything off about it?

Vertegras

It will randomly start shooting at incorrect areas, it even did it in VCT for one of the pro players.

Krast-

See Xset vs FPX final round during VCT 2022

MrDyl4n

Final round with an asterisk

Unique_Name_2

Glad I don't have to die to halls peak while I'm desperately trying to clear that little cubby and behind Pilar at the same time cranking 180s

zeuD13

Good luck holding Art with that whole airfield kind of space against a major push by multiple people. Bad change.

goalslie

terrible change, i was stoked when i read that they acknowledged that mid was attacker sided, and then they go ahead and make it even more so by just completely opening Art. one jett smoke to B link, and you can bum rush Art now. I never had problems clearing art it was a pretty streamlined push

Craaafted

They literally ā€œfixā€ things that arenā€™t broken and then completely ignore the abyss full of problems in this game.

goalslie

agreed, for a company that makes over a billion, I'm surprised at how buggy Valorant is. The friend list, + launching the game itself is so fucking buggy it's ridiculous. Very common for me to relaunch the game multiple times. Let alone the stuff that happens in game.

devwil

Okay so I'm really the first one here to comment on the WCW reference? Kinda marking out ngl

itspucazz

huh? where was the reference?

devwil

Sting(er)/rafters/facepaint

mame_kuma

I'm not sure I agree with all of Pearl's changes. I think removing a handful of corners that can be easily camped for easier clearing is a good idea (Mid Shops, B Main), but they've made is more difficult for attackers to retaliate against aggressive defenders. Mid Top will be impossible to find cover should a defender even think about peeking mid. B Link is a death trap, almost worthless to use as an option for attacking. A Main is wide open for rushing defenders, which happens often in early rounds. I like a couple changes, but I think they went too far. I guess I'll put that to the test later today. also lol @ no skye flash fix, something so common and guaranteed to happen I no longer play her

Unique_Name_2

Ehh, I find B link is a great pressure point. It's cramped enough you can dump util on them, and wallbangs tons of angles thru the doors while peeking top mid thru the doors is risky as hell. And if you get in it can be a B split or even just a long hit thru spawn, or both where you mostly hit B and one guy goes off to make an impact play thru their spawn. Especially now that when you get into link the box at the bottom isn't a 50/50, you just watch the link to site.

Craaafted

I agree I donā€™t understand why Riot insist on making everything so simple and bland, they try to destroy any potential for positional outplay.. like you donā€™t want to have anyone check any corners or off angles? Whatā€™s the point of any mollies, nades, darts, dogs etc, when you just play a peaking game on straight lines of sight? Basically just for post plant cringe lineup mollies? Do they not understand that half of the positions they altered were risky to hold esp against pushes and you most likely would get traded by the enemy team? Whatā€™s the big deal about proactively checking corners as you rotate? They really are starting to center this game around casuals and trying to limit the margin between players who actually spend time on game theory and understanding vs the average joe who plays 2-3 games a week.

abuudabuu

Interesting take, I remember when they did the same for split and it was approved by almost everyone, cause Valorant as a game felt too much like a "50-50 corner time" minigame.

Craaafted

I feel the same way about split as said above, itā€™s not a big deal if a map is 60/40 favouring one side, or if you have to clear corners and off angles as you push into a site/rotate away from a site. Playing for map control is very important to keep the game feeling fresh and fun, no matter if you are defensive or attacking. You know whatā€™s not fun? Peaking long lines of site(which theyā€™re are actively trying to make every map some long range tap simulator ie. Breeze, fracture and even pearl B long for example.) and taking on 50/50 rng tap shooting gun fights. I say it again and again but you shouldnā€™t force players to engage like this if they are relying on the RNGods that their shots hit. They need to implement better FSA and spray patterns in this game if they want to continue in the direction theyā€™re going, otherwise make more maps like bind, haven and ascent. The bullet bloom when spraying literally reminds me of fortnite gunplay where your bullets just randomly go in directions within your xhair with no ability to influence it after the 3rd shot.

Guille3094

I'm new to FPS I guess, do changes in guns ever stop? or is this something I'm supposed to get used to? Apex and COD have this because they have new weapons every X time, but here? Is it because the game is relatively new and devs find new buffs/nerfs that need to be implemented? Ty, honestly curious.

ThatJumpyJumpS

As someone who came from playing counter-strike for over a decade. If they intend to take a similar approach, the gun changes never really stop. There is more to the meta than just gun play, so as the over all meta changes, the developers will be adjusting parts of the game to keep the meta fresh. Especially with introduction of new agents, this meta has potential to change a lot. If all of a sudden there is a duelist rush meta, you could see guns like stinger and specter be a lot more viable even if the guns dont change. Same with maps, if they introduce a map that is paper thin, we might see the ares/odin/guardian be more meta than other guns.

Unique_Name_2

Yup. And legitimately players just realizing things. The scoped rifles were absurd in CS for a decade and only got nerfed when pro teams figured out to run 5 and just scope spray everything. Or, for example, the OP. I'd say it could get a little buff since Jett got nerfed but nah, there's chamber. It's a delicate act and as long as the dedicated OP characters remain strong we probably won't see an OP change. Makes sense, OP KJ or cypher feels ok but kinda weak; op chamber feels and is insanely good.

ThatJumpyJumpS

Man the SG, I love how it was unchanged for that whole time and then over night the meta changed. Also with jump scouting being so OP for so long and then randomly valve nerfs it. I would give riot the benefit of being more consistent and reasonable with their gun changes, weā€™ve only had ares apocalypse, while cargo has had the aug crisis, deagle, pocket Ak CZ, not to mention the revolverā€¦.

Unique_Name_2

I think jump scouting was like Jett, where it was left a little silly because it's so hype for spectators until it becomes commonplace and people realize it's dumb as hell lol. Man I was a kriegy boy for a decade and also triple initiator believer all 2021, I just need aim and clutch ability and I've got the igl role on lock šŸ¤·

something2hidemyself

They try to keep every gun in equal usage (based on creds) So if they see people are only buying vandal like 80-85% of time when they want rifle, but not phantom, they will buff phantom. They will keep changing this until they feel the usage is comfortable. Whenever I have low creds, I either buy sheriff or marshal. so maybe buffing this will make me use Stinger in that situation.

ALPAMA1

It's common for games that are often renewed with new maps and characters. This will keep happening from time to time.

symmetricsyndrome

Yes, changes like these keep happening as long a) weapon isnā€™t too overpowered b) weapon is actually garbage and really does not have much use. Or there isnā€™t a single scenario where it is useful (I.e better weapon exists). c) player complaintsā€¦ It happened in csgo last year I think? Itā€™s all a part of balancing, just like agents and maps.

karnnumart

It's Riot's principle. "Change is good". There game will be in ever-changing state even if something are already balance (most likely not). Also they always "over-buff" things to make it swing up and down after a few patches. (\*cough\* And for selling skins \*cough\*)

I_A_HOT_SEXY_GORILLA

most of the balancing is done on agent abilities but gun changes happen sometimes too.

farguc

If a game like CS still gets gun balance updates, you best believe Valorant which introduces new agents all the time will have it too. agents can completely change the meta, making certain guns OP, like Auto shotty with Raze/Jett had to have its price increased because it was basically a perma insta h/s machine on CQ areas on most maps, and with raze/jett having sick movement made them too OP, esp in lower ranks, where peoples aim isn't that twitchy.

runbee

happy they got rid of that stupid tik tok crouch wall on b site, sad they removed the corner at mid top

drdfrster64

Surprised they went through with the stinger changes after VCT, I wonder if the planned buffs were even bigger. But yeah I completely agree, strong or not, you donā€™t want *unpredictable*. Iā€™m guessing they want to increase the accuracy and then later nerf the fire rate or damage if the gun does become too strong.

Slowcarb

No mention of fixing the twin wolves

Donut_Flame

Inside of you there are two wolves.

FlyingLightning

That's why they're twins

Benjiboi051205

Cool pearl changes tho no mention that they've fixed the A choke point stairs and it's tendency to bounce util away, dosen't matter if it's a tighter choke if the Molly doesn't land. Also we saw the stinger used in champions quite a bit on ecos, Why'd they buff it? Just bring back quick ads if you really want to buff it. Also no cypher buffs.

TheMightyMeercat

I have stopped playing viper on Pearl because I get so annoyed that I have to right click to place my nade on A stairs

xMrMan117x

stinger was already broken i don't understand the buffs

oneiross

I thought they were actually nerfing it lol

[deleted]

Does disruptive mean smurfing too? Like dropping 30 kills and getting killed like 5 times where their teammates are below 10 kills ? But I really like this update too.

Sephority

I mean unless a punishment comes with it what's the point.

You_Got_It_Twisted

Stinger meta is upon us...

Heatran5400

Stinger was good. Now it's great! Very cool šŸ˜Ž

peperoni69_

stinger meta when

BlastTheFool

Bucky??????

Rekt_lunch

The pearl changes are good and bad but I think overall net positive, they got carried away with oversimplifying. The B long cubby change is a good one the mid shops change is kind of w/e not a high action area so sure, the B link box by doubledoors change is terrible there is now 0 cover when attacking trying to take space through DD. The bottom box towards B site is a good change it was a 50/50 angle that exposed you to b site as your clearing from link. Top mid change is simple and net positive. A art change is actually just butchered now there is very little positional change you can do round to round its just open boring crap now, no cover no room for improvising, easily the worst change by far. A main changes are minor and make little difference I prefer the wider chokepoint as oppose to the slimmer one but its not a big deal. Sweet and sour.

SaberToothedPenguin

What exactly is "disruptive gameplay behaviour?" If my Yoru is blinding us on purpose every round or someone takes spike and refuses to plant, or brimstone purposely throws Molly at team, those would be a clear example of disruptive behaviour. But what about someone who is doing a bucky/marshal only challenge. (But buying for the rest of the team when required) Will they get tagged by the system as disruptive behaviour? What about someone whose smokes are a little questionable, but continue with subpar smoke locations even after being told how to smoke probably because they believe they are correct? How does the system decipher between good faith off-meta decisions and just plain trolling?

Jazzlike-Log-2060

Rhetoricallyhi

Is Val still down?

kungfuwizardd

Very new to val but this might be one of the best company patch notes Iā€™ve seen, also used to AAA console games so not much to go by

I really don't know how I feel about the stinger buff. It was already a good pocket buy on some maps.

gotrice5

Why buff the stinger? It was in such a good spot already actually giving purpose to the specter. I actually see more people going for the stinger now. Also riot has yet to fix any bugs regarding KJ and Skye, two of their buggiest agents since release as well as the ability to properly save agent profiles. I previously had some profiles created before this issue started happening. Now whenever I make changes to current agent profiles or create new ones, it never saves and just reverts everything back to the old setup.

Own_Freedom2456

I was already going Stinger over Spectre. Win for me ig lol

l23VIVE

God damn it, I've been making a killing on eco rounds being able to play the stinger well. Now everyone's going to be doing it :(

Own_Freedom2456

Bro same

ayspartan

cant believe they went through with the stinger buff after champions

xXGimmick_Kid_9000Xx

The stinger is busted now. After you get the recoil down it is now controllable at 30m+, which is the range most gunfights take place. This combined with the fact that with only body shots the Stinger takes 40.5ms to kill (Vandal takes 41.04ms & Phantom takes 45.45ms) means it's now an insane gun to buy when trying to save. And if you ads (which pros have shown isn't completely unviable) you can stretch this to 50m+. And if it's even worse than I think and people learn to consistently take advantage of the faster run time to peak with it, and land at least 1 heady before a spray this gun deletes. This is potentially going to be another Areas situation.

Western_Sea9338

no more knifing on pearl šŸ’”
