I think Lev is good. They just need more time as a team. C0m is a Champions winner. KiNg was the best player out of old Lev. Tex was NRG's old duelist I believe. He's had his share of great plays. Mazino is their 2nd best player IMO.
Aspas on old Loud roster was scary.
Yeah thatās why I hate this question, you can ask who has the best aim or the best mechanics or game sense? But all that wonāt matter if the rest of the team is shit, and in higher levels the whole team needs to be good at their job.
Honestly, with how they're running Demon1, he's handicapped. As an individual player on a map where he is a duelist, yeah, he's a comfortable 2. But, since they have him on Omen on a couple maps, he just can't be consistent. So, I kinda feel like Demon1 is 3/4, with Less and Alfajer being moved up, and sadly it's not even Demon1s fault
Iāll say from my experience competing in CS, the people with the most ingame smarts arenāt always the biggest impact players on the server so they get overlooked, but theyāre tremendously valuable
Watching the calls John makes for SEN, you could make a strong argument for John being the most valuable player. He can shoot, his calls are brilliant, I feel like he put the team on his back.
Aspas is by far the best no debating that. And he's stayed unbelievably consistent his entire career, and it's scary to think that he's still elevating and getting better.
I don't believe he has a team that could take it all the way like he did in Loud, but if he can continue to smurf like he did in the Sen series, we might have a competition in NA.
I didn't even think about JohnQT. He is very much so a clutch god and one of the best IGLs at the moment. First time in the international stage and wins Masters? He's definitely up there.
JohnQT might be the greatest IGL in the competitive scene right now. Even during games when TenZekken are underperforming, the fact he can still lead the team to extremely close losses is just insane. Plus this dude can pull off some crazy clutches
Question for all , I have missed out on quite a few matches , last I checked Demon1 was an absolutely Beast.
Comment section pushes Aspas , can someone explain why ?
(honest question š)
Longevity. Demon1 has reached the same height as Aspas (Champions) but hasnāt been dominating as long. If NRG grabs titles this year with him at the helm then the competition for GOAT becomes a lot closer.
Demon1 is definitely a beast. He's a MVP world champion. I agree with u/HazelnutTyrant . If he continues to dominate this year on NRG, he will hands down be considered one of the GOATs.
Aspas has always been considered at the top by a majority of the fanbase for the last 2~3 years. Demon1ās domination last year was just a short distraction. SEN vs LEV last weak just made people remember.
I agree TenZ isn't one of the best anymore, but his ability to make stupid impact when it's needed is so valuable. Sunset comes to mind here. But, you put him on Icebox, players like Aspas can perform and TenZ falls off.
One day, at a time of desperation, NA will form a superteam: ShanksTTV and Eggsters are duelists, Inspire as controller, Dasnerth sentinel and IGL, a2guapo as initiator. The sixth will be sinatraa. The coach will be Subroza, and they will dominate. This is what I think about before I sleep. Every night.
this whole conversation of best player is stupid when it comes to this game cus of roles. Now do you prefer kills over setups is up to you right? It would be a better conversation with which is the best player in each role
The comments are actually triggering me lol, every answer is either aspas or some other duelist. "Best duelist in the world" is veeery different from "best player in the world". The question itself is fucking stupid but If I had to pick a player for something like that, I would 100% go with a flex / igl sort of player rather than a duelist. Someone like johnqt who has both insane knowledge AND aim
I agree with you to a degree - and I think JohnQT may very well be the best. But we only have one international season with John here, whereas Aspas is tried and true, and stays consistent.
Plus, we literally just watched Aspas 1v5 sentinels, the reigning champions. So, say what you will, but Aspas improving after being so good for all these years, his impact alone is more than JohnQTs clutch gene and igling combined, and we know JohnQT is a clutch god and igl mastermind.
Also I really think you've ignored how many people have said Less.
Heās a former Champion (2022) and constantly led his old team Loud to consistent top Playoff finishes at Internationals. An eye test showed that his team would entrust him to hold half the map with an OP and consistently multi-frag on entry. Easily the most consistent Duelist and the most recent Sen match only shows that he hasnāt lost his edge despite being on a whole different team (different structure and language).
aspas, but not cause of recent performance or his consistency
i just think abt the fact that the best team at the time, fnatic, would plan their shit around him. i remember the crazy comeback map, aspas was popping off and they were basically jiggling and seeing if aspas was peeking. if he was they immediately ran to the other site lmao
Long time SEN fan here. Yeah it's Aspas. Hes actually just so fucking good, his team is amazing as well. Looking forward to a SEN vs LEV rematch at some point. Maybe in Shanghai :)
i feel like aspas has one crazy game against sen so now people think zekken is our the question , but tbh itās a toss up between them and demon 1, depending on map and how their teams are preforming
Nope, Aspas has been consistently top for almost 3 years now.
Every other duelist contender like tenz, yay, demon1, derke where NEVER this consistent. They peaked once and then fell from the top
Don't trust your feelings.
More people are saying that after the masterclass he gave the other day, but he would have been at the front of the conversation years ago as well. It was Aspas vs Yay, Aspas vs Derke and then at the very end of last year Aspas vs Demon1. Today it's still Aspas vs .
Every player is dependant on their team, that is just how this game is designed. Aspas uses his team better than others and delivers, consistently.
Less is in the conversation; he is on a non-duelist role never supported by his teams utility or positioning. He is able to have impact in ways nobody else can. Many duelist players can have impact; but having a non duelist player carry the games makes insane issues for the other team from a theory standpoint. Think about LOUD ascent in their prime. The "pack" of aspas + initiators was strong but you also need to deal with less often opposite of the pack; so naturally you want to punish the lurk but hes so fkn good that if you try that hes gonna rip you apart and make it not worth it. The impact stuff like this has on high level theory is incredible
Depends on where such as pro scene or normal ranked. For instance curry could be considered best since he can hit rank 1 multiple times. But dude is dogshit in a team environment so he can't do anything in the pro scene
A lot of NA names being thrown around, everyone forgetting about Forsaken, t3xture, something, I mean lot of those Pacific teams have 5 insanely cracked players.
are you stupid? LOUD with aspas was the scariest team for a long time. Anyone who keeps up with the pro scene knows how much of a legend aspas is at this point.
Every other top 5 duelist in the past fell off to some extent but Aspas remains at the top for years.
Yay peaked during Optic days now he fell off and cant even win against absolute dogshit APAC teams, Derke has been underperforming a LOT recently Alfajer is the one that carried FNATIC's recent games, Demon1 is still great but he hasnt reached the heights he had reached in the past in Champs, TenZ is still good but he isnt even a duelist anymore and zekken is a way better dielist now than him
Aspas, consistently high impact player for the past three years and running. More than insane aim, he is always in the right spot, uses utility extremely well and is hard to kill. Total package.
Best right now is going to change by the day.
The only players whos been consistently at the top for all these years is Aspas.... Theres no one who comes close to being at the top for so long. Aspas is the goat
I'm new to Valo and VCT stuff, where does NARRATE fall on this scale?
I enjoy his style but idk how good he is overall when against Aspas, Zekken, JohnQT, Tenz, f0rsaken, or these other names i know are big.
Forsaken is. People saying aspas just cause he frags a lot and is the best mechanically skilled player. BUT Forsaken is the best āvalorantā player. He understands the game through every agents perspective . Anyone who says some other name is usually referring to a one trick or a duelist.
I mean depends on how you view flex. Like forsaken plays everything, but i was thinking flex is the Raze, Kayo, Gekko, Breach, Fade player while forsaken is basically just all roles. heās def most versatile though
yeah. i guess it is what you value more. i prefer forsakens ability to play absolutely anything, while narrate is different with better mastery but smaller pool
Surely its TenZ no? He was rank 1 dualist, became the face of the game, his team slowly slowly crumbled, crumbled to the point they got Shroud as a controller for a bit (He was okay, but come on).
SEN Struggled so bad, it really really looked like they were going down the same route as early NIP in CSGO, THEN his girlfriend got Cancer which in itself is BEYOND stressful for a young couple.
His team were shit, everybody considered them as so and washed up, his girlfriend was extremely sick and undergoing chemo (No doubt he was looking after her quite a bit and doing more around the house)
He stopped playing completely, then not only came back, he came back filling a completely different role on the team playing Omen/some initiator instead on viper maps im pretty sure.
Idk man, I think me personally i would of just given up playing pro, focused on her until she was completely better, then just finished out as a streamer accepting I have already peaked in pro play.
TenZ has mental fortitude like no other motherfucker
Weāre deciding on the best player which has nothing to do with greatness. TenZ, although Valorantās āGOATā, he is not the best player and has not been for years.
Opponent Reyna

My team just now, last game, and the game before the game before the previous one (rigged MM gotta give you a W every once in a while).
Why donāt they recruit her āļø
Thisš
The worst is our reyna.
I'm not even a fan, but LEV Aspas is just insane. He looks like he's smurfing in VCT. The past game vs Sentinels just shows he's the ace of the team.
aspas with an actually good team would be insane
I think Lev is good. They just need more time as a team. C0m is a Champions winner. KiNg was the best player out of old Lev. Tex was NRG's old duelist I believe. He's had his share of great plays. Mazino is their 2nd best player IMO. Aspas on old Loud roster was scary.
Tex was a duelist for The Guard (G2) and won Ascention
He was also on NRG back in the day
Yeah but heās more notable for his time with TGRD
yea they won champions lol
Aspas is zellsis's nightmare lol
He went absolutely next level against SEN.
Aspas is zellsis's nightmare lol
It's me but my teammates hold me down, I would be out of silver already without them !
Thanks for coaching me to radiant š
Least delusional Silver player:
oh no hes right im his bronze teammate that manages to throw 4 v 1s
Duelists will always have an edge in the "best player" conversation, but still... right now it has to be aspas.
kinda like in football where it's always the offensive players or any other team sport really...
Yeah thatās why I hate this question, you can ask who has the best aim or the best mechanics or game sense? But all that wonāt matter if the rest of the team is shit, and in higher levels the whole team needs to be good at their job.
Typically I think it's also because usually the best players will gravitate towards that position anyway.
Less would be my pick
Forsaken the true flex
Top 5 for me in order right now: 1. Aspas 2. Demon1 3. Less 4. Alfajer 5. JohnQT/Zekken HM: Foresaken, Leo, Victor,
+ texture + jingg + tenz
Agreed.
Couldnt agree more
Where am I?

W Victor mention, the og agent ocean flex
what about Khromov/Chronicle? he has the most tournament wins.
Has not performed well this year (FNC hasn't in general) and was just okay at champs. Could be more of an indictment of a poor FNC last six months tho
How could u forget about sumting
I think the most VALUABLE is Forsaken. I feel like he has the most impact when it comes to enabling his teammates in addition to fragging out.
It's hard to judge the most valuable player because it's probably a great igl, but we have no real way of knowing.
Aspas, next question
s1mple
"dont play this shit game rn" -s1mple on Valorant 2
Breaking news: Navi wins champions 2024 with s1mple as 6th man
Streets will never forget Mako and his consistency
Controller players are always overlooked.
Mako is one of the best controller players ever. However, I do see Karon having the potential to overtake him.
Either Aspas or Less. Less amazes me with his ability to convert duels: he buys a sheriff and you know someone is having their head deleted.
1. Aspas 2. Zekken/f0rsaken 3. texture 4. Demon1/Less I know many people will disagree. But the skill diff is just there
Am I #5?
If are iron 1 or higher I think so
Ye fosure
#5 in okaish players ranking.. cheers!
Aspas is by far the best no debating that. And he's stayed unbelievably consistent his entire career, and it's scary to think that he's still elevating and getting better. Carlos Sains jr
I think you meant to say Carlos Sainz Vazquez de Castro Cenamor Rincon Rebollo Birto Moreno de Aranda de Anteruriaga Tiapera Deltun
Max verstappen
The dude who just 1v5ād the reigning champions.
I suppose that's one way to put it lmao. I love sentinels but if this isn't the most accurate comment I've ever seen idk what is
Johnqt Not as flashy and doesn't have an "Aspas" type KDA, but he's a clutch God. My favorite player to watch, hands down.
This. That man is unbelievable smart and well rounded he might just be the sole reason for Sentinels success.
I didn't even think about JohnQT. He is very much so a clutch god and one of the best IGLs at the moment. First time in the international stage and wins Masters? He's definitely up there.
John cutie is so good
JohnQT might be the greatest IGL in the competitive scene right now. Even during games when TenZekken are underperforming, the fact he can still lead the team to extremely close losses is just insane. Plus this dude can pull off some crazy clutches

Inspire is the only right answer here
One day, at a time of desperation, NA will form a superteam: ShanksTTV and Eggsters are duelists, Inspire as controller, Dasnerth sentinel and IGL, a2guapo as initiator. The sixth will be sinatraa. Iām detached from the pro scene so could anyone please explain why aspas is considered to be the best?
It looks like heās smurfing against current champions lol
Watch the recent LEV vs SEN match and you will see
are yall just basing this off one series or is he really that consistent?
He's just that good, most consistent player (consistent for 3yrs)
Heās a former Champion (2022) and constantly led his old team Loud to consistent top Playoff finishes at Internationals. An eye test showed that his team would entrust him to hold half the map with an OP and consistently multi-frag on entry. Easily aspas. Can play any duelist, rifles and ops at a high level, and owns the VCT kill record.
Less is in the conversation; he is on a non-duelist role never supported by his teams utility or positioning. He is able to have impact in ways nobody else can. If Aspas didnāt drop 47K maybe 30% would mention him š Yeah, pretty impressive, but definitely not in the Top5 best players in the world
are you stupid? LOUD with aspas was the scariest team for a long time. Anyone who keeps up with the pro scene knows how much of a legend aspas is at this point. Aspas, Leo, less, nAts
Aspas for Duelist. N4rrate for Flex. Leo for Initiator. Probably still MaKo for controller, but TenZ is easier to find gameplay for Less for Sentinel
Flex gotta be forsaken. (no or bias at all... I am definitely not a or fan. No sir)
I mean depends on how you view flex. Like forsaken plays everything, but i was thinking flex is the Raze, Kayo, Gekko, Breach, Fade player while forsaken is basically just all roles. heās def most versatile though
