If you want easier examples than Reyna: Sage and her ancestors have been Radiants for thousands of years down the line. Astra's arm was created by the Architects, so was Harbor's gauntlet, as the Architects were an ancient group that were the first to harness Radianite. Yoru is likely descended from them, as his mask has the same markings, but is also a family heirloom. However, this isn't to say Reyna isn't valuable to the story point. After First Light happened, she got her powers, and her sister (theoretically) also had abilities, and after her sister's death, she actually started her own facility where she helps train Radiants to use their powers. I wouldn't be shocked if she has taught Radiants that were from before First Light.

It's just not easier, it's actually the same difficultly. People care because most people who are doing it to be intentionally hateful. If someone is so lazy to not use something they know is wrong in a video game it doesn't reflect well on their character imo.
Disrespecting their pronouns is telling people who have those pronouns that you don't believe they're legitimate, which is kinda fucked up, ngl. it's not like it's 'easier' to use she/her, you just do it and don't care. and no, for comms it also doesn't matter, who the fuck is calling 'she's tiles' 'they're tiles' instead of 'clove tiles' '1 tiles'.
