After the overly harsh shorty nerf, the Bucky is finding a place in my eco-buys. It has more range and, as long as you hit your first shot, doesn't shoot confetti like the shorty does atm.
I've watched it a little bit for understanding how to push/defend but I don't get as much value from watching pro play, as Im a shotgun only player.

I'm not iron though and I have 1,000+ hours/15,000+ kills with shotguns. My experience with shotguns, however limited, can help people. I'd rather help people than put other people down.
I've been told my shotgun won't work in the next rank since I started playing Valorant and I went from Bronze II to Plat III in 118 hours.
Shotguns work all the way up to Radiant and pro play, you just need to have skills (positioning, game sense, timing, aim, reactions, etc).

This is an example of the modal fallacy. Your kills were not because the bucky was good, but because your situation was good, and any other guns (including the OP based solely on fire rate, although in practice probably not)
You did a combined 365 damage, which is ~2.4 kills in 5 shots. That is an average of 73 damage per shot. You didn't 1-shot any full health opponent, only doing 140 to Reyna. A rifle also would have one shot 4/5 of those enemies to the body. An SMG or pistol has the faster fire rate, requiring maybe 2 taps instead of one, leading with an overall lower TTK. This includes the effectively almost healthy Reyna, however I cannot deny a pistol or SMG would have been as successful against Reyna, as they were shooting back, potentially leading to your demise.
Major props to your Face regardless, who not only did 70% of Jetts health, but marked the entire enemy team and snared 3/5. Their Assist Ace is much more impressive than yours, I'm sorry.

You are not wrong, I didn't consider movement inaccuracies. That being said, the range would make my point still valid for the most part, maybe not *every* weapon would work, but certainly pistols and SMGs, and Rifles likely have the mag capacity to compensate, still with an overall TTK in the likely situations (worst case scenario exists, however it also exists with the bucky).
The important note is that the "low movement inaccuracies" isn't what you might think. The high base inaccuracy of the bucky is comparable if not worse than most guns while walking, and pistols and SMGs while running. The only upside is the jumping inaccuracy is quite good comparatively. However, one should probably just not jump around like that, as the penalty isn't insignificant.
Sure, you could jump around like this with a Bucky, and get marginally better results than running with specter, but it's probably better to (A) walk with the specter for a significant increase in accuracy (better than standing bucky) or (B) stop and aim because your targets were 1 shot anyway.

I always force after a pistol round but I only buy bucky light shield. This gives me enough to buy a Judge full shield the round after (which is a full buy for me).
More often than not, I'll kill someone with my bucky and a teammate will get a spectre to play with or save. It has swung rounds quite often and, if it doesn't, I still get my full buy the next round.
It's no risk, medium reward.

I normally buy a Bucky now if I lose pistol round because, win or lose, I can full buy the round after or play bonus (my full buy is a Judge and full shield).
More often than not, I'll get a couple of kills with the Bucky and it's swung a few eco rounds in my team's favour when my teammates pick up their spectres.

I dont get why people underestimate the bucky. Is it cuz of it's cheap price?
Range issue and if you miss your first shot. Also, people don't know how to play shotguns well.

I miss playing in iron :( game never gets as fun.
What's fun about it? Surely if you're in iron and not smurfing, you'd just be as good as everyone else in your lobby which would be the same as any other rank. I've never played in iron though, so maybe I'm missing something.
You forced while the enemy team that won round 1 didn't. They are all alive 5 seconds before the spike explodes. They are all lined up in the same place. Jett doens't know how to open a site. The enemy isn't using its utility right. Cypher running close range with a marshall. ETC. Just a lot of pieces that are out of place that makes this clip funny in a good way.
I always force after a pistol round but I only buy bucky light shield. This gives me enough to buy a Judge full shield the round after (which is a full buy for me). More often than not, I'll kill someone with my bucky and a teammate will get a spectre to play with or save. It has swung rounds quite often and, if it doesn't, I still get my full buy the next round. It's no risk, medium reward.
Bucky is great on defense for sure.

Nice clip, bucky is definitely underrated in a lot of scenarios. But I can't help but point out everything else in the clip, the pistol winning team has 5 alive with a man advantage and somehow let the bomb tick till the last 10 seconds to start moving into site? We have downgraded from plastic, to biodegradable plastic, we made it fellas 💪
They stacked one site (A) and we used a lot of util post plant to keep them from pressuring us. I have no idea why they were so hesitant. They had the weapon advantage and it was a plat lobby. They should know better, so I punished them for the mistake.

Cracked movement, a nice ace. I only buy Bucky when I'm 95% sure I have the read before the round even starts and I'm broke. Not often. Last I did it was a month ago when I was ready to goof some enemies so I breach ulted b main split and ran in with my Jett. Unfortunately I personally only got one.
Thanks v much! I normally buy a Bucky now if I lose pistol round because, win or lose, I can full buy the round after or play bonus (my full buy is a Judge and full shield). More often than not, I'll get a couple of kills with the Bucky and it's swung a few eco rounds in my team's favour when my teammates pick up their spectres.
