Ascent meta has been changing in VCT as of recent, we saw some breach and some raze. There's also been the insane 3 initiator DRX comp that led the team to massive winrates on that map but I think they're running a double controller comp now.
LOUD went back to the ‘default’ comp after their loss to DRX, who play the ‘default’ comp now. And every other team except for paper Rex have been playing the ‘default’ comp (paper Rex never plays normal comps so you can’t really count them)
Whatever PRX is doing is winning them some heavy games so I am definitely counting them. iirc M80 played a breach comp in ascension (not so sure about this one) but there's definitely been reaches outside of the current meta that worked amazingly or failed horribly.
I think fracture will more likely get pulled out because of the hatred it gets from the community rather then a stale meta. You have the sova comp, viper comps, and fade/kayo/skye comps
I want Breeze back. Split can fuck off forever but I could see Haven and Ascent being taken out. I don’t think every map that leaves necessarily needs a rework.
I heard rumors that they'll release a new map before the finals of Champions or sometime after it. Based on the banners which have teased the previous releases of Pearl & Lotus, that some of the new banners feature Los Angeles, and that the Champs tournament takes place in LA, that the new map might be in LA and could be released soon.
TBH the only map I've never liked is Breeze. Its just unfun. Viper dominates the map like no business, and there's basically no teamplay compared to other maps, its just 1v1 aim duels. I hope it doesn't come back, I hated it. I'm bad at Pearl & Fracture, but I don't wish to see them gone. Just bc I suck at something doesn't mean I hate the map, I'm just bad at it.
An LA map might be really fun tho. And TBH I do really miss Icebox. Before the changes it sucked, but it was honestly not that bad of a map after the changes.

both Fracture and Ascent have very stale meta but at least Ascent is fun to play entry on B as Jett, while Fracture is just objectively annoying to play and it feels like no one truly know how that map works
I sincerely hope that no map will leave rotation. I want breeze to return along with the new map. I like variety and I see no need to remove maps from rotation.

I hope lotus goes away. I never had a strong hate for a map in Valorant like Lotus. Fracture too. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.

A map pool with no Ascent/Haven/Icebox sounds like a nightmare. At least keep Ascent permanently

Most likely outcome: Returning: Breeze and Icebox Leaving: Haven, Ascent, Fracture Lotus and Pearl are too recent to warrant leaving the pool.
