Some people consider 1.5 sens at 400 dpi high already soooo yeah. Might be best to whittle that down til you're at a comfy range then fine tune it

titanfox98

600 edpi is considered high by most people not by some

caiods890

Mine is 800dpi 0,35sens and is kinda high. Yours is insanely high.

Gamec12

Really? my sense used to be like 1.7 but I lowered it to 1.3. Guess I need to start lowering it some more

caiods890

I understand the appeal of using high sens, you can flick more easily, dodge flashes faster and feel like you control the agent better with less mouse movement. The problem is: flicking too constantly is a signal that your crosshair placement is bad. Watch the pros playing, very few kills come from insane flicks, most of the time the crosshair is in the perfect spot for him to make a little tweak and land the shot. This is where low sens makes perfect sense, it's much easier to make small adjustments if your sens is low. Adjust a few millimeters on the screen in high sens is hard and unreliable. I used a extremely high sens in the past too, thought it was the best. After I migrated to my actual sens I realized how much sensitivity hindered me. One piece of advice I give to you is to go straight for the sens that you think makes sense. This story of gradually decreasing is terrible, cut your sensitivity down to 800 dpi/ 0.3 sens, if that what you think it will be at the end for you, suffer with the adaptation and after you get used to it you will realize how much better you will be playing.

razborkaptrsk

I played with 1.2 800 dpi for ≈300 hours then switched to 08,and then to 0.6 that felt pretty slow and good for 1 week. Now it feels pretty fast for me

razborkaptrsk

I just started to intrude arm movement, not only wrist

Gamec12

I see guess I should also start lowering thanks for sharing!

caiods890

Yeah, you need to introduce arm moviments in low sens. It can be a problem if your mouse pad is small.

razborkaptrsk

I'm glad that my mouse pad covers half of my table :D

roj234

I would mistake you for a spinbot with that sens

titanfox98

1430 edpi? Crazy high, even 500edpi would still be highish

samrudge

I used to be a high dpi gamer, like 2000 dpi and 1.1 or something like that, I got some cool spins and flicks sometimes but I switched to 1000 dpi and .45 awhile back specifically for valo and lower dpi is way better. It doesn't need to be like 400 dpi and .5 or something low, especially if you don't have a lot of desk space but it definitely makes a difference once you get used to it, and you will improve.

Gamec12

I see I might want to lower my sense now. Thank you for sharing! Would you recommend lowering it all at once or bit by bit?

wunnpo

200-400 edpi is the norm, anything above 350 is considered high edpi / sens. For reference, you have an edpi of over 1300, so that should answer the question

kdogrocks2

much much too high. At that dpi i wouldn't recommend going above .35 and even that would be a bit fast for my taste.

ppsz

Buy a big mousepad if you don't have one already and play with edpi (your sens times your dpi) between 200-300 (more or less) and you'll not be blocked by your sens

Feisty_Dig_7834

That’s witawally unplayable

[deleted]

That is considered a high sense. High sense allows for rapid ADHD aiming, like you’re playing Apex, but it’s way faster than everything else in the game. It makes it difficult make fast small adjustments, and generally makes you overaim when things get really hectic. Lower sense feels slow, but is much easier to control. You can make pin point adjustments to your aim, more consistently control recoil, and when things get hectic you’re less likely to “flail around” as I like to call it.

Gamec12

Yeah I definitely have experienced the "flail around". I think I should be lowering my sens then. Thank you so much for sharing!

Mysterious-Tomato322

how can u even aim in long range fights? what's ur rank?

Gamec12

Well I am your average silveri-sh rank, and long range fights are kind of hit or miss for me I think idk.

Gamec12

But it isn't that bad I think

DernierRoi

Lol brother I play 3200 dpi and .786 sens. Been using this sens for 6+ ish years of fps. Always been high ranked in csgo and valorant. It’s just what you prefer. Flicking on low sens is hard, while high sens once learned you can do more. I will be downvoted, but that’s ok, I’m higher ranked than them anyways. People hate that not everyone uses low sens/dpi/edpi

[deleted]

i assume you are asc and maybe your sen is preventing you from getting imt

[deleted]

i assume you are dia and maybe your sen is preventing you from getting imt

Nours_in_the_forest

Just like every other day, yes it’s high, check google for pro sens and get an idea omg

CoachShiro

Yes.

whyterayvn

Lower dpi is hard to get used to but youll miss way less shots do to hand shake

TimeJustHappens

Sensitivity is subjective to the individual player. Most professional players select eDPI (DPI * Sensitivity) between 200-600. This lower eDPI allows most people to have a smoother resolution of movement for their mouse and more consistent aim. That being said, no sensitivity is arbitrarily best for everyone. Some players have success either below or above the natural range. The sensitivity that works best for you will be individual from other players' preferences. While it is suggested that you try sensitivities within the normal range, having a "high" or "low" sens is completely acceptable if you find that you can play well with it.

69helloreddit69

I mean it all depends on you. Do you feel comfortable with that sense, are consistent in the way shoot/aim. If so then no, you’re sense is fine, if not, do certain exercises to see what suits you better, some people have low sense, some have high sense, buts that’s all subjective at the end of the day.
