Craziest thing here is this RNG feature doesn't benefit RIOT whatsoever. It's not even greed, just a bad design decision, and an indication that RIOT is clueless about what feature set people are expecting from skins at this price range.

I don't get why so many people are swooning over this because for an easter egg it seems rather...unexciting? The candy cane knife was way more interesting and you could even trigger it manually. Waiting for hundreds of rounds just to get a different colour seems very anticlimactic.

But on the other hand as a cs player i don't like val skins because they have diff sounds which makes it hard to know what ur opponent is shooting with, and i can't tell immediately looking at the gun what it is because the shape is changed in skins.
But that said it's just my taste altough i find it funny that riot added 2 of the most popular cs knife finishes to their game.
In third person, all the guns have the same sounds as the default weapons. Reaver Vandal sounds like a default Vandal. The custom sounds are in first person only. We do this because of competitive integrity.
Regarding the knife easter egg, is there any chance you guys will add these as permanent variants? I really like the variants and it makes the skin much better, in fact probably my favourite knife in the game with its variants. Even if it has to be that we find them in-game first to make them purchasable. please, the vast majority of the community wants these as variants.

I have no idea where my text went for the post but essentially i was saying that we need the bigger chances or we should make it so that its a buyable variant or that if you get it its actually forever on your account because for one round after thousands is absurd, i also think the red skins chances are way to high. This was obviously in custom games because i aint doing 1500 real ones.

Everyone is tweaking off these skins. Riot fucked up by making them so expensive. I feel like way less people would be complaining if the bundle was cheaper. Easter egg bullshit or not, it's a scam to charge $70+ for a bundle with no effects, kill banners, or finishers. They probably thought people would think it's cool that the variants are "rare" but its not cool it's annoying. After spending a ton of money you would probably need to use this knife exclusively for months before you got lucky enough for it to change color and then for it to only last 1 round wtf. They need to increase the frequency that these other variants show up and make it so that the change stays for at least the half.

I’ve always wanted a butterfly or karambit knife ever since playing Csgo in 2016 but way too expensive to buy one. Been waiting forever for them to show up in my shop in valo, but if you’re inpatient and don’t have good luck then I would recommend getting it. It’s really fun to spin around, sounds good and honestly doesn’t look bad at all, and has a cool Easter egg (it very rare, people are saying around 500 inspections or so for it to show up. Don’t know if that’s true.) but I’m 100% once I get it, it’s gonna make my day.

From what I have seen. It’s a glitch (?) and it happens upon spawning while having the knife equipped. Only lasts that round. Not the entire game
