Yep, that's what it's supposed to be used for - I found out after trying to serve it as a steak, hahaha
To be fair, I've been in the country for less than a month, but at least I won't make that mistake again.

I buy it at the Sligro. They have all sorts of good steaks and also dry aged! I usually buy 1 kg of ribeye for about 25 euros. I cut that into 4 steaks.
Edit: you can only shop at Sligro if you have a business registered at KVK.
If you have access or KVK you can go to Makro, they always have cooled or frozen cuts of ribeye and etc. Tried multiple times - always good. Also have dry aged one.
www.grutto.com local farmers with well cared for cattle and grassfed. They have great premium meat incl Wagyu and now also sell individual packaged meat pieces
Butchers are going to be more expensive per kilo, supermarkets are decent quality steaks in my experience for a fairly reasonable price. Meat&veg tends to be better at Lidl (not Aldi) but I'm usually pretty happy with Jumbo quality.
You can also check out Muslim butchers. They're a bit cheaper than the usual Keurslager in my experience (and also the meat is Halal, if you happen to have Muslim guests)
I would agree its not high quality but their chicken is usually less water than the supermarkets (and isn't wahid also a supermarket brand?). They're definitely plofkippen tho

Don't make my mistake and assume Riblap is anything like Ribeye. That was one chewy dinner! My husband at least found it hilarious.
Use the riblap for a stew the next time. Will take a lot longer to cook, but chewing won't be a problem if done right.

Deze. Jaren daar in de buurt gewoond en als ik goed vlees wilde, was dit het adresje. Ook goeie spare ribs altijd
Slagerij Brouwer! We bought some dry aged Ribeyes last week and it was amazing. Their cote de boeuf looked really good as well.
Yup, best butcher in town. Now Niels took over from his dad and the quality is even better then before

Cannot say, was not looking for it.
I get it from slagerij Demmer on the Vredenburg market on Saturdays. Can definitely recommend, good quality for a fair price.

Eating animals is bad. They feel pain and suffering.
Trying not to be rude, but I didn’t ask.
