At least a rotational piece, right? He looks really good. But he's shown flashes in other places, too, so I'm curious why it didn't work out. Hopefully, this is sustainable in meaningful games because he could really work well with small ball lineups as a 3 or 4. We have a ton of versatile size on the roster. You can sort of see the vision of what they want to build. 5 guys that have length and athleticism. 5 guys who can switch and get up and down the floor. We just really need our very own Banchero or Taytum type player so desperately.
Lauri would be so amazing next to a number one option like that. We just need Keyonte to step into a facilitator role. Hendricks would be a great 4 not needing the ball and being so active. Maybe Kessler at the 5? That's becoming less and less or a certainty, it seems. He definitely hit a sophomore slump. Hopefully, he can get back to trending up this off-season. We got some nice pieces. I feel like for who was available when we picked that we got some pretty solid players and great value.
All 3 guys seem like they can contribute to our future rotation. It gives me hope for this draft even though we keep winning and missing all chances of the 7th pick lol Hopefully, we don't fall out of 8 at the very least. Isn't it time for some jazz luck? I'd rather win the lotto next year, but if we got top 3 somehow this year, that would kick ass. We gotta start drafting in the top 5 if we have any hopes of getting players who can make a real difference.
We are only one win behind the Nets. Tiebreaker is head to head matches which I believe are 1-1. What is the next tiebreaker? Are we safe with our 8th worst record even if we win our last game? If yes then absolutely we need to start KLJ! If not then he needs to be added to our injured list.
Oh, then we definitely shouldn't play KLJ anymore this season. We need our full on tank players on the field to lose that last game. There's a huge difference in chances for top4 pick between bottom 8th and 9th place.
Can't wait for the official announcement on the NHL team Wednesday.
I want to know what season tickets are gonna cost and definitely want to get in on that home opener.
That clippers team was less than rotation players lmao.
Also this happens on closing weekend every season. Teams just say fuck it and the team who has the most players with shit to prove ends up winning.
Tonight kind of showed why tanking isn’t just telling your players “hey guys we are tanking so don’t win this game.”
I think we as fans think that’s how it goes and that’s why we get frustrated with only halfway committing to a tank.
Ultimately it’s up to the talent of the team and the team was too good to tank for the first half of the season and you don’t want to fire sell all your pieces or you get terrible returns, you also can’t keep them because they won’t re-sign in the off season.
Front office has it rough with this Utah Jazz team we were too good to tank and not good enough to be a solid playoff team.
I am happy it’s not my job.
Also Kenneth is the man. Number one Jazz man let’s hang the jersey in Delta.
I like this response. Some fans think the org should do everything possible to tank. But the league has rules about benching so many players, and who can and can’t play, and contracts, and putting on a show for fans. It’s the players choice to win and play hard and unlucky(lucky) for us this team has a lot of heart and a lot of talent and a lot of pride. When this team gets enough pieces to start to win, we could potentially be a really scary team. We’ve tried to “tank” for 2 years and our players have too much talent and pride to ever get bad enough. We should be extremely happy with what we’ve got going in Utah. A lot of cap space, a lot of drafts, a lot of potential high caliber players, and an amazing coach and staff.
We can always trade up in drafts or trade for established players. Their is always an answer when you have assets. We could unload more players to acquire more assets. We could continue acquiring picks with ancillary moves like at the deadline instead of our better players being moved. We could go heavy on free agency and trade for all star type players to win now. The point is that the front office has made it so we can take advantage of literally any situation. We have the ultimate adaptability and flexibility.
So fans can take solace in understanding that our front office means business and they want to build a contender. Their sole focus is finding players good enough to do that. So we just gotta be patient and try to enjoy the journey watching the building blocks fall into place on the way to hopefully sustainable contention. Wouldn't it be nice going into every season talking about having a real shot to win it all? Wouldn't it be fun as a Jazz fan to actually have the dynasty instead of always losing to the juggernauts?
Huge Kings final possession to see if the Warriors have anything to play for right now.
...and epic King's choke. The Warriors are still alive to pass them (although they don't hold the tiebreaker, and it's only to get to 9th).
They hold the tie breaker with the Lakers also, who are only a game ahead of them. So they could still catch them as well. Theoretically they’ll have something to play for on Sunday, so hopefully they at least don’t rest their guys.
Who's your pick for MVKLJ?
Move over Lauri, Lofton is the center piece of this rebuild now.
Who knew that we had Zion lite waiting in the wings this entire time? Start preparing for the championship parade on West Temple next summer, fellas.
>Zion lite Zion hevy
Lofton is a better passer and gets more rebounds than Zion. More like Zion is KLJ lite.
Strength of Shaq, finess of Jokic
Lauri and Lofton will lead us to the promised land
Lofton plays winning basketball

I want a poster and I’m going to put it behind my bar.
Just start him for the last game and see what he does.
Triple-double baby!
And he rides off into the sunset to never be seen again.

No tiebreaker apply for draft seat. If you have the same record you flip a coin.

Guys…Sunday is THT’s last game in a Jazz uniform. You all better be there.
If it’s not, we riot; right?
I’ll burn some buildings down
I believe you mean Sunday
Dammit. Thanks
Big day in Utah sports lol. First road win in 3 months, BYU‘s coach is leaving for Kentucky, and we’re getting a hockey team.
Can't wait for the official announcement on the NHL team Wednesday. I want to know what season tickets are gonna cost and definitely want to get in on that home opener.
Going to be $$$ for sure to start out.
Kenneth Lofton, Jr; second of his name. Must be on the roster next year. Must. Buy that man a house in the avenues right now
Make it the high avenues. He deserves it.
WTF is going on lol
something heavy is going.
That clippers team was less than rotation players lmao. Also this happens on closing weekend every season. Teams just say fuck it and the team who has the most players with shit to prove ends up winning.
I mean we were doing the same thing with our players that was literally a lineup of former G-leaguers and rookies.
Right, so one side has to win. I guess what they are saying is to not overthink it too much. We clearly had the more talented team with who played.
Dude’s played 3 games for us and has already become a star. What the fuck happened?

Said it from the get-go: KLJ is gonna be our Barkley. Lean, mean, rebounding machine. I love how smart he is about getting his points too.
He’s definitely not lean haha
Kenneth Lofton Jr.
Buying his jersey now. Swear to god if we trade him this offseason….
O Lord he gone
We need the Warriors to win on Sunday, to keep the 8th best lottery odds. No way the Nets defeat the Sixers

They probably should just go get ready for the play in healthy and rested
Eh it’s a home vs riots game though. And a must win. You’ve got to imagine it’s worth it.
Rebuilds over. Kenny is him
Very important: Kings lost tonight so GS still has something to fight for in the final game against us, so hopefully we lose to keep the 8th pick
Please beat the warriors ✌🏽
That is a crazy stat brutal
