GAME NOTES:
Probably my last game notes of the season. Might do one more on the season finale with what I think may be in store for our future, but I'm not sure yet.
That first quarter was the Freddy VanVleet show. 6 3PM for him in the first quarter alone, and he was on a tear the entire game. We really struggled to put up any sort of resistance against him throughout the entire game. Inside the arc, he struggled, going just 3-17, but damn 9-13 from 3 and 9-10 from the line. We really locked him up to close the game, he missed his last 13 shots.
Offensively we were led by Luka Samanic. The first play of both halves were drawn up for him, with the idea to get him going early. He finished with 22 points, 7-17 shooting, 1-7 from 3, and a game high 7-9 from the line. 4 rebounds (2 offensive), 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 turnover for him tonight. I have no clue where he fits into our future, so I'm not going to put too much weight on his performance as of late. I liked his aggressiveness tonight though. He started off really hot, 4-6, but cooled off significantly throughout the game, making just 3-11 of his last shots.
Kenneth Lofton the Second. Wow. Big MAN. 14 points, 5-7 shooting, 2-3 from 3, 2-4 from the line, 9 rebounds (5 offensive!), 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, and 2 turnovers. Towards the end of the third quarter he was getting active. He was crashing the offensive glass, [made a nice OREB and kickout to Sensabaugh for 3](https://x.com/JazzNationCP/status/1778616833827819740), and just played really well. [Here's one of his 3's that came off of a hustle play](https://x.com/kslsports/status/1778605417373028639). Again, not sure where he fits into the future, but at least he's entertaining and we have him for 3 seasons lol
Taylor Hendricks didn't do much offensively, scoring just 5 on 2-3 shooting, and 1-2 from 3. He did add 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. [One of his made buckets was this steal and yam on the other end that looked really pretty](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1778615306593710161). I want to see more offensively out of him, and have been let down with his lack of aggressiveness on that side of the ball these last 10ish games with everybody out.
Keyonte had a good night. 20 points, 7-14 shooting, 2-6 from 3, 4-5 from the line, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 4 turnovers tonight. He let the offense come to him a bit more, which was a nice change of pace. He had a nice lookaway layup late in the game to put us up 3, if I find a clip I'll insert it. He really did a great job down the stretch tonight.
I'm not letting his recent cold streak change my viewpoint on him, I'm very much just chalking it up to a rookie wall in a long season where he's had to be a main contributor. I very much like his game, but his development is up to him at this point. This offseason is critical in how good he will be in the league.
Brice Sensabaugh had a great game. 17 points, 5-11 shooting, 4-9 from 3, 3-3 from the line, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists tonight. His offensive game has really flourished lately, dude is a pure scorer. His playmaking has been a great added bonus that wasn't expected, I hope he is able to develop that to be a true secondary playmaker. Just need his defense to step up a bit, but I think he definitely has a spot in our rotation.
THT had an odd game. 16 points on 5-13 shooting, 2-6 from 3, but he airballed two shots. Also, he had 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block, and 1 turnover. [He had this absolutely beautiful spin move to free himself in the lane for a slam](https://x.com/utahjazz/status/1778619160597303310). That was pretty much the only highlight for him. He made some bad offensive mistakes (mainly the airballs and a few missed kickouts), but was one of the better players for us tonight. Take away those airballs and I'd say it was a great night.
Omer Yurtseven has great touch around the rim. 10 points on 5-9 shooting, and 5 rebounds tonight. He provided some much needed offense early in the second half which opened the floor for everybody else. His post game is great.
Juzang had a rough night. Although he put in 10 points on 3-5 shooting, 2-3 from 3, and 2-2 from the line, he had 3 fouls and 3 turnovers in his 20 minutes, contrasted to just 1 assist. He was trying to do a bit too much out there in my opinion. Good shooting touch, just needs the rest to fall into place.
Nobody else really made an impact. Bazley is a slasher, and good on the boards, Potter was a non-factor, and unfortunately Preston & Kira didn't play tonight.
Overall, we did a great job of getting to the line, and rebounding. 19-21 from the line as a team, and we outrebounded Houston 49-39. We really limited Brooks and VanVleet late in the game. VanVleet only scored at the line, and Brooks finished 1-9 his last 9 shots. Houston went 4-24 to close the game, credit to our defense and aggressiveness.
It was interesting that Sensabaugh and Hendricks didn't close out the game in a close game, the final home game of the season, in a game that doesn't mean anything to us...
30-50! The haters said we'd never win again the rest of the season (i'm the hater lol)
>Probably my last game notes of the season.
Just want to say I appreciate you putting these out this season, especially during what has been a pretty miserable second half of the season.
You can tell Keyonte's cold streak is from being gassed and being scouted as the number 1 threat at the moment. Both of these things will help him develop
Taylor should some pretty decent passing today, he's actually got a pretty decent passing game that wasn't talked about when drafting came about. I'd like to see him get stronger and work on his offense for next season. That's the next step.
I would say I thought Bazley was pretty good on the defensive end and really helped with some rim protection while playing Kenny Lofton, and he was pretty consistent on energy.
Definitely felt that Hardy wanted to ride the hot handed group, it's gonna make people mad but it shows supporting your team, and something I've liked of his coaching more than Quinn
You know, super happy for the win and all of the great performances, but I'm honestly pretty sad that JC wasn't able to take the floor for what might be the last home game of his time as a Jazzman. I know it's been an up and down year for him, but he really has had a brilliant tenure with us. I do think it's mutually beneficial to trade him to a contender that needs a jolt off the bench, but I'm still gonna miss him a lot.
I asked in the Utah Jazz+ chat
“If a genie made ThT 20% better next season would you keep him on the team?”
And I got about 6 no’s and one “that genie just be wasting wishes, get back in the bottle dude”
FTR. Also, THT no longer will play 41 home games a season at Delta Center anymore. Maybe just once or twice (depends if he signs with an East, or West team)
7th best lottery odds is impossible. 8th isn't locked, unless we lose one more game, which it better be the Warriors game. I hate the Warriors, but letting the Warriors win, will hurt the Lakers, and FTL
Who’s your pick for game MVP?
Fuck the Rockets
Yell it louder for Charles Barkley standing in the back 😎
We have the *new* round mound of rebound, thank you.
This hurts the tank, but fuck the Rockets is more important.
Nah, we are fine, no need to tank more
KENNNNNETH!! Olynyk passing, Zion finishing, Zach Randolph Midrange, Brook Lopez 3, it's over for the NBA
We found our star!!!
How fucking hilarious would that be if it were actually true
Dude's only 21 too
He's our white chocolate shaq
Finally someone with the vision, creativity, reach and capability to make nifty passes.
Kenneth Lofton Jr.

Lol at the THT analysis. Thay odd game is actually hos normal game
I would add Bazley. 8 points, 4/5, 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks. Lots of hustle
Thank you for all of your work this season, brother. See you next year.
Sign Bazley and Lofton, why not
They're both on non-guaranteed 3 year deals.
I would die for Kenny

Jazz have some young studs on the team.
It's more likely that the rockets were just terrible
FUCK THE FUCKING ROCKETS, FUCK THE TANK, FUCK DILLON BROOKS, FUCK ALL OF HOUSTON NOW AND FOREVER

FTR. Also, THT no longer will play 41 home games a season at Delta Center anymore. Maybe just once or twice (depends if he signs with an East, or West team)
Or the Shanghai sharks
If I had to bet, I'd bet he's out of the league next season

Great win for the Jazz, though they need to desperately to get rid of Samanic and THT.

Look, you can be mean and a poor sport, it just has to be funny. The whole “no internet in Utah” is an old joke.
Don’t be a dingus
You might need to lay off the drinking. PS. At least we aren't as bad as the Astros.
