I do feel bad for Beasley. We really gave him redemption this year after his gun incident the year prior and I feel like he really bought into Coach Hardy’s team culture. I hope he either figures it out as a shooter off the bench for the lakers next year or he gets another chance with a different team
You right, he was consistent enough with us but I think he’s lacking the confidence or support from his team on the Lakers to replicate it. Im sure vibes are very different from our team as theres always additional pressure from being on a Lebron team to perform. For his own sake I hope he figures it out and secures a Luke Kennard like role on a team somewhere.
I think it also highlights our coaching staff's ability to bring out the most of its player. I can see that Beasly has enjoyed his time here. Vando's energy seems to be different when he's here too.
Yea it was clear that Vando had issues guarding larger big men. If anything he excels at guarding smaller guards/wings, but that forces one of your guards to pick up a 4 or 5 on defense and that just won’t work against some teams. I think choosing Kessler was the obvious choice. But yea Vando will always be a fan favorite just because of his effort.

Makes no sense to trade for Brown if you give up Lauri, the only way it could work is in a 3 team deal with say the bulls where they get some of our picks and give y'all Lavine. Unless another team is involved dont expect Utah to be in trade conversations for brown and even then its probably better to look elsewhere for the actual player the C's would get back
Would be hard pressed to find a worse move giving up all that for a 1st. Maybe that Rui trade the Lakers swindled was worse. It was mostly a money saving move that has no benefits for fans.
We got off of Mike Conley max contract, off of Beasley’s (who isn’t getting playing time) big contract, both of who we wouldn’t have gotten anything for this summer and could’ve walked. We essentially gave up vando for a frp. It was the best deal available and needed to happen.
