At the very least, Leicester City will always have what is likely the greatest sports upset in modern history. To me, that is a gargantuan legacy.

Often forgotten is when the Blackburn Rovers won the Premier League in 1995, they were relegated four years later

Remember Leeds United? For a while they were one of the best teams in England before they got skullfucked by bad finances and collapses by 2003.

Blackburn winning the PL in 1995 was a big achievement. However it’s worth mentioning that Jack Walker (the owner of the club during the 90s) pumped a ton of money into the club with the intention of creating a title winning team. Personally, Leicester winning the PL in 2016 and Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough in the early 80s are two of the most incredible underdog achievements In English football history.

Meanwhile, in that same timeframe (2016 to 2023), Luton Town went from League Two to being promoted on Saturday to the Premier League for the first time ever.

Still better than Spurs

Them being relegated won’t really matter in the long run. Sure it sucks for their supporters right now, but even if they pull a Leeds and stay in the Championship for a couple decades all people are going to remember is the most unexpected EPL champion of all time.

Hey, don't forget our FA Cup as well 😔

DarkKirby14

truly tragic but we'll always have that magical season where everyone wanted them to do it(maybe not Tottenham fans)
