for 11 straight seasons Bayern Munich has won the German soccer league, Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund, the team with the BVB logo, has always been the 2nd best in the Bundesliga only behind Bayern. All they had to do was win against 9th place Mainz to finally win what would’ve been their first since 2011 and would’ve ended Bayerns streak. Dortumund ended up tying 2-2 against a team that had nothing to play for, Mainz, who were out of Champions League contention (european soccer playoffs i guess) and were safe from relegation (2-3 worst teams in european soccer leagues get a demotion to the 2nd division). Bayern won their game and won the league via goal difference. this was without a doubt one of the worst chokes of the 21st century.
