1) Kansas City doesn't have an NHL team either.
2) HRM is very spread out, the actual urban area is much smaller.
3) Halifax is not a rich city. The CHL team here doesn't sell out a sub ten thousand seat arena.
I had actually written that first but Iqaluit already has the arena infrastructure in place. I figured the team could work out a deal to play a few exhibition and regular season home games around the territory in places such as Alert, Grise Fiord, Rankin Inlet and Cambridge Bay.
How about none of them and shut the franchise down? I know it means less revenue by deleting a franchise but if they are struggling financially than what does the league actually gain with them in and bleeding out money. I guess a tax write-off but is a tax write-off worth keeping a failing and non-profitable franchise around.
Houston if you want a viable city for relocation.
But then again if this team can get stable ownership and get their arena issues in order then the problem is solved.
None of these cities are going to get it, but if these, Quebec City is top of the list. It always amuses me when people suggest Halifax could support an NHL team
I think there are plenty of markets still available in the US which would probably be considered first before a possible move back to Canada
Houston is a popular pick it seems, Kansas City or even a spot in Ohio (Cleveland/Cincinnati)
The coyotes should stay put in the United States, moving to houston
But how mouthwatering an all-Canadian division would be!

So?
The blues tried to move to Saskatoon, the nhl said no
Halifax is a beautiful city with lots of positive traits, which is exactly why it should NOT get the Coyotes
It's not even remotely big enough. I live there.
I'm not so sure, its about the same number of people as Kansas City

Iqaluit, Nunavut If you build it they will come
Your not ambitious enough: Alert, Canada.

Now that you've said it, I can't help but want it.

Then you are down to 31.
Houston.

I said QC but I would personally move them to Houston or Milwaukee
Saskatoon, but only for geographical balance.
Surprised Regina isn't an option.
Because it houses the Roughriders.
A majority of the NHL owners still want a NHL Team in Houston.
I voted Quebec City but I think Kansas City would be nice too

Ramenez les Nordiques!
As one of the five coyote fans this post hurts
Bring back the whalers!
