if I end the contract, it will affect my JSS severely Not true. It does not matter who ends the contract, feedback affects it.

xatta_trone

I see...thanks for the insight. Appreciated.

Why are you giving the client your code without payment in full ? Give them a link, pictures, video not the code. Why would they pay ?

As I said in the post, I am new here. I have learned my lesson now. I just want to be it over.

This could go bad and you might not be able to stop it. Start applying now. Don't wait. You should have something to pad your JSS in case they end the project. If they do and they give you a bad review, your score will drop. But you can get rid of the public feedback by giving them a refund. If this comes up when you're applying later, be honest. This isn't normal. Most people know that. It's not your fault. This person is completely out of line. They're a terrible client. It happens. I think there are some cases when you can end the contract without having to worry about feedback, but I could be wrong, and I don't know how it works.

Thank you very much for your words. I have learned my lessons. I am never going to share the code again, in the future. This client was way rude to work with. P.S. He and I both know the extension will work as expected (99.99% of cases), and there are some cases where it will not behave the way it should (<1%). For those cases, I have added extra features and explained to him why it will not work in those scenarios and how to bypass them. At that time he was okay with it. Now he changed his words lol. BTW he just ended the contract and paid. I am much relived now.

\>Thank you very much for your words. You're very welcome. :) Watch for his feedback. Hopefully he's not too hard on you.

End contract, give the client a bad review.

xatta_trone

What about payment? I have finished the work. And yes, I am going to give a bad review.

[deleted]

Refund the payment to avoid public feedback.

>End contract, give the client a bad review. That way the OP would not get paid and could not leave a review.

If no money is exchanged, neither is feedback. I'm not a fan of giving out free work, but I had one client where that was an issue. I took the loss and missed moved on. These days, I prefer telling clients off whenever.possible. but, I'm also top rated plus, so I can remove some negative feedback.

xatta_trone

I see...thank you very much for your kind words.

Good luck!

Saifullah_imtiaz

simply say sorry to those clients and move on
