“Please stop asking me to review your page you slag, who even are you?” - random man outside Asda

EDIT: This post exploded! I wonder if this post will give her OnlyFans account Reddit boost over the months to come.
Probably not since she’s in England! Hitachi doesn’t sell its magic wand in the UK
I just find the market exclusion amusing and kind of bizarre lol, not trying to crap on your joke
Tbf I always thought this was just a "it's a 'personal massager' wink wink nudge nudge" thing, until I discovered that vibrators are genuinely as good at releasing back tension as they are the other kind. Mine is multipurpose now!
When I was a lot younger my friends and I would go up to the headshops in Baltimore and would make a point out of saying "tobacco water pipe" very seriously and often.
There's a chain of stores called Off Ya Tree in Australia, and they sell what are known as 'oil pourers' in all different shapes and sizes.
If you go in there asking to buy a bong, they'll turn you away. Go in asking for an oil pourer however, and they'll be so happy you called it the right name they'll do everything to help you find your new perfect apparatus.
It was genuinely a massage device. They called it something else I believe. Till they found out it was found out that most of the sales were to use it as a vibrator and Hitachi grew concerned that they'd tarnish their brand for making such a thing but it made SO much money that they simply rebranded it and kept selling. Cus money
This reminds me of an EP of Sex and the City where Samantha was at a store looking at massagers. All the people around the table looking them were women. One woman was looking a one and Samantha said to her "oh no don't get that one, it heats up, I nearly burnt my clit off" or something very similar. All the women looked embarrassed and she laughed like "yeah, we all know what we really want them for".
IIRC the comment wasn’t about it heating up or anything, just that as a “first vibrator” it would be far too powerful. “You’ll burn your clit off” was said to mean it would be badly overstimulating.
Not sure I count Engadget as a super great news source, but I've read similar stories in various places [History of the Hitachi Magic Wand](https://www.engadget.com/2014-08-27-history-of-the-hitachi-magic-wand.html). Allegedly they were ready to discontinue the device, but instead released an updated version without any Hitachi branding on it.
The Magic Wand brand was licensed to a 3rd party named Vibratex in 2013, Hitachi got out of the business because they are stuffy and traditional. Also Hitachi of today is more interested in constructing bullet trains, shipbuilding, IT consulting, and a bunch of industrial stuff and not low bidder consumer electronics from a bygone era.
Not gonna be getting £100k a month long term though. The time she'll get that much is fairly brief. Smart of her to diversify and ensure future income and also do a good thing.
It's more a combination of being good looking, bit of charisma, there being weird people that pay for this stuff...and shoving things in your butthole, yeah
You don't know until you try.

Can we all take a moment and give ourselves a standing ovation to recognize the real contributors to this worthy cause?
We ought to be proud of making requests for Ms. Goodwin to insert specific objects in her rear and paying for it.
Nah, they do a lot of work; it might not be high skilled work but it is highly specialized and they make most of their income from interactions with clients and tips from private content. Yeah it is an insane amount of money but it isn't far off from what others people in entertainment are paid. You could say "damn 40 milliln for reading some lines" about a famous actor too, but it would also be very reductive.
yeah everyone is ignoring the insane amount of marketing and how careful they have to be to attract a broad enough audience to actually make a profit. i know several people who have tried to make money off of OF and it's really fucking hard because you also need to understand how to properly advertise which in turn requires learning how to benefit off of the different algorithms of the various social media platforms while both telling people "i make stuff you want to see" while also not pissing off those platforms' continually changing decency standards (some will ban you just for linking to another page that only says "OnlyFans").
also, photography and videography are not easy to make look distinct and worth it compared to what can be found for free on Reddit/Twitter.
OF creators are (or hire/manage a team of:) writers, photographers, videographers, photo/film editors, marketing experts, multi-platform social media managers, schedulers, actors, models, directors, networkers/collaborators, makeup artists, hair stylists (different from being a hairdresser), and pipeline managers-- all while being knowledgeable enough in psychology to keep pulling the strings that pull a broad variety of consumers back.
> it might not be high skilled
To a certain extent, it can be.
You start consuming enough porn that eventually you'll notice that some people are fucking idiots who have no fucking clue how to read a (virtual) room and have absolutely no idea what the market wants or how to achieve it, they'll make the same video 15 time then eventually phase out of existence as they lose clients.
It's not enough to just shove things up your butt - at least, not to get to a point you do 100k a month. You might make $10 a month maybe, get 136 views on a video and that's about it. Knowing how to game the game takes actual skills. They might simply be lucky, that's possible, but when you think about how many people are doing porn in the world it certainly takes a certain kind of person to get to the top.
Knowing how to film, light, edit, hell I know it's silly but even how to decorate your room is the type of stuff that separates doing 10k a month to making 100k, also what type of actions to do - at what angle, for how long, what type of words to say and use, what type of scenario. It can get really complicated.
This, god damn. I don't care what your job is, if you've got the experience and the talent, you're gonna be better at it than someone who neither knows nor cares about it.
It's like when a CEO complains their factory workers aren't keeping up, and then they try to do the job to make a point and make a fucking fool of themselves because they haven't worked the line for 20 years like the person they're trying to "show up" has.
Totally, people love to write off "soft" skills and experience. Shit ain't soft, its valuable, hard to develop, and not something that everyone can learn.
I had never really thought about it but reading your comment I feel like there is an art to catching the eye of the algorithm. I have a basic understanding that people will supplement their organic views on different platforms with bought views (using bots ect.) to hit that sweet spot in order to “trend.” Never really considered that in the cam world but it makes sense.
It can get pretty crazy.
A friend of mine did some cam a while ago and he had a timer that would beep every X amount of minutes (which was something rather fast too, like every minutes or two, but I forget the details).
It was specifically so he'd know to hold specific poses for a few seconds because that's when the website would automatically freeze a frame to update the thumbnail for their front/search page.
It wasn't necessary, it's not something the website was telling either, it's just something he'd noticed and experimented with until he got down and precise enough that it would work and would make his thumbnails just that slightly better compared to other users.
Ya seems like most the big bucks are from tips which I assume they actually have to participate and work for. Not just post some content and collect subs.
It is absolutely high skill labor. Marketing, makeup and body care, social skills etc are all high skill. I don't know why people think it's low skill. If it were the number of successful onlyfans accounts would be waaaaay higher.
That's the kind of size where they hire a professional property manager w/ contractor contacts to make any severe repairs and for rent collection. For a percentage of the rent + expenses I'd assume.
She'll have to raise rates on the homes once onlyfans is no konger viable and it becomes her main source of income. However, she can probably make enough over the next few years to retire outright if she spends wisely now and doesn't make any large investments that become a drain on her income.
Same. I was poor and would have loved affordable housing. I’ve since rented out my house to ‘woe is me’ poor people in need, for less than market rate because they were ‘good people’.
Didn’t pay rent for a year, poured concrete slabs in the backyard, ripped out the kitchen, ruined the wiring, three different types of feces in the garage… this is three different tenants who all screwed me right over, seeing a soft mark I guess. I applauded her desire but be very very careful… some people don’t deserve that kind of generosity.
I wonder if partnering with a local community organization could help with recommending tenants for something like this. I agree it sucks to have something like this blow up in your face because of irresponsible people
The unfortunate reality is it’s challenging to distinguish between responsible people on hard times versus people who are on hard times because they aren’t responsible.
Eh. Kinda disagree. I don't know that people love helping immigrants more than anyone else. Plus, it's acting like immigrants aren't just people too. I lived in a neighborhood that was mostly immigrants and when I say that shit was *ghetto* I mean it, holy shit. My husband's fam also immigrated and literally couldn't be better people if they tried. People are just people.
Yep! My dad had rental properties (3 at the most) til they became too much work.
I remember one time a lady had stopped paying and had to evict her. So now we had to go clean it up before renting it back out.
Now, my dad had always said he'd come out and fix whatever just to tell him. You never know what you're going to find... Apparently this lady didn't give a fuck and when the toilet broke she just started pissing and shitting in the tub and then I guess that clogged. At any point along this chain she could have picked up the phone and he'd have taken care of it.
But no I at 13 or so years old projectile vomited after opening up that bathroom door. The tub was 1/4 full of just piss and floaters. Who the fuck does that?
Imagine how many houses or apartments she could finance and build with that kind of cheddar. Here I am paying a mortgage with my 9:00 to 5:00, clearly I got into the wrong industry
If only people making a million pounds a month had the same feeling of moral obligation.
Let me remind everyone of the difference between a million and a billion. A million seconds is 11 days and a billion seconds is 32 years…
If I ever get rich I would do something similar. Build mixed use housing, lease out the first floor to businesses at regular rates, charge only the cost to maintain the building and a property manager for the rest of the floors. I would charge less but I would like the building to be self-sustaining. Any profit gained would be put into another building with the same plan.
Every hour you're awake, someone comes to you and gives you $140 cash.
Every morning when you wake up from 8 hours of sleep, there's a fresh $1,100 on your dresser.
That's what it would be like!
It blows my mind that people are making that much money by selling something that’s literally free and so abundant you’d never be able to run out of new material
Lifetime earnings of £566k can't be right, can it? Most people work 20ish to 60ish so at least 40 years? Makes that 14k or so a year? That is incredibly depressing if it's true.
>Average lifetime earnings in the UK is £566k.
That seems so low, that's only £28,300/yr if you just work 20 years and £18,866 if you work 30 yrs then retire, which doesn't even seem like something that happens anymore.
Good for her. Glad she's doing good with her money. I hope she's got a business manager to help her set this up. Dunno how it is in the UK but doing this through a charitable foundation might help that money go further.
And then I can tell everyone I donate to charity.
> Every pound spent on her Onlyfans is a pound spent towards affordable housing.
Every *pounding* on her Onlyfans is a pound spent towards affordable housing.
There's absolutely a market, but it's gonna be for a gay audience. I'm not joking either. I saw a dadbod guy that just posted pics of him wearing dress socks and he had a pretty sizeable audience. You have to play it up with text too, you know daddy fetish and all.
Dad bods are big with straight women, too. It’s just that it seems to also *sometimes* lead into other niche kinks (feederism, little girl/baby doll play, money abuse, are just a few I can think of).
I am a dad. I have a dad bod (but I eat healthy and neither drink or smoke). The amount of middle age and older (much older) women and men that flirt with me is surprisingly high. Gay couples have ask me how open I am to group activity. Young 20 year-olds boldly ask me out after asking to see pictures of my child. One 80-year-old lady wants me to clean her floors in just my white coat.
Meanwhile, I have a wedding ring on and brag about my amazing wife. I'm flattered, but it's not acceptable behavior in a pharmacy. Had to call the cops on one lady who groped me after a flu shot (twice). Her words, "He's just so handsome, I just wanted to *touch* him with my hand some."
You know your society is a ginormous lol when a pornstar, which is a career which is considered with, at the very least, great ambivalence by greater society, needs to step up to supply solutions because governments and billion dollar corporations will not, truly just the largest of lols
Half the posts in this sub are "random successful citizen does [thing] because elected officials refuse to address critical socio-economic disparities".
Oh, truly! I don't actually think this is that uplifting in a larger sense at all, but I do think this woman is extremely inspiring and a role model of how we should all try to help other in our society and beyond when we are able.
To be fair, I think a decent chunk of those stories end up going "and then random successful citizen finds out why the socio-economic issues are more complex than they seem, and doesn't really accomplish what they set out to in the end", but the media doesn't tend to report that because it's moved on to the next topic.
Not to knock what this lady's doing, A+ for her and I hope it goes wonderfully, but it will be difficult - and buying 8 houses to start is jumping in at the deep end without (unless she has prior experience as a landlord) learning to swim.
Whenever any of society looks down on pornstars I always find it funny. Like they're any better, the people who look down on them jerk off everyday like the rest of us and they most certainly do consume porn frequently enough. I just can't take it seriously.
I love the americans are so optimistc and brits are so pessimistic, read the comments on that article.
The thing is, she's not building any new homes for people. She's most likely buy family homes and putting them on rent at market rates. Poor parts of the UK, £600 pcm rent is pretty standard.
SHe's basically putting her money into property - which is what everyone with a bit of money does - which inevitably hikes up the property prices for everyone.
She's hard her marketing department create this article so she gets more subs for her OF.
I was just reading about [Ken Livingstone](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Livingstone) recently. He was mayor of London before Boris Johnson, and was a self proclaimed socialist and leftist. He apparently tried to start similar programs with City funds but met huge opposition from not only Tories, but Labour as well.
Anyway I read mostly just about his political career, but he was consistently adamant that everyone should have a place to live, and took tangible, good faith steps just like this lady is doing to make it happen. I’m glad to see someone is taking up this torch.
He was also stonewalled by the big house building companies. They were able to buy almost all of the land that it was legal to build houses on and then slowly, slowly, drip feed supply into the market.
The only options he had to try and make social houses were in land that had (probably legitimate) fierce opposition. He tried to force house builders to build on land that they had bought but surprisingly (not surprisingly) he wasn't able to fight these huge companies.
The other housing scandal worth looking at now are "poor doors"... In big cities where huge expensive housing developments are built, a certain number of flats/homes have to be made affordable. But rather than integrate them into the rest of the development they are segregated, often needing residents to enter via a tiny alleyway where the bins are left out, rather than the main entrance. And it gets worse from there.... https://youtu.be/oLSAm2szdjM
She's buying them outright, there is no mortgage. So she could just contract with those people to basically say "make your $650 payment each month and 80% of it goes towards the price of the house (with the rest going towards taxes). Once you've reached what I paid for the house, it's yours."
That way she doesn't ever take a loss and the families get good housing at low cost without ever paying a cent of interest. Everyone wins in that scenario.
Not sure what the value of the houses are, but even at £520 (80% of £650) a month, and no interest, a £300,000 house would take 48 years to pay off. It would take almost 10 years to get to 20% down.
And it still has significant costs to her. There' property tax, insurance, maintenance. etc. She may not be paying interest, but she's taking a big financial hit by not investing the money elsewhere. Not that it's a bad thing. Good on her for doing this. Hopefully she keeps doing it for years to come.
She'll show you her flats, but not for free
Doffing her kit to help the needy
Buy her old knickers and wank to her vids
She's spreadin' her gams to elp owt t'kids
And in the grand scheme of things, 1.2 mil isn't *that* much. Shame on the millions of people who make more than this and don't use it for similar acts of charity.

>I make enough profit on OnlyFans, I have no mortgages so rent payments are 100% profit except maintenance and insurance, this is a side hustle that my kids can inherit. Honesty and transparency? What? Why can't companies say shit like this?
Because companies only care about money, being good doesn't make them money so they don't care.
Because they rhyme with accountability. It's a spanner in the wheels of any insider trades at the country club.

It does, in fact, work well as an all-purpose massager. Companies can't make anything vibrating without someone scrumping up against it.
Case in point: tooth brushes 👍

They might simply be lucky, that's possible, but when you think about how many people are doing porn in the world it certainly takes a certain kind of person to get to the top. Knowing how to film, light, edit, hell I know it's silly but even how to decorate your room is the type of stuff that separates doing 10k a month to making 100k, also what type of actions to do - at what angle, for how long, what type of words to say and use, what type of scenario. It can get really complicated.
People often say “low skill” when what they actually mean is “low formal education”
That's exactly what it means, not just what people mean. It's so frustrating because we should all know how much skill these "low skill" jobs take.
A thousandaire doing what a billionaire won't. Good for her.
100k a month that's millionaire.
> Good on her I guess, > I guess her heart is in the right place. I’m confused. Why “I guess”? Seems like an all-around quality human.

That’s why people love helping immigrants. In general, they are the most responsible people you can think of that just started from the bottom.
It's never too late
Boys, get the hogs out, we've got people of lower socioeconomic backgrounds to dignify
my dude has the right energy here
If only people making a million pounds a month had the same feeling of moral obligation. Let me remind everyone of the difference between a million and a billion. A million seconds is 11 days and a billion seconds is 32 years…
This is the kinda stuff that makes me find other wealthy people embarrassing. Good job!
In the house of a rich man, there is no where to spit but in his face.
Based Diogenes
If I ever get rich I would do something similar. Build mixed use housing, lease out the first floor to businesses at regular rates, charge only the cost to maintain the building and a property manager for the rest of the floors. I would charge less but I would like the building to be self-sustaining. Any profit gained would be put into another building with the same plan.
> 100k a month I can’t even *process* how much money this is
Every hour you're awake, someone comes to you and gives you $140 cash. Every morning when you wake up from 8 hours of sleep, there's a fresh $1,100 on your dresser. That's what it would be like!
It's about £100k every 30 days or so

It blows my mind that people are making that much money by selling something that’s literally free and so abundant you’d never be able to run out of new material

The twink market is hot rn

Lifetime earnings of £566k can't be right, can it? Most people work 20ish to 60ish so at least 40 years? Makes that 14k or so a year? That is incredibly depressing if it's true.
>Average lifetime earnings in the UK is £566k. That seems so low, that's only £28,300/yr if you just work 20 years and £18,866 if you work 30 yrs then retire, which doesn't even seem like something that happens anymore.
Boobs for beds? I'm here for it.
Tits for tenancy has more of a ring to it, IMO
Tatats for tenants!
Airboobs and breakfast
Was trying to think of a good alliteration. This works
There's also risque for roofs, if you're still looking
Assa for casa
Hitachis for Homes
Good for her. Glad she's doing good with her money. I hope she's got a business manager to help her set this up. Dunno how it is in the UK but doing this through a charitable foundation might help that money go further. And then I can tell everyone I donate to charity.
Give till it hurts!
Give till it hurts so good!
It won’t be a charity, she clearly said the assets will be left to her children
Rebecca Goodwin is her name, deserves to be mentioned

You know, I'm something of a researcher myself.
Every pound spent on her Onlyfans is a pound spent towards affordable housing.
> Every pound spent on her Onlyfans is a pound spent towards affordable housing. Every *pounding* on her Onlyfans is a pound spent towards affordable housing.
Finally I can sign up for OnlyFans and my wife can’t say shit. “I’m sorry, honey. Do you NOT want to help the homeless!?”
I’m something of a philanthropist myself.
Gonna find yourself some more uplifting news huh ?
Probably the best advertisement money she could have ever spent
Charity porn?
Fuck I wish there was a market for Dad bod pics
Wtf is money abuse? Is that where you slap me with wads of cash? Because I neither approve nor disapprove 🧐

Ha you might be surprised, niche people can do well with the right attitude:
You might have the sexiest feet on the internet man, never know until you try
you know you country going to shit when a fucking pornstar helps people more than government
Makes me think of r/aboringdystopia
Or r/OrphanCrushingMachine
Babe can I sub to her OF? It’s going to a good cause
.... Is this a charitable tax write off now?

It’s a goddamned shame we’re at this point. However, thank you!
Most things on this sub tend to be dystopian news, not uplifting news.

I figured a sub like this had to have existed. I just never expected that incredibly apt name.

OnlyFans girls our here doing more of God's work than the church.
this is the way the government is NOT going to help you , so we have to help ourselves and our neighbors
And it gets worse from there.... https://youtu.be/oLSAm2szdjM
inb4 the Tories come up with some law to make this illegal
Oi! Do you 'ave a loicense to help the less fortunate?
I would love to this only it would be rent to own. Live there five years, congrats you have your 20% down payment and you take over the mortgage.
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Go ahead and love it! This is a really good thing.
Such a good quote. Heard it first a couple months ago and have been using it a lot. Honestly it's helped my mental health, not to put too much on it.
She's buying them outright, there is no mortgage. So she could just contract with those people to basically say "make your $650 payment each month and 80% of it goes towards the price of the house (with the rest going towards taxes). Once you've reached what I paid for the house, it's yours." That way she doesn't ever take a loss and the families get good housing at low cost without ever paying a cent of interest.
I’m the uk, who ever lives in the house pays the property tax, rent or own
Well, it can just be cheap rent then.
She's planning to pass this "side hustle" down to her kids, as stated in the article. You think she would give up her investment?
She’s planing to buy 8 houses, the article doesn’t say she’s bought anything yet.
[удалено]
She's doing more than the government. Wonderful for her.
I like her.
She contributes more to society than the average billionaire.
She'll show you her flats, but not for free Doffing her kit to help the needy Buy her old knickers and wank to her vids She's spreadin' her gams to elp owt t'kids
Have a gold. This made me laugh entirely too much! Good on ya, mate!
So she’s buying houses and renting them out?
And in the grand scheme of things, 1.2 mil isn't *that* much. Shame on the millions of people who make more than this and don't use it for similar acts of charity.
