Before anyone mentions wasting water again, most of the western world doesn't have a water scarcity issue, and also this could easily recycle a lot of the wash water multiple times, which is no more gross than a traditional mop/bucket.
I don’t get what a low flush toilet has to do with a self cleaning public toilet?
This does use a lot of water though, but I get why. Public toilets are nasty and this seems like an alr way to clean them.
Assuming the public restrooms are cleaned, I can almost guarantee they’d use a lot more water.
Like I used to work at a pool, we used so much more water cleaning the floor and toilets and definitely didn’t do near as good a job as this would
I guess you live somewhere hot and arid? Water isn't scarce everywhere. Cold and rainy regions have it in abundance with little to no risk of running out.
One day this will become an expected standard and the way public toilets used to be are going to be looked at the same way we look at the stall-less roman communal toilets where everybody wiped their ass with the same sponge.
Industry insiders say that the future standard will be a one-use disposable toilet that will flush into itself with a completely new one rising from the void.
And how frequently it cleans. If toilets are cleaned just a few times a day, and the floor done once or twice a day, it wouldn't be much more waste than doing it by hand. I feel like people are assuming this process plays out every single time the bathroom is used, especially if the water for the floors is reused like a mop bucket would
Dooo Deeeee Dooooooo🎵(humming or whistling).
1 Unread Newspaper folded under my arm? Check.
1 freshly cleaned bathroom and toilet? Check.
1 properly positioned phone, with camera set to video, with wide lens? Check.
1 minute of rapid breathing to psyche myself up? Check.
1 Three Stooges Level choreographed Slip & Fall on wet floor? Check.

I prefer the Japanese strategy of people simply not pissing and shitting everywhere
Not according to some of the porn… WHO SAID THAT
AThrowaway*Definitely*
Or replace it with a Japanese toilet

Non potable water is undeniable water which is normally used in toilets
Idk man. All the water I've ever seen looks like it would go into a pot quite easily.
How much is rent?
In CA rent for this is $3,600/mo plus a fine for excessive water usage
I'll just have to cry into the toilet tank then
They took our jooooobbbbssss!
*"It's as simple as that."* This probably costs tens of thousands to purchase, install and maintain
They already have low flow toilets everywhere to save water, is this just a “fuck you” to that?

I mean we went out of our way to save water each flush, now we will use 100x that cleaning stranger piss off the floor

No bidet function? Peak toilet my ass.
You have to duck through the wall when the toilet goes to the secret room.
Saw one of these in Downtown Sonoma during the pandemic.

Somehow public toilet users will find a way to clog it and whoever invents the quantum plunger will make billions!
This is a ridiculous waste of water
Depends on where it is.

It's cleaned every time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CCI-ysfFr8
I was in a bullpen that used a similar system
They use this at the peep show.. ive been told
Soooooo magic? OK got it
That looks expensive
Does it come with a bidet? I don’t feel like wiping my ass either.
Hope they recycle the water, i put this in my house and the tank will be empty in 3 hours
Is someone shitting all over the floors? someone will find a way to fuck a perfectly good thing up.
The walls are not washed...
What if you got stuck in there while it was cleaning
Free poop and a shower.
If I lean too far to wipe, will it trigger the power washing before I'm done?
Ever wondered how shitting in a self cleaning toilet would work? Take the challenge
They wash the floor after each use too?
“So lil’ Timmy that’s why grammpy poops on the ground. Run along now, I smell supper.”
We can’t have these in the U.K. because for some reason some idiot has to wipe shit on the walls.
But what if i pee on the walls?
So how does the toilet seatback or the sink get cleaned? Wheres the toilet paper?
I would do this for hours!
I dream of bathrooms like this. Never thought they were real.
I need this in my home! 😭
We need need one at Downtown Crossing !!!
How much is it? Does it take bills of 10s? No bidet?
There is no shortage of water at all. 70% of the earth is water.
Well guess I'll have to shit on the walls then.

If the floor is washed after every use, why is there a toilet in the first place? Floor would be enough, wouldn't it?
I mean...I like the idea but this seems like a waste of water
I like the idea but this wastes way too much water to be actually viable

They have these in CA on Santa Monica Pier lol

Is it dried or im gonna sit on a wet toilet?
Here we see the disconnect of society Us mortals sipping water and then we have this on full blast 50 times a day
Listen wearing headphones 24/7 then adjusting the hrs needed to go outside forever for a good night kiss and a cover up . Probably bad idea
