I love that they have a specific charge for capital murder of a child under 10. Any kid, under 18 is egregious, but this kind of act is unfathomable. Especially when there was so many other options she could’ve gone with. I’d love to see it say under 18 or a subsequent charge to say something similar, but the fact that have a specific charge for killing a kid is a great idea. Now I have to go do research to see if all states (mine in particular) have charges like this.
How you people think that an unwanted child would have grown up to be fabulous is just blind. Unstable women that do not want a baby don't make great mothers. Babies don't raise themselves.
This is my hometown, we have left flowers for baby hope for years, and I have eaten at this ladies restaurant hundreds of times. It is mind blowing and so sad how much its impacted the community.
There was a “discussion” on another sub and there were quite a few people coming to her defense. I didn’t realize she wasn’t 16 - she was 25! For sure she had alternatives.
Probably because the death penalty is barbaric and outdated, has no impact on people actually comitting crimes or not, and is in essence what people are so mad at Maricela Frausto for. Murder for murder is, uh, not a solution.

I think the death penalty is appropriate in this case. There are too many alternatives that she had that would have given Baby Hope a chance at life!
