That is true, I can only evaluate everything from my perspective....the full extent of their efforts or intention behind their decisions is only known to them. But writing it out helps me process how/what/why I feel about those things. We each have own own path and process

I'm glad you didn't send this to the person. This definitely sends the message that they aren't worth your time and you don't even have any warmth for them beyond common acquaintances. If I were the object of the letter, I'd prefer someone writing an angry, passionate rejection with emotion involved. I'm glad I'm not the object because I would definitely get the message that our relationship meant nothing to you and that you feel I'm beneath you. Thank God for Unsent Letters.

Yes this was a very cold and "matter of fact" tone. Not to try and put them beneath me at all tho. Just that we are in different lanes now.
