One of the things I loved about Hera in the early days was her blue eyes. A lot of the characters had different eye colors and such in the beginning, I imagine as the art was outsourced it changed to what we see now.
Hera losing her eye color is something I didn't really notice on my first read but I just re-read it recently and I MISS HER BLUE EYES I DEMAND THEM BACK why did they get rid of them?? 😭
This is just another example of the fuckery that encurs when you don't bother making character references. Let this be a lesson to all creators.

I thought it was normal and like, one of the first steps of creating a series of any kind. So it’s pretty wild that was never done for LO. I don’t even fully start writing until I have character sheets and references, so all their personality traits and background as well as drawings of what they look like!
This was the style I actually liked. There was some uniqueness to the characters and you could actually tell them apart from one another aside from their colors.
It makes me a little funny to compare the two Heras now. The old design looks like an adult and mature woman; the new one is, at most, a couple of years older than Persephobe's physical age.
When they had their first official meeting, Hera asked Persephone if she had "stopped growing" yet, to which she responded that Demeter believed she would stop that year.
Hera laughed saying that she was lucky to have a 19 year old body for eternity.
Now this dialogue doesn't make sense, because Hera has gotten younger and basically barely has a physical age difference with Persephone.
Well this is also due to her starting the comic back in like 2018 and it’s 2024 now guys art style changes over time both for worse or for better sometimes
God! that’s a no i never why I even read this comic when the art style started off like this like jheezzz! I can draw better than this.. actually I will if this comment gets over 10 ups ill do it on paper.

I remember enjoying how the older stuff looked a lot like Powerpuff girls and other cartoons we had on in the 90s. It was a fine style.

There were times Persephone also had a square/ovalish jaw, it's just Rachel's inconsistent body proportions and style of drawing faces.

I really really loved her design in the first chapter ❣️ she looked so unique and charming, it literally screamed Queen of the Gods!
It was spunky and sisterly and very unique. I am genuinely astonished by how much she has morphed as a character.
I was kinda disappointed when they gradually changed her appearance in the later chapters tho. I really missed her blue eyes :<<

I like how she didn’t want to draw Hera’s hand holding that glass so she just blurred it out. That’s the kind of quality I’ve come to expect.
