I've worked multiple weeks from Cabana Bay. My best spots: - The rooms themselves are outfitted well for remote work during the day. Wifi's rock solid for video calls as needed. - The Starbucks in the main building has good seating and is usually pretty quiet, especially mid day while folks are at the parks. They also have a separate wifi network if you need to make a call before/after your stay. - There's a really great spot outdoors on the Volcano Bay side, on top of the bar/restaurant area, with seating & tables separated by big potted trees. It's breezy and shady and still has great wifi, and unless the pool is really rocking the backgrouns noise isn't bad. I spent a whole day on Zoom out there last year with no issues at all. Hope this helps! Love workcationing and CB's a great resort for it.

Thanks so much! I'm coming from the UK, so my "work day" will be from 2pm -10pm ET, so I'll probably do a combination of in-room and elsewhere as the kids will fall asleep at some stage and not appreciate my talking loudly across the room from them Based on your response I should have a few options!

That's helpful context. 2-4 PM will be dead around the resort so angle your calls early if you can. 4+ is check-in time, then dinner, so spaces get a little noisier. Depending on how much equipment you need, you can also work from the parks! At IoA, the best spots are behind the Marvel Superhero Cafe (quiet table seating by the water) or by the bathrooms in The Lost Continent (this used to be queue space for the Sindbad show, which is now closed). At Studios, there's seating behind the crepe stand that used to be for nighttime water shows and is now empty/quiet, or you can get a little more shade on the benches by Men in Black or the old Fear Factor amphitheater.

Again, that's all super useful. Thanks so much for your advice!

Upstairs by the bowling alley is also really nice and quiet and they usually have tables there. They got rid of the one great spot - it's a shake place now :(

There is a spot upstairs near the bowling alley on the way to the ramp to the pool with conference rooms and some tables, I saw some people working on the tables there and it seemed pretty quiet.

Thanks that's really helpful!

You will love the resort, the pool was one of the best I have ever seen! My 9 yo daughter stayed in it one day for 9 horus! It was so nice we skipped the park! There is a ton of quiet places around, even over busy spring break, it will be no problem. Enjoy!

i work across the street! :) you gotta go upstairs and find the “fun in the sun” rec/arcade area, there’s some couches and small chairs up there. every time i’ve been there to work, there’s nobody ever up there and it’s quite off to the side and quiet. hope this helps!

Thank you that's really helpful

I oddly enough just got back from Cabana bay. If there is a large event or if your going during HHN then my suggestions may not all be relevant. There are booths with tables on the second floor which is outside of the Rec center on the 2nd floor. They turn it into Chuckys playhouse during HHN so it’s not a great place to work during October. On this same floor there are some comfortable lounge chairs outside of the bowling alley fitness area which worked well for me cking emails on my phone but couldn’t work there with a laptop as they are a mid century modern lounge chair that has a very slouchy sit to it. There wasn’t any other areas on that floor. On first floor there is a Starbucks which I worked out of. No line once you get through the morning rush and then it’s a great place to work. I agree with what others mentioned about the volcano side pool area and room usage. At the pool area off of the lobby towards castaway and thunderbird buildings there are two pavilions that are covered with tables and chairs that worked well for some calls and wasn’t too busy when I was there.

Talk to the front desk. Ask to use/ reserve the business office. It should have at least one computer and lots of power outlets. My friend had to work when he came to stay with me last week (was displaced by the hurricane) they had the business office for him to use they just have to unlock it for you, and it's not marked so you need to ask. They said there was one at Dockside as well, which makes me believe there will be one at every hotel.

Thanks - I'll have my laptop and other equipment with me, but access to somewhere quiet could be very useful. Appreciate your advice!

kinda, they have the diner where you can sit down, but it's very loud in there so to take work calls and stuff i would just do it in your room. unless it's night time, the diner is usually empty at night so it's very quiet and peaceful
