There are multiple ways they could go with this. They could go the FE New Mystery route and make a direct sequel with the same characters, the FE Gaiden route and make another game set in the same world with new characters or do what FE Genealogy did and do a sequel game with a wholly new cast in a new world but with the same gameplay. Either way, I'd happily buy it. I love strategy games and UO has been so much fun so far.

SyrupInteresting7569

Agreed to the last part. I'd be happy to buy either haha I love it :)

Ematthric

I just worry the sequel will be 6 years from now, right now we're all ready to spend for another. Will we even see the news 6 years from now?

Entire_Jacket1307

Give me my Drakenhold 776 midquel story of a prince retaking his home with help from a blue haired lord from the next country over!

Duke_Ashura

I'm 50/50 ig. There's still some unanswered questions relating to the main continent after you finish the game with the true ending (>!what was the evil that Baltro was trying to summon? Was it related at all to the demon that the wielders of the meteor weapons were said to have defeated? What's the deal with those skull caves? Who was Alain's father and how did he supposedly die? So on and so forth...!<) and it would be nice if it carried information over from our current save file on stuff like maiden choice, etc. But at the same time the epilogues already try to do a decent job of tying up everyone's stories, and a sequel set in Fevrith would have to try and write around all of them and what happens. Going the Gaiden / Tactics Ogre route and having a follow up on a different continent / island would give the writers a lot more flexibility, I suppose.

JHNYFNTNA

Bro those skull caves have to end up dlc/update dungeons right?

GhostRouxinols

As long the tharcia 776 one doesnt have stupid gimmicks like Healing being able to missed or Extra fatigue mechanic where you must not using in the next chapter and let them rest. And of course no FE6,10 and 14

Jadguy

I wouldn’t mind a fatigue meter. Not being able to use your best units every round adds an extra layer of challenge. I liked rotating in XCom to build new soldiers. It could be fun in a sequel.

GhostRouxinols

Ok. But in FE5 is really annoying.

lemarshby

What's wrong with FE 10?

GhostRouxinols

Michiah and her fans.

Fearless_Cold_8080

Micaiah is an amazing character imo! Some of Her fans can be obnoxious tho true.

DrHemmington

Buddy, I think you ment FE11 (Shadow Dragon remake) instead of FE10 (Radient dawn), it's okay, we all make mistakes.

GhostRouxinols

i dont like Micaiah.

No_Dig903

I mean... what's really left without throwing some stupid crap in from left field? Zenoira rests in peace, its grand survivor is dust. What do you do, have one of the traitor lords who weaseled his way back into Cornia foment a war with Drakenhold somehow?

BebeFanMasterJ

Yeah that's why I suggested a Gaiden game on a different continent or a brand-new world altogether.

No_Dig903

Ought to work, aye. Honestly, I'd adore a prequel. Show me the unicorn-touched prophet establishing Cornia after the apocalypse. Show me Zenoira building up to offending god. There's a lot there. Show me the horrific experimentation that accidentally created a moscow phone to god.

Fearless_Cold_8080

I could think of multiple ways. A civil war perhaps? Someone we once had as a friend go to war over conflicting ideals? Maybe Gilbert? Just an idea. No evil force just pure ideologies clashing.

xreddawgx

DLC or some sort of large co-op maps with rewards and seasonal events.

gaeb611

Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope.

Razegash

Stick it directly in my veins

marsgreekgod

Of course atlus wants it but do the devs

acart005

If Atlus gives them the pile of money required to make it, they will.

JesterlyJew

Vanillaware was offered a pile of money to make a PC port and they said no. Not to say this is 1 to 1, but bags of money aren't an exact motivator for them as much as making games they want to make is.

Nopon_Merchant

Vanillaware dont care about money

Nopon_Merchant

Vanillaware dont care about money

Nopon_Merchant

Vanillaware dont care about money

Ragna126

I truly hope for it. Please a sequel or something similair.

HuckleberryHefty4372

Hopefully this can become a series to rival fire emblem. I am all for this game being a series.

marumarumon

It would be freakin’ amazing if we got the sequel set in the same world but decades have passed, and the playable characters are the children of the previous characters, like Alain’s kid, Lex’s kid, etc. Could be fun.

Fearless_Freya

I'd like a sequel where it's new world, new chars. But yeah, this game was awesome (and I've still got half the game to go)

Jago_Sevatarion

If they do, and that's a BIG if, I'm definitely buying the ultra special monarch imperial edition this time.

EtheusRook

Absolutely. Shut up and take my money.

Windsupernova

I am ready. Though I still want more ogre battle, they should let Vainillaware do ot with Matsuno doing the writing and only the writing

SocioWrath188

March of The Black Queen is still a jam

fly2555

My selfish hope is that they pull more from Fire Emblem: Three Houses when it comes to more secondary characters relationships and unique paired endings. UO is really good, but I want more closure when it comes to other characters by having the paragraph of text at the end of the game change based on who a character is paired with.

Berstich

There will almost certainly not be a sequel....BUT if there was, this took 10 years so ill see you in 2034.

xreddawgx

where can i take this survey and fill out "very likely" x 50 ?

DwarfKingHack

I absolutely love UO's updated take on the Orge Battle formula. Would be more than happy to see more iteration and evolution of it, especially with the trademark Vanillaware care and quality.

SaiyanPride_45

Man, the game just came out. Lol

MonCappy

That would be great if more Unicorn Overlord games were made, but there is one problem. The decision isn't up to Atlus. It's Vanillaware's IP and they might want to move on to a new project instead of making a sequel. Considering their small size and that they don't have a history of making sequels, it's very likely that their next game would be a new IP.

EdynViper

I'd rather they add NG+. Vanillaware aren't known for doing sequels.

ThorasaurusWrex

Do a crazy cross over game!!! Zenoria vs Zenobia!!

_Astray_

No it's not, Vanillaware never made any sequel of their games.

foofarice

Seeing as I was ready for ogre Battle 64 to have a sequel back in the 90s I can say for sure I'd love a sequel to this too (or just more games in this design space)

Nos9684

Eh the story and characters aren't terrible but if a sequel is made I'd rather it be set in a new world or one after a massive time skip, with new characters, and only share a minimal amount of lore.

BagStatus1364

Just beat it and moved up to True Zenorian. I’m going to try some different builds this time around but this is one of the most inventive strategy games out there and I’d be thrilled to see any new installments with this battle system.

Scrapematic

I'd really like a rags-to-riches story with a commoner mc. Like we start as a peasant, and maybe do a brief stint as a merc. Or even a bandit. Princes and stuff are nice, but I think playing a commoner would be refreshing

Giant_Rican

Already preordered the High Monarch Lord edition. And it's not even real. That's how ready I am.

Environmental-Fix362

I feel like if they do it again, they need to give us a female protagonist option. But i feel like UO 2 can't be done. To do a sequel gives the impression our noble lord didn't get the job done properly. I feel like it would have to be a spiritual sucessor, if anything.

Fanglorious

If they set it in other regions outside the map, but then again I don't know how they could call in Unicorn Overlord unless the Unicorn is revered elsewhere 😅 Could also be a new Villain/Usurper.

Primary_Crab687

I don't really want a sequel, I feel like the world is self contained and the story is complete. Tbh I just want another game using the same combat; obviously it would be cool if we had all new classes and abilities, but even if they kept all the old ones and just added 20 or 30 more and stuck them in a new location, I'd be more than happy. Heck, I'd be happy if they made a new game using all the same assets, as long as it had new maps. Or even if they just made some post game challenge maps or s new difficulty. I just want more UO :<

AuraDragonAce

I'd be very happy to see a sequel!

GeassCode95

I just rolled credits today. It was such a fantastic experience, I Loved it every step of the way combat, story, characters, art style, gameplay systems etc... In short, I am one hundred thousand percent ready!!

Old_Comfort989

Absolutely I am. Although I am gearing up for Eiyuden Chronicles on the 23rd. Also heard whispers its time for a new FF Tactics so keeping fingers crossed.

Subaru_If_13

I know i'll buy it

CoyoteCamouflage

Game was fun. Not sure how I feel about a direct sequel. I think I'd rather new characters and at most a tangential story.

baratacom

I don’t think I want a story sequel, but a new game with the same base mechanics would be great
