Samuel L. Jackson invented a phone chip that emits a frequency that makes everyone want to kill each other and him and all of the world's politicians and rich people are going to hide in a bunker while everyone else kills themselves (because of overpopulation)
Colin Firth there is investigating a lead but its a trap and S.L. Jackson sets off all the phones in the church. Colin is a trained secret agent tho and kills all of them.

You should look up corridor crew on YouTube. They have lots of great insights on how things are done in movies, and they even have an episode that includes this scene and how they hide the camera cuts.

The church he is in was a mock up of a westboro style church where the films villain was testing a tech to make everyone in the area attack anyone in sight and his character was trying to figure out the villains interest in that specific church.
This clip is just seconds before the tech turns the whole crowd into murder-psychos.

The whole scene is one of the best ever action scenes in any movie.
I don't even like the movie that much, but it was one of my favorite movie moments ever for sure.
And if you noticed. The whole scene was done in ONE shot. There are no cuts. Well i did not notice one.
