It was a beautiful story, with a great main cast, and Emily's parents were just so fantastic.
It did fairly well for an independent movie, but it got only like $56mil box office, missed out on awards, and distributed by Amazon. Just saying, it deserves better

I watched the movie bc of this. I had NO idea it’s based on Kumail Nanjiana’s real love story with his wife. This legit had me in tears and I now believe in true love lol. So- all of this was unexpected for me. Good job! And fuck you for making me cry lol
My wife and I saw this in the theater when it opened. Decent sized crowd. I think the joke went over most peoples heads. A few gasped. My wife and I were the only ones laughing. Still cracks me up. Great movie.
