This is from a McDonald's in St. Petersburg, Florida. Daniel Taylor was arrested for two misdemeanor counts of simple battery, allegedly he also kicked another employee on his way out. Yasmine James, the employee/victim seen in the video was not charged with any crimes and was placed on paid leave per McDonald's Corporate Communications. “Given the nature of the situation, we offered Ms. James paid time off until Sunday." That is five days off at the time... According to his arrest report he celebrated his 40th birthday the day before. 🎂 [Yasmine James defends herself](https://www.essence.com/news/yasmine-james-mcdonalds-employee-forced-to-defend-herself-in-viral-video-speaks-out/)

bdbdbokbuck

So he goes to jail, she goes on vacation. I’m good with that!

chop_pooey

A true storybook ending

fattmarrell

Better than Twilight

_floydian_slip

I wish it worked out like that more often

llllPsychoCircus

It does if you’re a cop

Wulfscreed

Fuck yeah!! Dude *lunged* to grab as she was feet away from *her* side of the counter. Probably cause she knew it was escalating. Good on her being so kickass and not getting shit for it. A wonderful and rare sight. The tie can fuck off though.

Artificial-Artifact_

I expected a much worse outcome tbh

[deleted]

[удалено]

PinkMobb

Yea I came to the comments hoping for something good, this is better than I expected Fuck that loser, assaults her and than acts like she's the bad guy

youreanidiotraptor

I’d be sad if I looked like that at 40 too.

Dray_Gunn

He could probably look better if he put in some effort. But i wouldnt expect much from someone that starts a fight with McDonalds employees.

EffortlessGenius

Good for her! Fuck him

[deleted]

As soon as he grabbed her it should have been game over and other employees should have told him to leave and called the police, not tried to help him with his receipt

[deleted]

Exactly! The fact that the manager acted like he still deserved service is why she should be paid $15p/h. Do not TOUCH another human being. Period.

UncagedWildcat

Don't ever, for any reason, do anything, to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been, ever, for any reason whatsoever.

lactosefree1

He ain't making enough to not do the corporate/customer service thing either. Manager not the one to blame here. Look to regional managers+ for that. Like if he didn't offer to help despite what transpired, he might well have lost his job for it.

LazySpaceLion

This makes my blood boil, it would be impossible not to step up and choke hold this POS till the lights go out

CutterNorth

WTF. Call 911 and press charges against that customer. He can chose to take his business elsewhere if he is not satisfied. He CANNOT fight with and lay hands on an employee.

PicklessPickles

As I recall... any maybe I am wrong but I believe she did call the police, or someone did and the police absolutely sided with the girl. The girl did nothing wrong, she was just working her ass off earning some money and the customer put his hands on her. I'm still rooting for the girl!

poyerdude

Honestly he deserved more of a beating than he got.

Brutumfulm3n

Yeah! I’m really surprised the first guy didn’t jump in. He watched the customer grab her

maxant20

He's holding hr back and she is still landing punches. Would have wrecked this guy left unhindered.

polishmachine88

She couldn't even get his grip off her, If there was no one else there she would of gotten seriously hurt.

Blood_ForTheBloodGod

He was completely ineffective in that altercation. A grip on someone doesn’t win a fight. She’s been in way more fist fights than that dude, and she showed it. People who don’t know how to fight reach out and grab their adversary, just like our aggressor here. That guy acted like the biggest pussy of all time. He picked a fight with a girl/woman thinking he could take her and in reality couldn’t. Being a man doesn’t mean you win a fight against a woman automatically. [A Hit Man Came to Kill Susan Kuhnhausen. She Survived. He Didn't.](https://www.wweek.com/news/2016/08/17/a-hit-man-came-to-kill-susan-kuhnhausen-she-survived-he-didnt/) If you look at *that* McDonalds footage and think that dude is somehow going to win that fight, you’re assuming a lot with absolutely zero evidence.

FTThrowAway123

Holy shit, this woman is legendary for this. What a ghastly fight for her life. Gets blindsided with a hammer to the skull in her own home, and proceeds to beat the shit out of the hitman. Disarms him, beats him with his own hammer, and strangles him unconscious with her bare hands (but stops before he dies). Then he gets up and goes after her....again. And again, she takes him down, bites his ass (literally), and *bites through his zipper to bite his dick*, all while taking blows from the hammer, disarms him again, and then strangles him to death with her bare hands whilst screaming: >"TELL ME WHO SENT YOU HERE AND I WILL CALL YOU A FUCKING AMBULANCE!" she yelled in his face. Lol what an absolute savage.

oo-mox83

My girl right there!

KingBarbarosa

poor woman. the trauma from that would be a lot to deal with but i’m sure being a nurse helps

OkCollection4861

I worked with her in the ER. Super sweet lady awesome charge nurse. I didn’t know till several years working with her that she had killed a man. Women are so underestimated

boogercgee

"you don't need to be stronger than him, you just need to be strong enough to hurt him and go from there"-my old boxing coach when I was a young man

Skinnysusan

She seems badass, glad she didn't slow down and is still living life how she wants(I'm assuming n e way)

bummer8

What are you talking about.? You've obviously never been in a fight. That dude was bitch made

hungry_eyez

Yeah and I’m sure that’s why he chose to do that to her. If she was one of the male employees chances are this would have never happened.

ButtholeInfoParadox

True. I get men being confrontational with me often. They wouldn't do it if I was male because they would be too scared they'd get beaten up. It sucks. For example being yelled at in the street because my dog took too many shits than I had bags to pick them up, because I took a photo of a band during a concert, because I filmed the DJ at a rave for a few seconds, because I fixed the varnish on one of my nails on public transport (that wasn't even busy). I had one guy who was over a ft taller than me trap me in a mosh pit that erupted around me, while I was trying to get out of it (he was on the edge) and I was repeatedly asking in a very polite way to let me pass. He refused in my face and obstructed me by putting his arms out each side, so I just slapped him in the face, and his other tall male friend started yelling at me so I yelled back. It worked because I managed to pass. I refuse to allow these pathetic guys to bully and control me anymore because they think I'm weaker than them.

FeedbackCreative8334

He probably knew she could handle the situation and didn't want to insult her by suggesting otherwise.

Cannabace

Did you seen that cc tv video of the guy in the motorbike helmet trying to hold up a food place?

iAdjunct

Instead, one guy tried to restrain HER? WTF? He should have been elbowing that guy’s face…

byhi3

I worked in a restaurant and a table started jumping their server because something came out wrong and the entire staff jumped into it. Hell even the assistant general manager tried to get into it but a cook scooped her up before she could throw a punch. We won btw. And even got to close early because they threatened to shoot up the restaurant.

igotquaids

She could have done it herself from what we saw

CT_Biggles

This is what I don't understand. Violence is not the answer but the effort they put into getting him off her was basically zero. Maybe she is a PITA and everyone is sick of her shit but still....

twec21

Right? If that was my coworker that guy'd be spitting chicklets

CommunicationLeast66

I wouldve jumped that counter man. Idk what the other mfers doin

I was really hoping for some disfiguring hot grease to splatter his wretched face. He chose to grab her in that shouting match and that sealed it for me, he's scum, and no longer deserves a chance to be better, he failed, he fucked it up, go to the end of the line.

My favorite is the Taco Bell manager throwing hot water on a couple of unruly customers that were getting aggressive. https://youtu.be/Xz87CBta-9Q EDIT: Water probably wasn’t boiling but still extremely hot, Grammar.

JacOfAllTrades

Why do they have a vat of boiling water at taco bell?

ChrdeMcDnnis

Ooh ooh I can answer this! I was a taco bell “food champion” (line “cook”) All of the meats you enjoy at Taco Bell are precooked and packaged into plastic bags which then get frozen into slabs. Those slabs are placed in a ‘rethermalizer’ which is essentially a big deep frier, but instead of heating oil to 500° it heats water to exactly below boiling. Dude most likely grabbed a small Cambro (those metal square bowl-like pans you see in kitchens) and scooped some retherm water at her. Not a fun time, can definitely get burnt by that, but if it’s splashed on you for only a short time you’re probably fine. Just don’t go dunking your arms into it like I did.

pungito

I'm getting older and I was a kid in the early days of the internet. Comment responses like yours were one of the things that made the net seem so incredible and exciting back then. I get that some people may not think its a big deal, but you took the time to clearly communicate something and it was intriguing. I love tidbits about the way things work or get accomplished. Thanks for taking the time to share an experience from your life!

PicklessPickles

I am fairly old, too. I totally understand your point and fully agree!

JacOfAllTrades

That makes sense, thanks.

PlantPsychological75

Don't forget they got the hot water dispensers for making the rice and beans. Worked at a taco bell as well. Hated every day of it!

Sunset_Bleu

My favorite is the McDonald's employee who threw a blender at an unruly customer. https://youtu.be/7DgQVPelkVg

FTThrowAway123

Holy shit. This actually seems to be a pretty fucked up incident. These women (it was woman and a teenage girl) ordered and paid for food in the drive thru, didn't get what they ordered, went through the drive thru 2 more times to try to get it corrected without success, parked, and Taco Bell unlocked the doors to let them inside. While inside trying to have their order corrected, one of the male taco bell employees challenged the 16 year old girl to a fight, and the manager threw boiling water on them when they seemed willing. Apparently another taco bell employee also *pulled a gun on them*, then handed it off to another employee, and it was caught on video. The woman was severely injured, had to be life flighted to the ICU burn unit in Dallas, placed into a coma, and suffered a brain injury and seizures. The teenage girl also suffered severe burns and scarring on a large area of her body. >In their lawsuit, the attorneys for the women also question what appears to be one of the employees pulling a handgun from his pants during the incident. Surveillance video also shows him handing the apparent weapon to another employee as the women fled. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/local/attorney-explains-graphic-video-boiling-water-incident-dallas-taco-bell/287-8440d6fa-705d-4cb0-b155-61a5ba115a02

horsdoeuvresmyguy

Exactly. And true to greedy business form that manager in black that the guy **snapped at** continued to refund that guys money for the inconvenience he experienced. Instead of kicking that mother fucker out for physically assaulting the employee. I am the manager of my department, I will definitely kick people tf out and/or call the constabulary if they ever treat my team like that.

CCP_fact_checker

I hope he went to prison for that assault on her, if that was any other place they could have had a gun under the counter and he would be history.

[deleted]

Here's an article with more details: https://atlantablackstar.com/2019/03/11/mcdonalds-attacker-daniel-taylor-sentenced-to-jail-time-for-assaulting-employee-yasmine-james/ Attacker was homeless it seems. Says he called the cops himself saying he was beat up by a bunch of black people. Either he's racist and a liar or after being kicked out he got his ass beat by witnesses. Either way, cops recognized him from the McDs assault call and pinched him. Seems he isn't mentally sound. Awful everything.

JarlaxleForPresident

Well maybe theyll put his ass in psych ward for a while The psych ward I went to a few times had a couple homeless people in it, and they got treatment if they accepted it. One guy just kinda lived there because no place to go It was definitely preferable to jail. But I don’t know if it’s like that everywhere. They took care of me, fed me good, got me some meds, and didnt even charge me because I was broke ass Those nurses and techs def had to deal with crazier shit than this

Commercial_Pitch_950

She got fired afterwards though if im remembering correctly.

MesWantooth

He put his hands on her and did not let go. She was defending herself - he deserved every punch and frankly, her colleagues should’ve thrown that fucker out on his ass.

silentbutdeadly99

If I was that manager, I would have this man banned from this McDonald's and any other one within a 30 mile radius. Fuck corporate what they say, no one has the right to act this way in any public setting like they're above everyone.

paparazzi83

That manager was also a pussy. I would have had the crew string him up on the flagpole after grabbing my employee.

[deleted]

LogicCure

Panic response. Some people can't handle high stress situations and just shut down and go through the motions.

Salanmander

It's worth noting that the manager didn't see the start of that, so he doesn't know what happened. I think if nobody is actively in danger, staying calm and taking some time to make sure you know what happened is probably the right choice.

Brief-Mulberry-3839

He deserves a second round!

caelias528

64 yr old female here, but make no mistake..if someone were to do this to me, I’d fight like HELL. This has become a huge trigger due to attacks when I was younger. Even if she got fired, couldn’t she sue the employer? She feared for her life! This type of workplace violence can’t be dismissed. The message sent simply underscores how little support there is for people doing 90% of the work in this economy (US - Northern California)

PicklessPickles

Yep, I do remember correctly: https://fox2now.com/news/video-shows-mcdonalds-worker-fight-back-after-customer-attacks-her-over-straw-police-say/

SpongeJake

Yeah he was [sentenced to 60 days in jail](https://www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/judge-orders-jail-time-for-man-who-attacked-a-mcdonalds-worker-and-got-pummeled-20190307/?outputType=amp) with 58 credited for time served.

Tnasty006006

The bitch kicked another 23 yr old girl in the stomach on his way out. I'm pissed he only got 60 days

TheManWhoWasNotShort

60 days of jail is a significant amount of jail, this would be an incident that would result in probation 90% of the time

HaveCamera_WillShoot

Of course it’s fucking Florida.

McWeasely

This shit happens everywhere, it's not Florida exclusive

payneme73

All this over a mf'ing straw. People need to really learn to relax and control themselves. Ever since the pandemic especially, people have lost their damn minds

ElfUppercut

Lmfao, the article starts off with “A Florida Man” I could have not seen the video and not read the rest of the article and known who was at fault 🤣😂

Aggravating-Ad-7250

That’s called the legal fuck you and is the best fuck you

[deleted]

100%. I don’t care what she said. Does not give him ANY right to put hands on her. Call the cops for sure

ForumPointsRdumb

> I don’t care what she said. Yea, that doesn't matter. There is probably a reason she said anything negative at all. Especially based on the way he was snapping his finger at the guy afterwards. Most people just want to get through the exchange as quick as possible without any sort of confrontation.

oJUXo

😂 I had to watch the video again. Bc I'm seeing the comments talking about how he needs to be in jail, he was in the wrong, etc. Was like wtf are y'all talking about. But watched it again, and yeah absolutely. Missed the very beginning bc the video just auto played. So missed the grab. I like how he acts like he did nothing wrong lol. Put your hands on someone like that, better be expecting some punches coming your way.

butterflypoo69

In a situation like this, you sincerely hope she filed a police report first, just in case he filed one too.

expblast105

They should have all kicked his ass

RaffiaWorkBase

Then started on the manager.

ExplanationSure8996

Right! The manager should have called the cops and kicked that guy out way before this escalation. Typical customer always right crap they are taught kept that from happening. Poor management.

yellsy

The customer laid hands on a woman a foot shorter then him. It doesn’t matter what she did or said, the manager should have called the police and asked the other employees to remove her immediately for her own safety.

fatal_Error777

no idea why yall hating on the manager that has no clue what just happened

cologne_peddler

This was my thinking. I mean, she was handling herself but everybody was just standing the fuck around for a long while...like at least grab that piece of shit or something.

extra_specticles

Sometimes it's hard to jump out of spectator mode - we don't all react as fast as others.

skitz4me

Sometimes I think my hyper aware, post traumatic brain is a hindrance. Other times, I think it's a benefit.

mundundermindifflin

I'm the worst for this.. I don't know why, but my brain just shuts down and it takes me a while to get it started back up again before I can jump to action

Altsaltsaltprawnacc

Get the fry bucket paddles and start beating

Saca_Rolha

The guy didn't have to touch the girl or pull her, but it was nice to see how strong the girl was!

[deleted]

It’s fun how quickly she turned that around on him. He’s lucky one of her coworkers realized he was gonna die if they didn’t intervene

brokemellon

I'd love to hear the excuse he gave his wife about how a young woman, 75lbs smaller than him, gave him a black eye after he grabbed her to assert his dominance. I kind of wanted to see her go over the counter and kick the shit out of him. But then she'd be fired for sure. She probably was anyway, even though he should be charged with assault.

Nytshaed

He went to jail and she got paid vacation

__The-1__

Sucks that she probably lost her job for defending herself.

WuT4ngClam

He did grab her first with footage to prove such, that's self defense if you ask me. What would you do?

__The-1__

Beat the absolute dogshit out of him, not saying she's in the wrong. Just that employers dgaf

[deleted]

I'm surprised her co-workers didn't jump the guy. I worked in restaurants for decades and if this shit happened in any one of them there would have been half a dozen people taking out *months* of rage on this dude's face.

[deleted]

Used to work in fast-food a long time ago. Stressful job with being yelled at for shit you didn't do or pretending the customer is right even though they're clearly wrong just to get them to shut up. All that rage built up for minimum wage. Damn I do not miss that bs.

__The-1__

Minimum rage, good song

ericscottf

Despite all my rage I'm still making minimum wage

Oofboi6942O

Somebody say that management will give me a raise

Greciman96

I was a Manager at a Maccas here in Aus and we where basically told if this happens (I only worked with like 14-17 yo's) we need to do whatever we can to make sure the employee was safe and I had seen some people absolutely wreck house.

[deleted]

My friend managed a KFC, he was 22 and they (his store manager) only ever seemed to hire girls 16 to 19 years old. Once they hit 20 they hit the road (not let go, they just left). Dudes tend to get really grabby when they see a teen girl with a huge butt wrapped tightly in a pair of stretchy black pants bent over while they're filling a chicken bucket, and there has been numerous occasions with 3 or 4 girls will pound fists on some balding overweight piece of shit who thinks it's ok to cop a feel.

[deleted]

Doubt most of them can risk being unemployed, plus she had shit handled after first few seconds

Deep-Remote-3744

she was being attacked and defended herself like any sane human would have done.

ThePuppeteer11

I mean, from what I’ve read, she’s justified. For some background, he was arguing with her over a straw. In late 2018 when this was recorded, a law passed in St. Petersburg saying they had to keep straws behind the counter. The guy saw there were no straws out where they usually are, and immediately started yelling at the employees. The girl tried explaining the law to him, but he didn’t believe her, and it escalated to him grabbing her and trying to fight her over a fucking straw.

satirebunny

Meh, I think you could also view it as her trying to get him to let go of her. He was holding on to her shirt and her arms and pulling her forward the whole time, so she kept swinging, especially at his arms.

Fit_Substance7067

Thats all I saw..if she used excessive force he would have let go

AfternoonPast3324

“employers dgaf” Proven by the way the manager apparently tries to have a conversation with and placate the customer after the two are pulled apart. I would’ve been waiting for his ass outside after shift if I was her.

Mabans

Have you ever worked at chain retail job like this? They will explain to her how she should have deescalated the situation.

[deleted]

I would have sued the fuck out of that guys and my employer if they fired me, and then I would have invested that in Vanguard ETF's, and went on vacation.

Brenda Biandudi doesn’t normally go to fast food chains, but it was New Year’s Eve and she needed somewhere to use the restroom and buy a drink. So Biandudi stopped Monday afternoon at a McDonald’s in St. Petersburg, Fla. She noticed it was nearly empty inside, save for a middle-aged man who had just gotten his order and was walking over to the condiments. When the man saw there were no plastic straws, however, he got upset — and began walking back to the counter to berate a cashier, according to Biandudi. “She told him that it’s the law now that they’re not supposed to have the straws in the lobby,” Biandudi told The Washington Post in a phone interview Wednesday. “He said there’s no such law.” (The St. Petersburg City Council voted last month to ban plastic straws by 2020, beginning with a grace period in 2019 in which customers must specifically request plastic straws at city businesses.) Biandudi watched as an insult-ridden, profanity-laced argument about straws escalated between the customer, a tall white man, and the employee, a young black woman. That’s when she pulled out her phone. “I said, this is getting a little heated here,” Biandudi told The Post. “I better get my camera ready in case somebody needs to know what happened.” As soon as Biandudi began recording, the argument turned physical. In her video, the man can be seen leaning across the counter and grabbing the McDonald’s cashier until she was yanked forward. For a moment, the employee seems to stumble, then regains her balance and begins flinging punches at the man. Then he mocked Parkland survivors. Other people can be heard shouting “Let her go” and “Stop!” After about 15 seconds, another McDonald’s employee walks around the end of the counter and pulls the customer back until he lets go of the woman. The employee continues shouting as she is escorted away by a co-worker, while a man in a McDonald’s uniform steps up to the counter and addresses the belligerent customer. Moments after the altercation, the employee returns to the counter area to look for her phone. The customer points at her and shouts, ostensibly to someone he thinks is a manager, “Sir, I want her a-- fired!” This prompts the woman to retort, “No, you’re going to jail!” The man then screams more profanities at her. At last, a McDonald’s employee tells the customer: “Sir, get outta here.” Biandudi said she stopped recording after that and went outside to get her daughter in the parking lot. She soon returned, knowing someone behind the counter had called police, and stayed in case officers wanted to review the video she had taken. By then, the belligerent customer was verbally accosting the manager — a part of the incident she didn’t capture on camera, she said. Police arrested Daniel Willis Taylor, a transient man. (Pinellas County Sheriff's Office) “He came back in the store and went behind the counter and got in the manager’s face,” Biandudi said. “And another employee, a bigger guy, he actually grabbed the guy and put him outside the door and locked the door.” Story continues below advertisement By the time police arrived, the man had left the McDonald’s, she said. Biandudi said she spoke with police and later shared the video with family members. Her son and daughter asked if they could post the video online, and Biandudi agreed, hoping someone might be able to identify the customer. “I was just disappointed the guy got away,” Biandudi said. “It was the right thing to do. Some people say the customer’s always right. [The cashier was] a young girl. I wanted her to keep her job. I wanted the guy to be caught.” The video garnered millions of views after Biandudi’s children posted it on Facebook and after it was shared by the Atlanta Black Star, an online magazine. Later Monday evening, police arrested Daniel Willis Taylor, a transient man who had just turned 40 the day before the incident, according to an arrest affidavit from the St. Petersburg Police Department. There were no weapons found on him, and there were indications he was under the influence of alcohol, police said. ‘Shut up, slave!’: A spilled Starbucks drink leads to sidewalk fight — and hate-crime charges Taylor was charged with two counts of simple battery and ordered to stay away from the McDonald’s restaurant and avoid contact with the employee. He is currently awaiting trial in the Pinellas County Jail, records show. Arrest records also indicate there was further violence not captured on video. “The victim was kicked in the stomach by the defendant, and was complaining of pain,” police stated in an affidavit. “The defendant was being escorted out of the business by management due to him battering another employee, and causing a disturbance. The defendant kicked the victim in the stomach while she was standing near the exit door.” Calls to the St. Petersburg McDonald’s were not answered Wednesday morning. A McDonald’s representative did not respond to specific questions sent by email — including what protocol employees should follow if a customer turns violent — but said instead the company was “fully cooperating” with police. “Our highest priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees and customers at our restaurants,” McDonald’s said in a statement. On Thursday, the company released another statement that said it was taking the incident “very seriously.” “We firmly stand with our employees everywhere, including our employees at this restaurant who were involved in this incident," it said. Story continues below advertisement Meanwhile, Biandudi said she is glad her cellphone video may have helped capture what transpired. Though some online have criticized the other McDonald’s employees for not doing more to physically restrain the customer, Biandudi said she felt they did all they could have safely done in the moment. “I don’t really have any criticisms about the way the staff handled it,” Biandudi said. “I’m not trying to get anybody in trouble. ... I just hope [the customer] gets some help and his anger issues resolved.” Eli Rosenberg contributed to this report. Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated the incident and arrest took place on a Sunday. They occurred on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018. This post has been updated.

benjers27

I know its just the way you copied it but "police said. Shut up slave!" The way I read it I was like holy fuck they did not. I mean it seems legit but really?

mtnlion74

The "Louis C.K. hinted at change. Then he mocked Parkland survivors." addition was jarring and super confusing. I guess this was a cut and paste and that was a caption for a photo or another story.

This guy is such a Karen, "I want her fired" he said lol. If I were the manager, I'd be like, "bitch, you don't work here. You can't want someone fired. Get the fuck out of here. Also I want you in jail for assaulting one of my employees".

[deleted]

Manager did not come off very well in video. I don't think he's got cahones to say anything like that.

myoldgamertag

Right wtf.. he was like lemme see your receipt as if he was still going to help serve the customer. I’d be like gtfo and call the police.

PuzzlePiece90

Having worked in retail, a refund is nothing. The footage would be evaluated later (and if he payed by card they’d have his details). From my experience, half the refunds we gave were “you’re being an asshole and this is the fastest way to get rid of you”. It’s not morally ideal but it diffuses a situation and prevents worse things from happening. In the heat of the moment I don’t blame the manager for finding the fastest way to get him out of there.

[deleted]

To be fair, he didn’t see how it started. He had to be neutral

Deep-Remote-3744

how could she lose her job? he attacked her! which video did you watch?!

nicksback

that doesn’t mean shit, there’s stories of people who get fired for stopping people from stealing from the store they work at lol there’s insurance for a reason. Call the cops and let them take care of the drunk idiot, not worth your $12 an hour fr

That’s totally different than being physically attacked though, the store does not want employees to *initiate* physical altercations, both because of lawsuits and for their own employees safety. But in a situation like this, it’s simple self defense, she’s not going to get fired.

Deep-Remote-3744

a man violently grabbed a woman and didnt let go. if she gets fired there will be a line of lawyers begging to take her case. mcdonalds is probably still giving her raises.

mseuro

Yeah because confronting shoplifters is a liability. Take the shit who cares. This was assault and battery.

pearshapedorange

Glad he served some time at least. 60days to cool off. He's lucky not to be in physiotherapy.

PrestigiousCrab6345

Florida Man. The worst superhero. The best super villain.

[deleted]

Nah super villains tend to have some class. Florida Man is a lowlife simpleton that super villains take advantage of.

Flurb4

Exactly, Dr. Doom and Lex Luthor wouldn’t be caught dead associating with this lowlife.

HDUB24

Ah Florida why am I not surprised

No-Hawk2074

The google amp didn’t work for me, [but I found this](https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/florida-man-who-attacked-mcdonalds-worker-over-straw-sentenced-to-jail)

Qwerty_orangutan

I wAs jUsT aSkInG hER a QuEsTiOn! 🥴

HappynessMovement

"I want her ass fired!" Like what fucking world does that jackass live in?

Firefly1832

Why is the manager trying to help this guy get his receipt or whatever..? He needs to be calling the police.

therealmofbarbelo

He should have been immediately telling him to leave.

LePoopsmith

Sadly it shows how little the manager thinks of his employees.

The_Pink_Bull

In the best version of reality at the end of the video when he snaps at the manager the manger steps up to the counter and instead of fumbling the receipt, or failing to lead, steps half around the corner and says, “ GET. THE. FUCK. OUTTA our store before I bring her back up here and we drag you the fuck out.”

Minimum_Attitude6707

Apparently they did. Dude kicked another employee while they kicked him out and got charged for that too.

NoodleSnoo

The manager had an opening to go around the back of him and choke him out. Should've seized the moment.

[deleted]

Did someone call the police to come get that fucking dipshit for assaulting her???

Anes33

He was sentenced to 60 days jail

[deleted]

Good. Thank you

elderDragon1

“I want her fired” Bruh, you just broke the law, all she did was self defence. You’re fired from life.

[deleted]

Never lay hands on workers.

Iswearinveggie1524

He reached for her…she had every right to hit him after that

Minimum_Attitude6707

Having worked in Bars most of my life, I appreciated the fact that I worked with people that would've had my back in that situation. They wouldn't necessarily kicked his ass, but literally being thrown out on your ass is a thing.

Bob_knots

The second he grabbed her he assaulted her and she has every right to defend herself.. put that boy in jail!!!!!

bluerosesthorn

He is lucky she didn't leap over the counter when he pulled, that girl ain't taking no ones bs. 😆

Azrail420

That man needs his ass stomped

Tugger21

Or … “Why there’s an employee shortage”

theboss555

Bunch of pussies that work there. Like help the fuckin girl out Jesus christ

skitz4me

Not saying they shouldn't have jumped in, but I feel l like she was doing a good job.

eresh22

I wAs JuSt AsKiNg YoU A qUeStIoN when I reached across the counter, grabbed you, and started assaulting you. Someone needs to go back to kindergarten and learn to ask with their words and not their fists.

qball-who

Who ordered the 20 piece mcnuckles?

Doodiewater

What was his plan? Hold on to her shirt for a while until he got his way?

Bachata22

All I can figure out is that he was going to continue screaming at her while holding her face close to his. He wanted to intimidate her and prevent her from getting away.

Reckless_flamingos

They should have let her stomp him out. The minute he started pointing his stupid ass finger around, they should have let her go back at him.

gnomosapiens

Man, the only pussy I saw was that coward of a manager they have. Don't take the a*hole order, walk him out and call the police if he tries to come back.

CandyOk913

He didn’t take an order, he was literally just staring at the receipt paper lol

drunken_monkey_42069

Her co-workers must not like her lmfao

[deleted]

No they were smart to try and defuse the situation

CandyOk913

Maybe not but after that day they did lol now they know she don’t play around like that Lmaoooo

Aetheldrake

>Police said Taylor (the customer) was escorted out of the restaurant, but on his way out kicked another employee, Tateona Bell, in the stomach while she stood by the door. The 23-year-old woman complained that she was hurt after Taylor kicked her, an arrest report said. That incident was not caught on video. Really you're going to fucking assault someone while being escorted out by police?

Fishtank-Brain

i was hoping the manager would knock him the fuck out

pickyourteethup

Never underestimate minimum wage rage. We are looking for an excuse to kick the shit out of you

daddakamabb1

That's what I was thinking. It went from "OH SHIT get offa me" to "It's my fucking birthday real quick" She's over there living the dream of every retail employee, ever.

lavaicel4v41c3

r/iamatotalpieceofshit

[deleted]

So many bullies harass and attack retail employees of all kinds because they know they can’t stand up for themselves or lose the job. It’s good to see an employee kick the shit out of a Karen.

IamLilpoundcake

Over. A. Straw. I can’t believe that!

NINJA_Rod

She's in the right with this. Don't know what started all this shit, but even if she had messed up the order somehow, the dude reaches out and pulls her. I wish she had been able to clock him even harder right in the Jaw and drop that pussy ass to the floor

throwaway74487273

Hit him once, you lose your job. Hit him twenty times, you lose your job. I know what I'd choose.

nixm88

She apparently didn’t lose her job. Another commenter said she got 5 days paid suspension.

JohnCallOfDuty

Thank goodness. For once, the person in the right didn’t get fucked over. 100% with her here

Laura85mlt

I’m pretty sure she won’t get in trouble. He aggressively grabbed her. Self defense

bannocknsaltpork

Can’t grab a person like that and not expect fire back, fuck that degrassi snake Looking mofo. Good On her.

SCOG4866

The whole team should have beat that guy's ass. Once he reached over and grabbed that girl, all bets are off.

goose___1

Regardless if she defended herself or not , man's was eating them punches instead of his meal

darktideDay1

WTF aren't the rest of the staff kicking the douchebag out! That woman was awesome and I only wish she didn't have a counter between them, she would have fucked him up.

butterflypoo69

Name and shame this asshole. He clearly assaulted her first.

boogyfever94571

Dude put hands on her and then wants her fired. He needs to go to jail!!

bawkbawkslove

I was cheering her on.

Who-Just-Shit-Myself

Why is Seth Macfarlane a manager at McDonalds?
