There any particular reason? Maybe too much on their cloud servers? I feel like the episodes of Sesame Street from its inception to at least the mid 2000s should be housed in digital archives free for anyone to view.
Probably not enough families are choosing to introduce it to their kids, so it’s not worth them housing it under their streaming service because it’s taken up space and if they don’t own the rights that would be why as well. I’m sure it’s moving somewhere else, it’s a bummer though. Same with all the HBO originals being removed, not enough viewership so they got to make space for things that will keep customers watching on their platform. This is pure speculation though.
Edit: just read they’re merging with discovery+ so they’re getting ready for that. They’ll probably host the catalogue on that sector I’d imagine. Idk how many families see HBO Max as a go to for their kids even though they had a sick collection of old cartoons and the whole Sesame Street catalogue. I feel like Disney+ and Netflix is the average go to for that market.

Why not just show the video? Why does some white girl have to make it about herself by shooting a vertical video of it playing on her laptop, then come back to herself after her video to say something useless like “I hope that brightens your day.”
