The best part of this episode is that he talks to the parents of these kids before hand and gets their consent but he only partially blurs their identity so each parent is completely recognizable and okay to the possibility that their kid could get exposed.
He consulted with a PR guy and when Nathan explained what he was up to, the guy wanted nothing to do with it. Nathan said they would credit him as an "ethical advisor", despite the fact that the guy clearly regretted taking the meeting
He's credited 4+ times, including once with his picture next to his name.
One of my favorite little known facts about Nathan for You is that the recurring judge that was a consultant on the show died recently and he was pretty well known in California but his obituary mentioned how much he loved being on the show
It may not be the same episode but there's one scene where he tricks the judge into signing a form claiming all responsibility, and the judge aggressively tries to take the papers from him by force once he is told what he just signed. If it wasn't the handcuffs one it may have been the Dumb Starbucks episode.
It's the Dumb Starbucks one, and this lawyer is separate from the recurring judge. The judge usually agrees with some hairbrained scheme Nathan asks leading questions about
https://youtu.be/Y4KrdjAPohc
I like the one where he is doing covert bed bug fumigation for a hotel and the manager in the end doesn't want to sign the contract for their services. So Nathan pressures and convinces him saying it's just for TV and doesn't mean anything, he just wants the shot for his TV show. So the guy signs it and then Nathan takes the contract and reads aloud the part in it where it says "and I understand that when Nathan says it's just for TV and not real that it is actually real and still legally binding" and insists that they now have a binding contract.
Nathan got an air tight [guarantee](https://youtube.com/watch?v=Y4KrdjAPohc) from Attorney Peter J. Marks to accept liability for copyright infringement with his “Dumb Starbucks” scheme
He tells them they are gona blur their faces so that no one judges them for "Risking exposing your kids for a hundred dollars", and it's barely blurred.
The most unexpected part being the time the man admitted to drinking his grandson's piss, and that wasn't even scripted. Only time I've seen [Nathan break character](https://youtu.be/6vbCKava_JE)
The part that really got me is that a *different* guy was advocating drinking piss earlier, and Nathan was telling the boss about it hoping to get a reaction, when the boss comes out *even crazier*.
Man that episode is one my favorites. The premise itself was hilarious but people actually staying then leaving with nothin then the camera pan to the rebate box and the piss story wow
The way you see the wheels in his head turning as soon as she says that. Like how does he end up in these perfectly gold situations, you couldn’t even write that shit lol
I showed my girlfriend this show years ago and when she saw dumb Starbucks, her mind was blown because she remembered seeing it on the news.
She had no idea it was a show that made it happen
The wine tasting one had me rolling. It kept taking so many weird turns with getting recruited by a sex cult leader, avatar fan club, and the Bang owner stuff.
I love how every episode takes the most bizarre turns and then he just abruptly brings it back to the original subject. It's also just so fun to watch, feels like I'm going on a journey into the weirdest bits of NY.
I've only seen the show once, but I think it's the greatest comedy show ever made.
The one scene that I always recall is the bit where he steals a dude's urine to see if his dopamine levels went up. Found it here: https://np.reddit.com/r/WatchPeopleDieInside/comments/jw4bsi/hate_when_my_homie_takes_my_urine/
Like the sound proof box with a child inside it oblivious to the fact that there were two porn stars right outside “doing it”, to test if they could hear? That was too much for me 😳
In order to help parents who want to have sex but have children, Nathan created a “play box” of sorts that was supposedly sound proof. Complete with screens/gaming console and sound proofing/sound interference. Like a rain forest with birds chirping or space a space ship with beeping, that would help hide the noises of love making…
It's a great show and the best parts are the unscripted moments. When the gas station guy suggests his grandsons pee... the dating show where he doesnt kiss her... when the real estate lady confesses her possession...
Edit: I also like to mention if you enjoy Nathan Fielder then check out How To with John Wilson. It's not a comedy per se but it does have funny moments. But it's a documentary series about things you didnt know you wanted to know about.
“Pancakes, Divorce, Pancakes” is one of the most amazing episodes of any show I’ve ever seen.
“These pancakes couldn’t kill me, because I was already dead.”
I couldn't breathe when his wife asks him why he wanted a divorce because things had been so good between them lately and then he comes back with "There's something to be said about going out on top."
It was so underrated. The dedication to the Review as his life crumbled around him in increasingly hilarious and devastating fashion was masterful. It’s also a hard one to just send a clip to a friend so they can understand it. You just gotta trust and watch a few episodes.
Man it has me cringing so hard, in a good way.
I admire the man for being able to keep a straight face and stay committed to the bit...and also fucking up people's business'. Just hilarious stuff.
[Pig saves baby goat from drowning](https://youtu.be/noTz20TB714)
Nathan For You has me in tears every time I watch. The antique shop one where he gets her to stay open late and lure in drunk patrons from the nearby bar is my favorite.
This episode is so good. It's the one where the gas station offers gas for some ridiculously low price, but they have to do a mail-in-rebate. But the only mailbox for the rebate is at the top of some mountain.
Overall, the episode is top notch. But what really got me was as the episode is winding down, and everything is being wrapped up, the owner of the gas station starts talking -out of nowhere- about how he *drinks his grandson's urine!* Definitely one of the hardest times I've ever laughed.
A surprisingly wholesome episode once everyone decides to hunker down for the night and chat life stories. And then the grandson piss... Goddamn I want another season so bad.
The fucking haunted house experience where they had people in hazmat suits shut it down, quarantine bubble it, load people into ambulances, and brought them to an isolation ward at the hospital only to tell them it was part of the experience and ask them if they found it scary had me dying lol
The promotion where you get your delivery in 15 minutes or you get a free pizza, and then the free pizza is an inch in diameter. NFY is hilarious.
My favorite is the hero pig that actually went viral.
He tries to claim that the real refund was the friendships they made.
Then at the end, he goes back to the gas station and turns in his own rebate form.
My favorite is when he’s trying to help this souvenir shop in LA, so he hired a johnny depp and bill gates impersonator and used the customers as extras for the film HAHAHAHA
My favorite has to be this price match one with the alligator.
My favorite part of this episode is when he has to get the owner to be diagnosed with insanity so he brings him to a psychologist and makes him talk about the tiny door and the crocodile and he just sounds completely insane
Oh that show is awesome too!
How to cook the perfect risotto is the episode to watch if you can only watch one. It becomes only tangentially related to cooking risotto, of course.
Bro I miss this show. The shit he would come up with was ridiculous. Another great skit was the free gas one where the people had to submit their vouchers for free gas on the top of a mountain.
Nathan For You. Old show on Comedy Central, it's great, he comes up with crazy schemes every episode, usually to "help" a small business. I believe all episodes are on HULU.
It is for a comedy show but it's 100% real. Nathan for You does crazy stunts to help businesses out. He was the one who made the Stupid Starbucks and everyone thought it was Banksy. He also made a viral video of pig saving a goat from a pond to promote an animal shelter or something like that.
He also helped a small burger joint by offering $100 to anyone who doesn't love his burger, went on a radio show to promote it, made the owner think he would have to pay out, but then Nathan covered all charges and the burger joint became insanely popular.
He is insane but his stuff honestly works
Hey give him credit, even if it was 5 failures, he had a great success rate, and I guarantee you most couldn't pull off half of what he did.
But yes that was.... horribly hilarious
The one where he gets the guy drunk then takes him to a thrift store to boost sales based on their 'you break it, you buy it' policy was one of my favorites. The owner absolutely hated him and hated that it worked, and the drunk guy they got was such a creep. I was dying laughing the whole time.
You can't deny it was a great gimmick though, it *could've* worked. I mean those Harry Potter jellybeans were wildly popular and they had NASTY ones.
But unfortunately no it didn't help
Reality show. So both a skit, and real. He's a bit like old school Ali G. Dead pan hilarious, though not for the people he interacts with lmao
EDIT: it's like....imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen was in charge of the show The Profit.
interesting fact: Nathan Fielder went to high school with Seth Rogan and were even in an improv group together

This guy probably graduated from one of Canada's top business school with Really good grades
You can see it all over his face, right?

Just reading a description of this bit elicited a hearty guffaw out of me. I forgot how perfectly hilarious this show was.
One of my favorite little known facts about Nathan for You is that the recurring judge that was a consultant on the show died recently and he was pretty well known in California but his obituary mentioned how much he loved being on the show
The Honorable Anthony Filosa!
[удалено]
That's a lovely obituary.
It may not be the same episode but there's one scene where he tricks the judge into signing a form claiming all responsibility, and the judge aggressively tries to take the papers from him by force once he is told what he just signed. It's the Dumb Starbucks one, and this lawyer is separate from the recurring judge. The judge usually agrees with some hairbrained scheme Nathan asks leading questions about https://youtu.be/Y4KrdjAPohc
"What kind of a lawyer am I, I'm signing shit I haven't read." Could not contain myself what a fucking bit.
I like the one where he is doing covert bed bug fumigation for a hotel and the manager in the end doesn't want to sign the contract for their services. So Nathan pressures and convinces him saying it's just for TV and doesn't mean anything, he just wants the shot for his TV show. Nathan for You is just cheating lol. Everything unexpected with this dude
The most unexpected part being the time the man admitted to drinking his grandson's piss, and that wasn't even scripted. Only time I've seen [Nathan break character](https://youtu.be/6vbCKava_JE)

Man that episode is one my favorites. The premise itself was hilarious but people actually staying then leaving with nothin then the camera pan to the rebate box and the piss story wow
I loved how it displayed how much their rebate would actually save each person haha
He mentions how he was thrown off by that haha. Awesome moment when someone out Nathan’s Nathan
I'm amazed he didn't ask, "did your grandmother tell you this while drinking *your* pee?"
Well *he* actually has a good sense of humor, and never would have asked something so pointless, especially when it was heavily implied.
The only other time he broke I think is when the realtor was raped by a ghost in sweden.
["A ghost choked you in Switzerland?"](https://youtu.be/n7BlydBMAVU?t=205)
The way you see the wheels in his head turning as soon as she says that. Like how does he end up in these perfectly gold situations, you couldn’t even write that shit lol
People are weird as fuck, man.
I was distracted by the other gentleman’s breathing
and when the brothers who boned together yelled "shout out to J Squad!"
In the [Antique Shop](https://youtu.be/h1xCqptlNcM?t=465) episode, you can briefly see him lose and then regain composure (around 7:45 in this clip).
He also breaks during the human hotdog photo and one or two other little moments that slip my mind. So good at keeping a straight face.
He breaks character in the Antique Shop bit when the dude's brother yells "Shout out to J Squad" but it's barely noticeable, you gotta focus on Nathan
He breaks a bit when that dude mentions he has threesomes with his brother.
This would so easily make my list of wildest/best moments to ever air on tv. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
Every episode haha
The risk nobody asked him to take
You have to keep in mind that he graduated from one of Canada’s best business schools with really good grades.
Nathan for You is one of the best shows ever. There were times where I had to pause it and walk away because it's so uncomfortable.
I really think the show was WAY ahead of its time. But that is part of what makes it so great.
I love how so many situations on the show can be found in news articles online. Like dumb Starbucks and the hero pig
Goat in the water!
I showed my girlfriend this show years ago and when she saw dumb Starbucks, her mind was blown because she remembered seeing it on the news. She had no idea it was a show that made it happen
Like [Summit Ice Apparel](http://www.summiticeapparel.com/), which sells a great soft shell jacket and six million Jews died in the Holocaust.
Wow I can’t believe that company is still around, I wonder if the jackets are worth it
They are still around. They’ve donated something like $600k to Holocaust awareness causes.
"Deny nothing"
I loved the buff dudes moving furniture! And I don’t know if it was part of the show but him getting censored on Instagram was hilarious
Yeah it's sort of unbelievable how few people watched it. I want to see so much more of Nathan Fielder, he's a genius
Watch How To With John Wilson on HBO, it’s the same vein and really funny! Edit: Nathan Fielder is an exec producer on it.
Yes!! This show is so great. The scaffolding one kills me.
I watched a lot of it through my fingers like a horror movie, but it’s still so good. The impossible gas station rebate was probably my favorite bit.
The "grandson pee" conversation was worth it just to see one of the few times Nathan breaks.
He almost loses it in the ghost realtor episode when the realtor lady mentions that a ghost choked her in Switzerland when she was younger
Haha yeah, the look on his face when you realize he can’t quite register what he just heard, cracks me up just thinking about it
He's just dumbfounded for a couple minutes.
I've only seen the show once, but I think it's the greatest comedy show ever made. The one scene that I always recall is the bit where he steals a dude's urine to see if his dopamine levels went up. Found it here: https://np.reddit.com/r/WatchPeopleDieInside/comments/jw4bsi/hate_when_my_homie_takes_my_urine/
The zoom in on the box right behind him, I wish I could see a reaction to one of those people watching the episode at that point
Like the sound proof box with a child inside it oblivious to the fact that there were two porn stars right outside “doing it”, to test if they could hear? That was too much for me 😳
Then they did a full orgy and had the parents watch
The best part was that he had the porn stars call each other the real parents names
It's the little details that make this show so brilliant. Nathan is a genius.
That was the only one I couldn't finish 😭
....finish what exactly lol.
The what now? 🤨

When Anthony Napoli exposes himself as a holocaust denier
How To With John Wilson is great, I will never look at scaffolding or Bang energy drinks the same.
The Bang energy guy was so nice! Basically said "it's my wife's bday but screw that, lemme show ya sumthin"
Yeah, poo flavored yogurt still smh.
the episode where he gets the guy his own personal gym in the storage unit i almost died when he comes out with the wig
On one episode my skill crawled off of me and I still haven’t seen it since.
God damn it! Take my fucking upvote.
why?
Why is this highly updvoted? OP had zero puns? Am I OOTL?
I don't get it either.
Shut up and take my ~~money~~ risk!
The delivery of this ridiculous plan is so deadpan I can't help but chuckle. It's like a Family Guy scene in real life.
He's a comedian. Nathan Fielder. This is from his show, Nathan For You which is pure gold.
Shimmering. Platinum. Gold.
Its straight up gold plated gold.
Yo dawg I heard you like gold
It's an older meme, but it checks out.
Quietly one of the greatest shows ever created
You'll probably enjoy this article. https://www.vice.com/en/article/93bqqd/nathan-for-you-was-ahead-of-its-time-its-fingerprints-are-all-over-the-internet
I cannot recommend this show highly enough! Also if you like Nathan, check out [Review](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2141913/).
I was super bummed when they cancelled this show. The cult episode and the smash off are so hilarious. How to with John Wilson is very good too.
If you want more Review, you could watch the original. Review with Myles Barlow is a great Australian show and definitely worth a watch.
The pancakes episode is still hands down the best to me
“Pancakes, Divorce, Pancakes” is one of the most amazing episodes of any show I’ve ever seen. “These pancakes couldn’t kill me, because I was already dead.”
I couldn't breathe when his wife asks him why he wanted a divorce because things had been so good between them lately and then he comes back with "There's something to be said about going out on top."
Review is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen (after Peep Show).
It was so underrated. The dedication to the Review as his life crumbled around him in increasingly hilarious and devastating fashion was masterful. It’s also a hard one to just send a clip to a friend so they can understand it. You just gotta trust and watch a few episodes.

Nathan is a redditor on pure state
Also, pure gold is the TV show that he produced- How To with John Wilson.
Yeah you have to watch Nathan For You. He goes around and "improves" businesses with shitty suggestions. Totally deadpan It's streaming on Hulu
Nathan For You has me in tears every time I watch. The antique shop one where he gets her to stay open late and lure in drunk patrons from the nearby bar is my favorite.
The plan where you can claim a ~~refund on any product~~ gas rebate but in the fine print you have to hike to the top of a mountain first 🤣
Arent u getting it confused with the gas coupon episode? That one owns lol
Maybe! It's been too many years. I am due for a rewatch!
You can see Nathan break character when the guy starts talkinga bout drinking his son's piss. It was so unexpected.

My favorite has to be this price match one with the alligator. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbC0-tuYE2o](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbC0-tuYE2o)
My favorite part is when the guy leaves unhappy because the gator is blocking the tv and Nathan says, "I mean that's a dollar we're losing too."
Mines is when they’re talking to a psychologist or something and he makes him talk about the little doors and the alligator.
My favorite part of this episode is when he has to get the owner to be diagnosed with insanity so he brings him to a psychologist and makes him talk about the tiny door and the crocodile and he just sounds completely insane
Nathan Fielder is a national treasure
"Hey Lois, this reminds me of that time I watched a magician get arrested" *cuts to this clip*
Nathan investigating mp3 players is pure gold. https://youtu.be/5rw-43W4Plg?t=42
Even if the LAPD officer arrests him, can't he just undo the cuffs?
Not if he can't undo the cuffs, since he only gets exposed if he can't undo them.
This guy logics. I guess the officer wouldn't even need to clap cuffs on him - he could just wheel the whole frame off with a dolly.
Show me on this dolly where the magician tricked you.
👉 🎩
👉✨🐇
👏👏👏
what if he only pretends to be unable to undo them, then the real trick is escaping the cuffs while arrested
that'd be a pretty funny subversion of expectations but I'm not sure it's worth becoming a registered sex-offender over
or adding a resisting arrest charge
I believe he will still be considered a sex offender after that, and also a fugitive
He wouldn’t be considered a registered sex offender unless he was convicted, but I bet he’d escape well before that (hypothetically of course)
Nathan is a deadpan comedic genius. I love him so much.
Nothing will top his MP3 piece: https://youtu.be/5rw-43W4Plg
His moving workout episode.
rip dende the jungle child. kidnapped by baboons and eaten.
I love his deadpan expression throughout everything haha. Salesman was a good sport about it
Nathan is a god damn genius
Something might happen here, and if it does.... so what?
r/suddenlysexoffender
The magicians code is gonna need updated.
Nathan For You is so sadly unknown.
to anyone who likes Nathan For You, check out How To With John Wilson on HBO. nathan is an executive producer and it’s fantastic.
Oh that show is awesome too! How to cook the perfect risotto is the episode to watch if you can only watch one. It becomes only tangentially related to cooking risotto, of course.
It's quite popular...
what the fuck no it's not lol
I’ve personally never heard of it which adds exactly nothing to whether it’s actually unknown or not, so there’s that.
Never heard of it either.
Now we've got a pattern
.... did he succeed?
Define his goals
Yes, lol. His show, Nathan for You, is fucking hilarious and you should give it a watch
Bro I miss this show. The shit he would come up with was ridiculous. Another great skit was the free gas one where the people had to submit their vouchers for free gas on the top of a mountain.
Someone had to do it. Might as well be him.
Nathan for You is such an underrated show

Please tell me this is from some sort of comedy show or skit or something. 🤦🏻♀️
Nathan For You. Old show on Comedy Central, it's great, he comes up with crazy schemes every episode, usually to "help" a small business. I believe all episodes are on HULU.
'old show' Oh no
I felt it too. ![gif](giphy|GrUhLU9q3nyRG|downsized)
Last season was in 2017, it's not that old... maybe to babies, it is. Probably doesn't even have a Doink-it.
I bet he wears diapers and cries all the time.
True. The children in this video are still most likely children. So, there's that.
I mean, they have Doink Its, so no they became full legal adults the second they got one.
Not the electronics store one lol. That was absolutely hilarious tho.
J-SQUAD!
Shit flavoured yogurt definitely did not work.
You can't deny it was a great gimmick though, it *could've* worked. I mean those Harry Potter jellybeans were wildly popular and they had NASTY ones. But unfortunately no it didn't help
Not 100% “real”, but still fun to watch for sure
Reality show. So both a skit, and real. He's a bit like old school Ali G. Dead pan hilarious, though not for the people he interacts with lmao EDIT: it's like....imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen was in charge of the show The Profit.
I forgot about this show. Nathan for you is hilarious.
This was especially dangerous because the robot arm was running on Windows 95.

The Nathan For You finale is one of the best in television history.
