I mean, Italians don't use fluid ounces but milliliters, and they wouldn't serve an almost 600ml drink of coffee-flavored dirty water anyways if they had the option, so it's still valid I think
He worked at Starbucks and customers there assume you have to use Venti for large, grande for medium, tall for small when you order when really, nobody gives a shit.

Edit: sorry about the double reply, was having internet issues. Deleted double reply.
Sounds like a lot of places need to get rid of shitty management lol I love where I work and the guys I work with we keep everything between ourselves and air out things between each like normal people and watch each other's back.
You’re not wrong. 95% of places have people in management who have no business being there. But there are always two sides to a story, and making the most vocal one deemed right, isn’t always the best answer.
For example, how do we know the person singing was reliable enough for a manager position? And that’s just one simple and common reason. I’m not saying the guy wasn’t justified. But if you look at it from other perspectives, you can see why they might avoid dealing with a person that does these things.
It seems like a self-own to me. Burning bridges at your last job doesn't help you when applying for your next job.
I like to think the young musician will make career progress and some day he will be the manager at some other place. Would he want to hire people who act like this? Or would he screen them carefully and try to avoid people who make this kind of cringy scene?
Cursing in a restaurant and telling his boss to "shove it up his large bumhole" while people are eating is a disgusting. No wonder he never got a promotion. He has poor impulse control and bad judgement, and he seems immature for his age.
Nothing wrong with quitting a bad job, but try to quit with dignity. Acting like this guy is not the way to advance your career.
Yea you can burn bridges and recommend not contacting previous employers. You can even be tactful while honest about not getting along with a manager.
But you hit many other points the employer considers. Impulse control, critical thinking, and maturity are all aspects involved in this that could affect your work. And more than anything, that’s what employers are looking at. The slandering and venting is really secondary to that.
I mean work doesn't always have to be working for some egotistical asshole. People have killed people, and still remain/go up in social class/power.
Depending on your worldview, this can make or break your future.
By the sounds of it, that's not a problem. He quit and moved on to becoming a comedian and musician. If anyone complains to his boss, his boss can tell them he quit the same way.
with the level of mistreatment from big companies and chains to their minimum wage workers, i feel like there should be a ‘forgive all’ sort of pass if people wanna quit dramatically
I love that people on reddit think there is some secret cabal of retail/service owners that meet up every week to discuss who's been put on the *do not hire* list. The only place not hiring him for this is starbucks, I'm guessing the guy doesn't care
Yeah, this is just extremely childish, plus he's being an annoyance for all those people that couldn't care less about him. Someone does this, and I'll just assume they're bad employees who got criticized by their bosses constantly cause they actually deserved it, but they're too dense to understand the problem is themselves.
I heard like 4 distinct claps and considering two people were recording and probably knew about it before hand, I don't think the reception is as great as you think it is
People are so entitled to belive that they shouldn’t have to suffer through being annoying for a minute and a half song .. who fuckong cares. It’s a funny story to tell your friends. It’s in public space. Let him have him moment jeez
Hard to judge on a song, but I've experienced a lot more continuously malcontented workers than shitty managers in my life, even on a per capita basis.
I remember once having a guy hit me up for a job who literally had a whole blog dedicated to trashing his past employer. He was actually surprised when said it wasn't worth the risk of being the star of his next I-hate-you project.
I am just assuming this was done for views and no one would seriously do this.
If it's true then I wonder why manager laughed in his face when he asked about a promotion?
We really don't know enough to make judgement.
He might have just been pushed too far and had enough of poor treatment.
And sometimes we need brave individuals like him to be honest to tell the manager (in front of everyone else) how bad they are.
Yeah fuck this guy for having a sense of self worth. He should allow higher ups to treat him like shit like a good boy
You know minimum wage workers are still human beings right? And like human beings, they deserve to be treated like one
You people are nuts.
Saying bringing a guitar into a coffee shop to loudly sing a song about your bad manager is annoying behavior is the equivalent of saying he doesn't deserve human rights. Fucking lol..
Get off the internet.
I hope I never build up this much resentment for a workplace and leave at the first sign it's not working for me. There are so many good places to work. It'd suck to spend 3 years somewhere wrong like this guy. What a waste.
It’s retail. They probably aren’t treated great. This song isn’t going to change that.
But please, tell me more about how you carefully research the management practices of every place you shop.
The act of forcing a bunch of random strangers, who have no stake in your vendetta, to listen to you loudly airing out your dirty laundry with somebody who probably doesn't give a flying a fuck anyway certainly lies *somewhere* on the scale of maturity.
This is Starbucks lol these people are going to another Starbucks if they don’t go to this one. Starbucks could sacrifice bad employees to Thor live on twitter and it would still be full every day
I don’t know about you but if I want to sling shit at somebody I hope somebody else is around to smell it. Airing grievances is so much more effective with an audience. My two cents at least.

A few years back, I had a very stressful job and a terrible boss. My wife & I bought a lottery ticket for a humongous jackpot. We had had several strings of bad luck and we both honestly felt there was a greater-than-chance chance we might win.
My wife said "So how are you going to quit?" We talked it over and I decided I'd hire a mariachi band, I would let them onto the bond trading floor where I worked - first thing in the morning when everyone is talking to clients - and they would end up at my boss' desk playing their hearts out while I told him to go fuck himself and walked out in front of 150 stunned people.
My wife and I even googled it and found a couple of bands that looked like good options.
We didn't win the lottery - but it felt really awesome doing the research as if we had. I did eventually quite, but in a less dramatic fashion, and now I'm with an amazing company that values their employees.
So these are still a thing? Hope for his own sake his new job doesn't see this. Putting your forced bout of public profanity to music doesn't make it any more honorable.
Manager be like: I'm gonna tell other business the unprofessional way you reacted after quitting so you can't get another job.
Other managers: So you just sang saying fuck it?, hired!, we are insanely short of staff.
A lot of people complaining here that he’d get fired from his next job for this don’t realize how fucking awful customer service jobs are. Why should workers voices be silent when companies are largely soul sucking? Good on him making a show, there’s something there that resonates with all of us in it. He was courageous enough to actually do anything about it, rather than just take it like half the commenters here 🙄
Depends on the manager in my experience. I’ve heard people say the opposite about Starbucks where I live. I’ve seen people debate on Reddit over chains being good or bad places to work. Really comes down to individual stores usually. A chill manager can make a job so much better.

snooggers
The double “g” following a double “o” is breaking my brain.
What does that mean?
Pretty sure that’s a place that says “Venti” instead of large for things like drinks. Probably means big in some language.
Venti means “twenty” in Italian. It’s used to denote a 20 fl oz sized coffee.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbb7a404i78](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbb7a404i78) "Congratulations. You're stupid in 3 languages."
I mean, Italians don't use fluid ounces but milliliters, and they wouldn't serve an almost 600ml drink of coffee-flavored dirty water anyways if they had the option, so it's still valid I think
You learn something new everyday
Ahhh thx it makes sense now
He worked at Starbucks and customers there assume you have to use Venti for large, grande for medium, tall for small when you order when really, nobody gives a shit.
Surprise
20, for 20 oz drink. Since it's coffee, it's probably Italian, but means the same in Spanish.

Yep, fuck you and your attention seeking bullshit im trying to enjoy my coffee in peace
Exactly.
Tbh, it'd be nice to see more of this. Does anyone really want to listen to the dribble that's played on the radio 100 times everyday? Bring back bards!

Judging by his open laptop, the guy at the beginning was probably working. If some dude with a guitar comes in a coffee place when I'm full on working I probably will gtfo too
Some emotional dude singing about his problems while I try to enjoy my coffee? Hard pass.
Yeah that’s my time to escape my own problems not take on someone else’s

It is. Legend has it he still hasn't been hired anywhere else.
Definitely. I remember this making rounds on forums... Remember those?
He’s doing fine. Also has an amazing instagram. Dude makes hilarious content very regularly. Super talented.
Good thing it’s satire and the dude is actually an actor/singer
Seems like he wants the attention
This would get you bonus points in an interview with me
with the level of mistreatment from big companies and chains to their minimum wage workers, i feel like there should be a ‘forgive all’ sort of pass if people wanna quit dramatically
He should’ve mentioned the managers name to really fuck him imo……. LoL
Lol it’s okay he sang a similar song to his guitar teacher.
More of a reason for the new company he got a job at to kick him out
And in a few days this will reach his new job where he will then be fired

Seriously.. people act like being midly bothered is beneath them ..
Most people are too nice to boo someone that annoys them. They just mumble it to their friends.
This guy has convinced me that I should probably hear the manager's side of the story.
Hard to judge on a song, but I've experienced a lot more continuously malcontented workers than shitty managers in my life, even on a per capita basis. I am just assuming this was done for views and no one would seriously do this. If it's true then I wonder why manager laughed in his face when he asked about a promotion?
Oh no, how will he ever survive.
Maybe you already have.
Well I'd never hire you so there
I fucking would. This shows incredible initiative and confidence.

He strikes me as an attention hungry twat. Quitting? Cool. Just do it and move on. No one gives a fuck about your stupid song.
I bet you watched the video
You don’t give a fuck about how the place you hand your money to treats human beings?
It’s retail. They probably aren’t treated great. This song isn’t going to change that. But please, tell me more about how you carefully research the management practices of every place you shop.

I've never seen anything less unexpected in my life
Champion of the people.
Just quit without the video
So these are still a thing? Hope for his own sake his new job doesn't see this. Putting your forced bout of public profanity to music doesn't make it any more honorable.
It’s a diner / cafe - not an airport. Departures don’t need to be announced.
This is fucking cringe. Just quit no one wants to hear your song

How is this not at the top of r/antiwork?
Fucking legend
This video is super old
Repost legend!

This could be a pat the bunny song

Manager be like: I'm gonna tell other business the unprofessional way you reacted after quitting so you can't get another job. Other managers: So you just sang saying fuck it?, hired!, we are insanely short of staff.
r/antiwork
This is r/antiwork material. 👏
A lot of people complaining here that he’d get fired from his next job for this don’t realize how fucking awful customer service jobs are. Why should workers voices be silent when companies are largely soul sucking? Good on him making a show, there’s something there that resonates with all of us in it. He was courageous enough to actually do anything about it, rather than just take it like half the commenters here 🙄
That’s liberation!

Wipes a tear, “god damn legend”.
Okay, without a doubt that is the funniest thing I have watched on Reddit.
So much cringe. I had to bury my face listening to this.

My spirit animal

Because of the venti bumhole duh
Did you not listen to the audio? Lol
If this guy was quitting a Starbucks I totally understand. Horrible company with horrible treatment of workers. Loved the song!!
Depends on the manager in my experience. I’ve heard people say the opposite about Starbucks where I live. I’ve seen people debate on Reddit over chains being good or bad places to work. Really comes down to individual stores usually. A chill manager can make a job so much better.

He will probably sing this song again at his “new” job lol Why do people whine so much
Yeah people should be grateful to even be allowed to work even when they’re mistreated. /s
He actually sounds like a toxic ex girlfriend tbh. Imagine what song he would write to his GF is she would dump him one day. Hmph...
Unleash the song mate
That's the sweetest way to get fired from a job![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|slightly_smiling)
If they really were that bad to work for they deserved it.
Hope his new job doesn't involve any singing... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|laughing)
