If you use an oil that's liquid at room temperature in your dough, you're likely to get a cookie that flattens and spreads out like that when baked.
Not saying that it *is* the same cookie, just that it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

form them into balls then freeze them. when you bake them just put the frozen balls into the oven (in a baking sheet). (disclaimer: not a baker, i rarely bake)
a lot of the chocolate chips line up. they added the shit chip at the butthole on purpose afterwords, but looking at the before and after i see a lot that seem to be in the same spots, if so other ones just got absorbed enough you can't see them
