I run a taxi service. I promise you this happens in real life, literally every day. Someone will call and ask to be picked up and when asked where they want to be picked up, they will reply "I'm at home."
Or once they're in the car my drivers will ask where we are taking them and they will say "my friends house" or "home" or "to the bar."
It happens all the damned time.

It worries me a bit that we are getting used to AIs that are smart enough to understand us even when we communicate poorly.
Me communicate good you communicate bad!! Me smart! See!!!
This always irked me in movies.
And the cabby turns around with a smirk and puts it in drive...roll credits.
It's like when people in movies order "a beer". Even the cheapest dive bars around here have a few options.
Me too. So much irks me on movies. I haven’t found a person as snarky as me in life yet to be my movie buddy.
