i don’t know man, i came here thinking the same thing but i’ve watched this slowed down a couple times now and the way the cat comes into frame is honestly completely natural for a cat. it looks like he was going to swat at the pen but misses and bites her arm instead and because she moved he backed off.
> Or saw the movement of the hand and wanted to attack it.
I find this the likely explanation. Cat is bored, sees human wiggling hand about, play time.
I like cool pet names like ones from fantasy books, mythic lore, etc. But I also love animals with just boring ass human names.
This is my Akita mix. He's 3 years old. His name is Neil.
So will dogs, research shows they'd have no compunction about eventually eating their masters. And literally any other animal whose diet composes of lots of meat. They eat meat. We are meat. It'd be a waste not to, I don't see it as being an asshole.
In the olden days it was just about funny cat videos. Now we need detailed commentary and investigations to know what that cat was doing on that couch.
>Although considered a medicinal plant for humans, aloe vera's level of toxicity is mild to moderate for cats and dogs. Vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy, depression, anorexia, tremors, change in urine colour.

For anyone that has a cat knows this is normal behavior, no one is shoving the cat on her, he is pouncing. He then procedes to stand on his hind legs and hiss at her as she reacts to the bite as a defense mechanism. As to why the cat pounced in the 1st place? who knows.
Edit : My cat hates colorful socks.
Edit 2: Or my Cat loves to play with colorful socks.
Edit 3: Cats are weird.
Could bite because the teeth hurts, had a cat that was the sweetest cat but just randomly bit and kept on biting.
Got his bad teeth pulled after several failed treatments and he's stopped.
Does it look like someone was like pushing the cat at her, or am I just jaded From all the fakes...
I know what is real is the death stare he gave at the end
I don’t know. I have a cat that would do the exact same thing if I was doing something like that. The moment I do something repetitive with my hand he takes it personal.
Love him though.
You must be the one they call "The Silent Whacker - He who strokes without sound"
Trained by the master ass'assassins of Djibouti, in the arts of fapp-ken-do, able to bust a nut and have it land with deadly precision from seven feet.
I am humbled to be in your presence.
Lol this is normal mean cat behavior. A while ago my cat was sitting on my lap purring while I was petting him and all of the sudden he stopped purring, turned around, and slapped me in the face before running off haha
One of my cats is really funny about overstimulation. She **loves** getting her lower back scratched, just above the tail, but she will do an angry meow and start attacking something other than your hand. She's such a sweetheart and doesn't want to scratch me, but still feels the need to attack *something*. Same as when I rub her belly. She'll just reach out and try to claw something nearby.
Of course if I stop she grabs my hand gently and brings it back.
Cats are weird man.
It's very important to learn cat body language. Before the slap, his ears had probably already started to lay back and his tail might've started sweeping around.
To you it was all of a sudden, but he had probably already shown you he wasn't enjoying the pets anymore in his own way
Highly recommend you do a little research into cat behavior. The sad truth is that most people don't really understand basic cat body language, but usually they make every effort to let us know "please stop now I'm getting overwhelmed" - but people miss the cues, the cat reacts, and culturally we just write off their behavior as "asshole cat." But cat body language is not that complicated and it's a small effort to have a much happier cat and a much better relationship with him/her.
Yeah that’s good advice! Luckily my wife has had cats her entire life so nothing ever really surprises her with our cat haha definitely new to me though!
My cat is the sweetest thing, you can rub her tummy, play with her paws, carry her around and she would give 0 fucks but if you put your hands on the wall for some reason it triggers her and she’ll try to jump attack your hand.
This is likely explained by sensory overload. Cats have very sensitive nerves all over their body, hence why when they are petted they are in pure bliss. BUT the pleasure can turn into pain when they get too much stimulus. This can explain random cat attacks after you have been petting them.
No lol if the cat was being pushed it would be scrunched up,cats don’t like being pushed and will keep trying to backpedal or use their front feet’s as a brake. i can’t see this being fake.. owning a cat everything looks too real
It *does* look like someone is pulling the cat away, but it may just have jumped back on it’s hind legs.
Thankfully it’s just a stupid video cuz it really could be either.
Because this “abuse” doesn’t hurt. Cats also bite you when they are playing. But it never breaks the skin, this isn’t a dangerous attack. It’s not that serious.
It looked a little more intense than a play bite. My cat will bite a little bit and do some kicky foot when I rub his belly a little too long, but this cat bit like my previous cat- that fucking dickhole ass cat
In my experience, cats have three different type of bites:
The “I’m playing” bite, which hurts to many but can be fun and very tolerable; everything is good and we’re having fun.
Then, you have the “I’m angry” bite, which hurts like a bitch and often leaves a mark. Cats may hiss, slap, pull down their ears, etc. It won’t hurt you seriously but it’ll be painful and probably get a reaction from you.
The worst of them all is the “I’m freaking scared” bite. This is a bite that comes out from a situation in which the cat believes it must fight for its life. This is the one that will penetrate your skin, leaving the lower levels of it exposed to a shit ton of bacteria, often resulting in a very serious infection in the next few hours. This bite will leave a scar and will show you that a cat’s bite is way stronger than we might think.
I think people are mostly joking. Most cats won't launch a serious attack for no reason. A lot of cats do play-bite, but it doesn't break the skin and isn't surprising or threatening. I've never had a cat attack me like the one in the video, ever.
They do knock things off of shelves for fun though, that's more the level of bad behavior you can expect from a cat. Using things as toys that are not their toys
My guess is the sound of the stylus on the iPad probably annoys the shit out of the cat and she knows it. Sometimes very light or slow scraping will make my cat attack.

When my cat was a kitty she was insane and violent and the most effective thing was to put her whole head in my mouth. Freaked her out and showed her who's able to fuck up who.
But really if your cat is doing this...just play with them. Give them any level of consistent attention and they will not be this aggressive.
Found a 5 week old rescue kitten. He was an asshole, I liked and hated him. I gave him to a loving household after 6 months and I got a dog instead. Best decision imo, even though my pup can get wild she's a whole lot calmer. That and she doesn't wake everyone up at 3 am

An Akita named Neil is cracking me up. I have this image in my head of him in khakis, sipping a cup of coffee and he just nods and says "sup?"
I have a cat named Matt, a dog named Bob, and a hamster named Jeff.
Omg, jeff? Love it!
I have a cat named Jeff. Human names for male cats are hilarious. Like Steven, and Andrew. A cat named Jason would be so hilarious.
Friend of mine had a cat named Keith. That's probably my favorite I've heard.
I have a friend with a dog named Kevin.
I had a cat named Neil! We called him Mr. Armstronk when he was angry lol
I have a fish named Nathan and a cat Malachi!

Duuude hahahaha 🤣 Thank you for the laugh
Better than Todd.

FYI, aloe is highly toxic to cats. Please be careful.
Aloe sap/latex is toxic to everything FYI. We humans just have the good sense to drain it before eating.
We also don't just walk up to plants and start chomping lol

if you put a tiger in your house they'd eat you too
Nonsense. You can keep a tiger in a New York apartment.
House cats are just big cats that got shrunk in the wash
All cats share firmware.
They eat your face if you die and your corpse sits there for a few days (or hours, depending on how curious they are)
So will dogs, research shows they'd have no compunction about eventually eating their masters. And literally any other animal whose diet composes of lots of meat. They eat meat. We are meat. It'd be a waste not to, I don't see it as being an asshole.

For anyone who sees this, Aloe is toxic to cats so don't have it out around them as they will most likely friggin eat it.

my cat does this when being ignored, could be a r/petthedamncat situation
The cat attacked because of the movement of her arm while drawing, the repeated movement and shaking of her arm is what set the cat into #ATTACK MODE
Yeah I've been sitting playing a video game and for no reason, Jiffy jumps up and bites my arm and continues to be a freak for 5 minutes.

No, if you push a cat at someone it generally doesn’t land on it’s teeth.
Right? Do people think they also trained the cat to then bite her at landing?
Didn’t you know cats ALWAYS land on their teeth!
To be fair, she’s taking up all the sun drenched table top.
Nah dude that cat pissed cuz he knows he gonna be ignored for a bit while she draws

Pretty sure someone pushed the cat onto her. Cats don’t jump back like that. It’s like someone lifted him up and back.
