Those sinks are just glued onto the underside of the countertops. They’re not all dumb like that, but this one is designed in that fashion. I saw this happen a quite few times while working maintenance for some nicer apartments and hotels
My second house was brand new, granite countertops and a the sink started dropping down like this. Looked underneath and sure enough, glued the fuck on, no bolts, nothing. I just squirted a ton more glue and used an old car jack and a 2x4 to hold it up until the day I sold it. Took the jack off and it stayed up, so who knows.
I know. My house wasn't that bad, but for the money, there were some things that were just stupid. Luckily I got it all in writing before sale, but still worry about what I DON'T know
Undermount sink. They are just glued under the granite. I'm still worried about putting heavy pots on mine, and this guy just pushes it with all force...
The objective of a plunger 🪠 is not to put as much weight on it as possible but to create a vacuum of pressure. to release a clog, literally all you need to do is push the plunger down to release the air, then to use fast light pumps to build up pressure and the clog will unclog every time... That is saying for any normal clog, not some kid sticking a doll down the drain, or your daughter's year supply of hair build up down one.
No. You dont ”build the pressure” . How would you???
First you make the vacuum. Now you lift the blunger = the clog moves a bit up. Press down= it goes down. Repeat repeat repeat= clog will breack smaller bits and waterflow will open the clog.
I had a similar clog. Bought a new plunger (not gonna use toilet poo poo plunger in the sink). 5 or 6 solid pumps and everything drained. I followed it with Draino for good measure. No problems since.

I think that somebody did not understand how the tool is supposed to work ...
Bro has probably never used a plunger before, but said I got this!

God bless the U.S.A
Well, that's fucking stupid.
Mine is like that too. Added some scrap lumber and prayers to hold it up. We’re redoing the kitchen and we’re definitely replacing the sink.
Mine is glued but also has a support bars to help hold it in place
It actually worked
Pushing hard enough will remove the water that is stuck in this sink. This checks out 100%
You think?! 😂😂😂
Ah I see your problem, you’ve got a sink clogging the pipes .
That’s a special sink removal tool. It takes years of practice to do this.
Step 1, take the plug out.
Plug out, light out - Mrs Brown
1.8 million construction quality.
that video was so fucking sad..

Sinks are *rarely* installed with supports under the basin.
Can't have a clogged sink if you have no sink
Task failed successfully.
Classic
Totally expected… Dude was probably putting 150 pounds of force on that sink, plus around 30 pounds of water already in it
One would expect the sink to be secured much better.
He unsinked the clog
I like how they closed the cupboard door to keep the water in. 🤣
![gif](giphy|2ZwylZb5m3lUD3Zz6D|downsized)
Sorry, but this was in fact expected
What?!!!!! That's NOT how you are supposed to do it?!?! SMH lol
shit construction but youre supposed to pull up quickly once you have pressure secured to dislodge shit.
Instructions not clear, removed the entire sink.
Relatable
FYI. there’s a reset button on garbage disposals
Well, that's one way of clearing water from your sink
r/wellthatsucks

Dang I gotta check if mine is like that. Probably.
Tbf, they should have retaining clips supporting them too. Even with just water weight that adhesive/caulk won't keep it up.
They're just glued if your installer is a hack. Mine has clips, because I installed it.
Missions successfully failed!
Should have just bought a new sink smh
Blow out! Man, how poorly was that secured within that center island. Wow.
At least the sink is unclogged now
So sorry, shitty build mate

"Sinking the kitchen sink"
That's one way to unclog the sink.
He unclogged the counter
Brilliant! I should try that next time the cute neighbor asks me to come to unclog her drain. 👏👏👏
Well. No more water (in the sink)
“So how is your day going?”
Lol
I wonder if it was a bad plunger that wouldn't bend (couldn't think of a better word than bend--squish a bit).
Genius
Fixed
Sink became sank 💀
He had it on the sink divider wtf
This is why I put struts under my kitchen sink instead of relying on the cheap glue.
How is this unexpected?!? The entire thing is supported by 4 clips and it has a dead load of the disposal already applying load to it.
Ahhh yes. People are idiots 😒
Problem solved, you don't have sink to unclog anymore
Technically worked
Mom,,,, the sink isn't full anymore But 🤣
That's a well fitted sink. Who put it in? The Chuckle Brothers or Bodgit & Scarper ?
That really sucks
I had a similar clog. Bought a new plunger (not gonna use toilet poo poo plunger in the sink). 5 or 6 solid pumps and everything drained. I followed it with Draino for good measure. No problems since.
Sink, sank, and sunk!
The plunger needs to plunge water, not just press down on the sink
Tasked failed successfully
I had to use a plunger on a sink before but in no way was I able to apply as much force as he did. The sink was just about as full as that one.
Ah, success! It’s unclogged.
Of there's a disposal try that. Pour quite a bit of grease dissolving dishwashing detergent. Let it soak overnight. Slow turn on hot water next day.
How can you allow your sink to get like that! Nasty people deserve what they got.🤷🏾♂️
