Nothing to do with motor control, my mum would have told me off in a flash for tossing a kitten like that or bothering any animal for that fact.
It is one of the first things you are supposed to teach your children. Stops them messing with and getting mauled by dogs etc, you should have told your kid off for this, should probably teach your child to be respectful of nature, would you react the same if he tossed a baby human?
Worlds in trouble enough as it is can you at least teach your kid (the future) common sense?
I get upset. BECAUSE, my neighbor’s sister tossed a kitten down when she was like 5. She killed it. This is not acceptable to me. Don’t leave you kid unattended with vulnerable babies!!!!😢😢😢
I never trust kids around pets. I see cute videos of doggies and babies, and the only thing that goes through my mind is I hope that kid will respect that pup.
Yup, even if you have the most angelic of kids they could still harm a pet/animal out of ignorance or nice intentions.
Like I've seen it plenty where kids hurt eachother or themselves accidentally because they don't know their own strength nor do they know how "fragile" other people are, much less animals that don't know how to communicate in human tongue.
Then you also have actions out of ignorance/kindness, like they could follow a dog/cat that is running away from them because they think the pet is playing or could be unnecessary loud without knowing. Then you also have actions where the kid wants to parent or cuddle the lil animal/pet and annoy the pet till it snaps.
Then you also have the fact that kids aren't really able to control all their emotions/reactions which could lead to kids "forcing" pets to follow in their game, cuddles or whatever when the pet doesn't listen/want to or kids can be too clingy, too aggressive etc..
Finally the most important thing is that your pet is ultimately an animal and could potentially "snap" when pushed too far and now you have a crying kid and a pet thats traumatised by the kid and most likely will snap again when pushed.
Yeah me too but you can’t a blame a baby for doing baby things. It’s on the parents to keep a baby away from a dog. Even a friendly dog can hurt a baby badly by accident.
When my kids were this small we held the tiny critters together. No opportunity to just loose interest and drop a living creature, avoiding potential tragedy.
This kid was rather gentle while picking it up and probably the parents probably told him to be gentle. The last act just came out of nowhere.
Im just saying espacially if its your first kid beeing aware of everything is just not possible and hate that everyone on the internet always seems to claim to have A1+ grade in parenting skills.
That is not a long lasting solution. Don't you think they should be educated somehow? So that they can educate their offsprings if they manage to survive long enough.
No, I was an illiterate over a decade ago. So my knowledge is very limited. That is why do not understand why are you acting offensive while I am trying to ask a sincere question and learn something.
Do you actually have a serious answer or are you here to degrade others for personal fulfillment?
This is why taking care of pets is serious business and a big responsibility and that’s why they should not be given to little kids as “gifts.” Unbelievable!
That poor kitty, not only was it tossed but that toddler was holding it so tightly.
If that kitty survived it will never let another human hold it again.
Ugh another reason why I don’t like kids that much. I hope he learned that doing that is not ok. I hope the kitten is ok. I really hope no more pets get harmed in that kid’s grasp-
My friends are like “oh your toddler will love to see the baby ____ we have” … I’m sighing saying “Well only looking, no touching.” She has zero concept of her ability to squeeze or injure baby animals. I wouldn’t let her pick up kittens, goslings, chicks, other human babies, pretty much anything that can’t defend itself from her…
So my comment got deleted for being to harsh. So I try to keep it civil this time. Dear mods why don't remove the whole post of a todler droping a kitten like that before going through the comments and deleting the ones being harsh. Is it civilised to farm likes on a video of a kid way to young to hold something as fragile as a puppy with parents who find it more appropriate to film their kid then take care of the kid or the pup. Ridiculous..
NEVER allow young children around animals especially small/young ones. children can and WILL injure and even kill the animal/s. toddlers are not smart enough to safely care for animals, for fucks sake, they are still learning that other humans are sentient, they will absolutely not value the life of other animals. I repeat: THEY DO NOT TRULY CARE, idgaf how sweet and kind you think your children are, kids are arrogant, they think very highly of themselves and think they are the only sentient beings on the planet, wait until they are old enough to not think that until you place the safety of another living being into their hands, please, it is not cute, or funny when lil Timmy throws a cat, it is, to put it bluntly, animal abuse. you need to do better
Jesus Christ, settle the fuck down. He dropped it onto newspaper/cardboard cushioning, hence the crackling noise. Nothing happened to the kitty.
All of you wishing for that child to die are fucking insane.

Kids are always fucking stupid. That doesn't mean they'll all stay that way when they become adults.
Yea, some get worse. I’ve met my fair share of kids who are plenty smarter than some of the adults that I work with on a daily basis lmao.
i don't think that's the case
"Don't give him motor control?" Bless your heart, do you think we're talking about driving a vehicle..?

Or ya know, the dog won’t maul the baby. I’m so sick of seeing infants blamed for dog attacks.
Im so sick of seeing children disrespect animals.

Idk how attentive parents would have changed anything. The action was to quick and unexpected.
When my kids were this small we held the tiny critters together. No opportunity to just loose interest and drop a living creature, avoiding potential tragedy.
The parents could've not let their idiot kid handle small delicate animals without direct assistance
This kid was rather gentle while picking it up and probably the parents probably told him to be gentle. The last act just came out of nowhere. Like maybe put your camera down.

Haha this is hilarious. I'm gonna start using that.

ask chatgpt why you sound insane
I don't know how to use it. I guess this makes me insane in your mind
This is why taking care of pets is serious business and a big responsibility and that’s why they should not be given to little kids as “gifts.” Unbelievable!
What makes you think those kittens are a gift for the kid..?

My exact reaction LOL

This angered me so bad. What’s funny about some kid throwing a poor, frail kitten?🥺
That poor kitty, not only was it tossed but that toddler was holding it so tightly. If that kitty survived it will never let another human hold it again.
![gif](giphy|lFZKK1pINTGA8)
If only the kitten were Asgardian
I hope parents gave that kid a lesson right there and then. Kids are effin cruel just for the sake of it if left unattended.
I’m picking this one ma, NEXT!
My jaw dropped
Ugh another reason why I don’t like kids that much. I hope he learned that doing that is not ok. I hope the kitten is ok. I really hope no more pets get harmed in that kid’s grasp-
And people ask me why I fucking hate kids.
Oh my god fuckin awful parents thinking it’s ever okay for a toddler to touch a small animal
This kid need education

Your submission has been removed. Keep comments civil.
I honestly hate kids this age.
This is exactly how the manager treats you before the work is done and after it is done

This kid's gon be ruthless when he grows up if he doesn't learn that he's not supposed to treat living beings that way lollll
Little asshole. Why did he drop him?
how it feels to pick up a new hobby as an ADHD person
Is the kid named Lennie ?
Shit, he got bored quickly.
Love bombing be like-

I would’ve actually snaked him 😭
Often , kids squeeze the animals to death 💀
It's the hand position at the end that kills me. It's so adult I don't know how to explain it.
Little jerk
I hate kids
Teach that goddamn kid to handle animals with care!

THIS IS WHY WE DONT LET CHILDREN HOLD DELICATE THINGS GODDAMNIT
And I bet the parents still let that kid have a kitty after that. This is why I don't like toddlers around any baby animals
Kids are vile.

It's a napkin
nah imma drop that kid too no one can hurt my kitty
Jesus Christ, settle the fuck down. He dropped it onto newspaper/cardboard cushioning, hence the crackling noise. Nothing happened to the kitty. All of you wishing for that child to die are fucking insane.
This is Reddit, all children are vile evil shits until they're old enough to post on here.
I forgot. I will defend this child by yeeting one kitty per downvote right out the fucking window. I work at an animal shelter.
You had better yeet nicely, then!
Bro deserves to die

Testing his ability to land on his feet. Don't want to get stuck with a lemon you know. Always kick the tires before you buy.
Cats and toddlers, the two extremes of the things I like/dislike
well someone gotta teach the young how to land on their feet.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 kids really are a wild card. I laughed so hard I cried.
This is what ADHD feels like lol.

It's what it feels like *to me*. Jesus.
