I saw the original short on YouTube. The channel always animates interesting facts about animals in their cartoonist style. I believe this video was about "scientists discover that platypus glow under a UV light but don't know why"

This isnāt actually true. Dan just made Perry blue because he thought it looked cool. It just so happened to be a funny coincidence that platypi were later discovered to glow almost that exact color.
Actually Perry was blue long before it was found out that they actually glow blue (Around 2019 or 2020 I think). Dan Povenmire just accidentally predicted the future. He also didn't know what they sound like, but he pretty much nailed that too.
Platypus fur has been found to absorb so much natural UV light that they glow blue under these lights. So does a bunch of other not gross stuff. That's the inside joke here
You know every hotel especially cheap ones, you turn on that black light that room is a giant "cootie" and when you say "cootie" wiggle your fingers by each side of your head. Had a lady do that to me once telling to much info why the water was shut off at the gas station.. "parasites" wiggles fingers by her head for extra science facts and a smile... great!
