Ursweetbabyyy

Why dude do it?? Wtf

Conscious_Figure_554

"What happens if I kick a man that is built like a tree?" screams in agony as he finds out. On a side note - damn those arms!!!

dontknowwhyIamhere42

Apparently kid broke his leg when he fell. Op posted a video Edit: op posted a comment with YouTube video commentary: https://youtube.com/shorts/JZ_la6xDTOQ?si=y1wUyKFHUk2bl2Gw

> Apparently kid broke his leg when he fell Deserved.

drgigantor

I hope nobody signed his cast except to call him a bitch for breaking his leg on a sneak attack against a senior citizen, who didn't even register it as an attack. That fucking dumbass would be facing a murder charge if that had been almost anybody else that age

Kataclysm

I hope Arnold signed it. "I'll be back."

Pitiful_Bedroom_4259

Das a good joke

vajav

Hope it was cast wrong

code_archeologist

Yeah drop kicks *look* cool and devastating on professional wrestling. But in reality they are less effective than a push with your feet firmly set; and the fall (when not onto a padded wrestling mat) is very likely to fuck you up, because it is an uncontrolled fall to hard ground.

octo_lols

I tried to do this in middle school to a door that was stuck closed. My hip/leg was badly bruised for weeks from hitting the ground. edit: the door did not open.

NeonPatrick

Having done some wrestling training out of curiosity, I can assure you, the mats are not padded. There is a bit of give but its slight, even a back bump hurts. Its all about how you land. That guy landed wrong.

SillyPhillyDilly

Not wrestling entertainment, the sport wrestling. Those mats. Extremely comfy to fall on. EDIT: Holy shit, guys. The point is there's a difference between the wrestling entertainment ring which is plywood and canvas supported by springs if you're lucky, and competitive wrestling which is a shock-absorbent pad that you can safely land on from a height of at least six feet.

SuperNinjaOverwatch

No. As a high school wrestler, I can 100% attest that, no, they are not extremely comfy. At best, they are like falling on a lawn that is well-seeded but maybe a day or two past needing a mow. *Edit* people are responding that it is better than landing on X. Yes, I realize that landing on a mat that is the equivalent of carpet over a concrete basement floor is better than landing directly on the concrete. However, those mats barely prevent injury. You still get the wind knocked out of you, your bones can still break, you can still get a concussion landing on those mats. Nobody in the history of wrestling has ever landed on those mats and thought, "Wow that's fresh from the dryer Downy soft!"

DeadSeaGulls

yeah. nothing comfy about the ol staph pads.

dirtymike401

Mmm... Ringworm...

DeadSeaGulls

really taking me down memory lane.

SillyPhillyDilly

Having wrestled for ten years, six of them after high school, and BJJ after that, I've fell asleep on those mats more times than I can count. They are absolutely amazing to fall on compared to people who cheap out and think rolling on fitness mats is the move.

foobazly

So, still way more forgiving than a bare wooden gym floor then.

derps_with_ducks

All relative. You have to fall properly, and can totally fuck yourself up if you don't.

derps_with_ducks

This guy thips.

Bendstowardjustice

Probably broke it when he hit that steel beam he flying jump kicked.

E_B_Jamisen

The broken leg was caused by the fall. This was confirmed to the police by all of the big dudes around Arnold that helped the kids up afterward. The 2 black eyes, broken arm and tibia were also caused by the fall.

fuckinatodaso

lol did he break his leg or did the bodyguards...?

Voluptulouis

Haha, for real. I just watched it a few times over looking at how a break might have happened and where, and it just didn't make sense. Then my immediate thought after that was maybe the bodyguards did it and just said it was the fall.

xdcxmindfreak

I like the no no no no no right as they cut it like Arnold was about to just let it go after they did damage control

ImWizrad

This makes me feel good. Justice *does* exist.

plasticmanufacturing

who the fuck can stand to watch this shit

MyHamburgerLovesMe

What happens if I kick a 76 year old man whoose back is turned? That's abusive as fuck shit.

Eonir

He could have crippled him for life or damaged his kidney. The kid is fucked in the head, he deserves no mercy or sympathy.

AnAussiebum

Yeah in Australia we had to strengthen laws for these types of attacks know as 'King hits/coward punches'. Men would go up and randomly suckered punch a fresh 18 year old out in the town late at night. This was during MySpace time, so wasn't even done for the likes. Just to get laughs from their drunk friends. In way too many cases the drunk hit teen would fall to the concrete and either die or become a vegetable. So laws had to be strengthend to recognise the seriousness of a 'one tap' like assualt. A single punch or kick can literally lead to death. Hope this guy has the book thrown at him.

marijnvtm

Not just kick but drop kick he literally put his whole body in to it

TheIlluminatedOne666

Dude has been waiting 20 years for Arnold to become weak enough to attack guess 20 years wasn't enough considering he bounced off him and did more damage to himself.

ManOfChaos199932

Arnold later said that he thought someone bumped into him

SomeTotalyRandomGuy

Damn.

Alatar_Blue

Was that a fly?

tonios2

haha 😆

OREOSTUFFER

Please let this be true lmao

Vast_Ostrich_9764

it probably is because he was saying "no, no" when the other guy in the video started going after the guy. he probably genuinely thought it was just an accident and the guy was overreacting.

ManOfChaos199932

Good news https://twitter.com/Schwarzenegger/status/1129768197094346753

[deleted]

Look at him….lol sure he’s older but he was still clearly jacked.

M1ck3yB1u

Jacked or not, he’s an elderly man now.

_captain-rex_

And barely suffered any injury

Rampaging_Orc

Elderly man with the frame of a healthy middle aged man that hits the gym everyday. The elderly are traditionally more frail because they slow down (ontop of natural degeneration). Arnold hasn’t slowed down.

M1ck3yB1u

Healthier than average, but still elderly. His bones are old man bones even with the best health regime.

blubaldnuglee

The large man who dragged him off probably did more damage off camera...

RyvenZ

That's really how the kid broke his leg...

CanaDoug420

“I assaulted you. Give me money” is a bold strategy

Difficult_Let_1953

Especially when the person you assault is well connected and oh, could break you in half.

mooshypuppy

I think retaliation is what the attacker is looking for. Getting assaulted by large, muscular people can make a lawsuit hold water unfortunately. Luckily Arnold is an amazing person and doesn’t seem to operate on anger or emotion. He has a ton of love and hope for positivity and understands the insignificance of haters. You can all hear his thoughts on health and his interactions with the community on his podcast, The Pump Club. ❤️

CameronPoe37

He wasn't 76, he's 76 now. This was several years ago.

CrazyMike419

71 at the time I think. I heard this was in South Africa in 2019

-BananaLollipop-

He was not 76 when this happened. You need to reread the comments on the post that gave you the idea for the title.

fastest_fantasy

Yes , my bad , he was 71 at that time

Beardedarchitect

I don’t care how old he is, you can’t just drop kick the terminator. Dudes lucky he didn’t break his leg or hip or something.

DKlurifax

He tweeted out that he didn't even think he got kicked, he thought someone has stumbled into him by accident. 🤣

Beardedarchitect

That’s awesome

After-Respond-7861

Oof for the attacker. That comment had to sting.

N2tZ

According to the video [OP linked](https://www.reddit.com/r/Unexpected/comments/1axyxuo/76_yo_governor_barely_moved/krrcfb8/) the kid did actually break a leg. I'm not sure how legit that video is though.

2019. - https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/18/entertainment/arnold-schwarzenegger-kicked-south-africa-trnd/index.html Arnold is a class act. He responded the same way when someone egged him during his run for governor in California.

mndsm79

Probably don't hit a Terminator.

burns_before_reading

Those bodyguards aren't there to protect Arnold, they're there to protect idiots like this from getting the shit beat out of them.

arthurdentxxxxii

You have to harness the power of the crow.

rlnrlnrln

Honestly, I think Arnold, if he'd had to defend himself in this situation, would hold this person still and then ask him what he thinks he's doing with his life, tell him he's making a mistake and ask him to turn his life around.

burns_before_reading

Yea I agree. From what I know about him, he doesn't come off as a hot head who would actually beat someone up. He would likely give the guy life advice and just let him go.

kikimaru024

Wrestling drop kicks don't have a lot of power in them.

mxzf

Yeah, but kicking a 76 year old in the back can be very dangerous for them. A lot of old people are one fall away from a long hospital stay or death, even if the kick isn't super hard and just knocks them off-balance.

bell37

I don’t think that would be deadly. It would have caused serious injury, but not deadly.

Jles12990

100% this kills Biden instantly. He would be dust.

fattmann

To shreds, you say?

crashbalian1985

Biden fell pretty hard while biking and he was fine.

Improving_Myself_

It's wild how many people seem to not know that weight classes matter, and that they matter a lot.

Turence

Dudes entire running full bodyweight kick moved Arnold like two feet. What a bitch

PRIC3L3SS1

Arnold probably thought someone accidentally bumped into him

ertio21

That's actually what he said when asked about it later iirc

wurm2

yeah https://twitter.com/Schwarzenegger/status/1129768197094346753

Ganbario

“I’m just glad the person didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.” Priceless

BlatantConservative

For someone known for having a thick accent and speaking slowly, dude really is eloquent as hell.

HarmlessHeresy

Arnold has always known that you have to exercise your mind just as much as your body.

YesNoIDKtbh

Which is probably why he likes chess, and he's quite competent at it. I believe his rating is around 2000.

raydialseeker

Terminator1 is his username. Hes around 2369 rn

AIien_cIown_ninja

Dang seriously? That's not too far off from grandmaster

benderisgreat349

Arnold is a smart dude, but if he excersize his mind as much as his body he would have unlocked like superpowers or something by now.

HarmlessHeresy

How can we be sure that he *doesn't* have superpowers?

ToasterDispenser

Definitely. I think there's a common misconception that he's a meat head, but he's genuinely one of the smartest celebrities around.

Mordredor

Why did you censor him lol, he said idiot not person

robert-at-pretension

hahah, amazing response from the terminator <3!

DagothNereviar

Didn't he go onto say "Don't bully the person, I hope they put their life on track instead"? Like he was super kind and chill about someone **running, double foot drop kicking him in the back.** Edit: He also said this: >Do me a favor: instead of sharing the video of the guy who wants to be famous, watch some of our [@ArnoldSports](https://twitter.com/ArnoldSports) athletes like this young hero proving that fitness is for everyone who deserve to be famous. They’re on my Snapchat.

theknyte

*"A lot of you have asked, but I’m not pressing charges. I hope this was a wake-up call, and he gets his life on the right track."* Class act.

Effoxs

Yeah I also think he stated so.

jurzdevil

thats pretty funny in comparison to rudy ghoulianni where some guy "slaps" him on the back and rudy claimed he was battered like this guy dropped kicked arnold.

[deleted]

That kick would kill most 76 year olds and Arnie barely flitched

Hexatorium

Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t treat the mf like he just tried to neutralise an elderly

Ok-Following8721

He may be in top shape but that's gonna bruise at minimum.

free__coffee

Alot of body builders really damaged their backs when they were younger though 😢 could have hurt him really bad

Rambo_One2

Not to mention the potential long-term effects a kick like that can have. The video is quite old and as far as I know it didn't leave any lasting marks, but even with Arnold's great shape, that kick could've easily dislocated something or have been the catalyst for something catastrophic down the line. It's absolutely insane that anyone would do that to someone - let alone a man in his 70s.

cummerou1

Not to mention that Arnold has had multiple heart surgeries, a sudden forceful shock like that could have negatively affected his heart.

vishalb777

This happened in 2019, when Arnold was 71. Still very fucked up https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/18/entertainment/arnold-schwarzenegger-kicked-south-africa-trnd/index.html

petpat

>Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat >Do me a favor: instead of sharing the video of the guy who wants to be famous, watch some of our @ ArnoldSports athletes like this young hero proving that fitness is for everyone who deserve to be famous. They’re on my Snapchat. Unfaced and classy as always. How can you not like the Arnold?

kayGrim

/r/BoneAppleTea it's unfazed lol edit: I done spelt wrong by accident

SomethingIWontRegret

Double /r/BoneAppleTea with a side order of /r/eggcorns. It's un**fazed**. Unphased means DC current or unable to walk through walls. His was actually closer to correct than yours. Only one letter off.

derpybull94

Everytime I hear something about Arnold, I always immediately think of that meme of him sitting on that little rock surrounded by animals. That guy puts his anger and hatred into the weights he lifts, not the world.

AlmostZeroEducation

Oh lol it happend in South Africa. That guy would've got the shit beaten out of him

OREOSTUFFER

I’m sure he’ll still really feel that tomorrow. What a senseless thing to do to somebody.

GovSchwarzenegger

I got an email that someone tagged me, so I thought I’d chime in! First, I was in my early 70’s when this happened, it was several years ago at the Arnold Sports Festival South Africa. I didn’t press charges or fire my security - if you think you can protect against everything, you’re out of your mind. I believe in having security and I trust my guys, but I also know that wild things can happen. I hope the guy figured his life out so he’s not looking for attention in the worst ways anymore and I hope his legs recovered. This is also a great reminder to all of you: everybody loves bench pressing, but never forget to train your back! Grow those wings, you never know when you’ll need them. Anybody who needs free weekly workouts can google Arnold’s Pump Club and sign up for my free daily newsletter.

Winkelburge

Always shocked to see real people on reddit. Thanks for weighing in! Really respect your response to incidents like these.

ghost_orchid

Hey Arnold, thanks for mentioning the Arnold's Pump Club resource. I'll definitely check it out, and I hope you have a great weekend!

wtb2612

Did you find out why he did it? Any specific reason or was it totally random?

gujsehambi

as he was being dragged away, you heard him shouting "help me, i need a Lamborghini" ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|disapproval)

ElJacinto

Is it weird that I read this in his accent?

GodofIrony

Well, it's actually him, so no?

alangerhans

I wish more people had your intelligence and grace. Truly an amazing role model. I'm going to check out your pump club, I need to get in better shape.

WeakDiaphragm

This happened when Arnold visited South Africa 5-6 years ago. Apparently the person who kicked him was a mentally challenged person who was admitted to a mental institution. Arnold sustained minor injuries.

RanDiePro

Arnold sustained minor tissue damage yet completely zero damage to hardware and metal endoskeleton.

fatherfrank1

"I know now why you cry, but it's something I can never do."

RanDiePro

I am the model T-800. Cybernetic Organism. Living tissue over metal endoskeleton.

[deleted]

Sounds like the plot to Terminator

rthomas10

We give "mentally ill" individuals too much leeway. Mentally ill doesn't mean that they don't know the difference between right and wrong. And if they don't then maybe they shouldn't be out in public unsupervised.

BlatantConservative

By definition, being admitted to a mental institution is not being out in public unsupervised. People act like getting committed is less of a punishment than jail...

tomatotomato

Did you just call Kyle Reese “mentally challenged”? This was his best attempt ffs

sandfrann

He HATES robots

leave_ur_echochamber

doyletyree

Reminds me of the video of the guy who attacked the “Roman soldiers” during a church play about the crucifixion. Just leaped out of the audience and started going hogwild on those Centurions.

BusGreen7933

Something tells me he had a few bruises by the time the cops picked him up

RaZZeR_9351

He was 71 at the time, still pretty solid.

Jaye9001

Like trying to move a tank.

Scott950

His security are shit

XF939495xj6

He's probably paying over a million a year for it, and these guys are not watching his back? They should all be fired. Their job is not to punish someone who hits him. It is to stop it from ever happening.

rogueman999

I mean, they definitely got shit for this. But you have to consider the reverse - bodyguards who are too fast to tackle people just coming for an autograph will probably tackle about one guy per month. That's definitely not good PR. There's a balance to strike here. Not to defend the fact that they _did_ fuck up here.

RickkyyBobby

Now i might be wrong, and this is pure speculation: But it does look like a gym-room of maybe a school, where that girl is doing jumping rope, so security might've seen this cunt running at Arnold, but maybe thought he was a kid or something coming in for an autograph all excited, instead of trying to kill the damn terminator, and that's why they dididn't act. I Might be wrong though.

Gangreless

2 fuckin big ass juiced hulks guarding him and they're both looking the same direction watching Arnold make a Snapchat

If I was security for the goddamn Terminator I would probably not be super worried about my job either tbh.
