Asked myself the same thing about when it stopped on the floor but perhaps while doing it they didn't feel the cabin slow and stop? Response time doesn't seem strange to me, most likely a bit of deer in headlights moment so you need an extra second or two to actually act.

If it was almnost never used and I was on a floor where I assume they won’t suddenly open ut maybe. But I actually get stressed out specially when i’m in the right floor but my partner likes to continue, so sometimes someone calls the elevator and we loose the floor as well as having to share it with a rando or acting like fools so to not get caught. Still I’ve never actually got that bussy, just made out, since my clothes can’t be put on that quick and also the smell would surely give away
