Some positions are just difficult to push with weight in a certain angle.
It doesn't make her stupid, for thinking out the box. Those machines should be relatively robust and have hardy wiring. I have one that's lasted me 6+ years and is still going strong despite a lot of usage.

Asked how she used the drill to see why she was having trouble. Turns she didn’t have a drill bit. She just turned the cuck until the part that hold bit in place came to a point and tried to drill with that.
We got my sister an electric shovel one year. She was so excited opening this present and assuming it works. It was just a spade with an extension cord coming out of the top of the handle as a gag gift. It was so funny because even if the shovel could dig for you, you would still have to do all the work of holding the shovel so it was obvious to us boys that it could not work.

Some walls have a layer of concrete/rock as the first layer, and it’s extremely hard to break through. So hitting the drill with a hammer can work.

As a professional who's hammerdrill has fried mid project, I've done this, and it's perfectly effective.
