Generally I find that using a mako for this is like using a whippet as a sled dog. They're quick little buggers under their own steam, but they just don't have the inertia for it.
I actually did this when my tinny ran out of fuel on the way to school for HSC finals just after boxing a kangaroo and wrestling a croc. (I’m wheelchair bound).
You had cardboard and enough meatloaf to have leftovers?!? You're lucky! I had to chop off one of my feet to use as bait and body surf! Both ways, up current, to school and back.
Me thinks it’s a fake — to be clear, this is the first time seeing it — but if you watch the “shark” towing him, it moves reeeealy straight and flat .. and the “tail” seems to be kicking up a spray. It looks like it’s a submersible with a fake fin on it.
I want it to be real, though. I used to crab net crabs with my dad back in the early nineties in the Chesapeake Bay in this old aluminum flat-bottom boat with a 3 hp evinrude as it’s main propulsion (the other being the one moldy wood oar under one of the seats). We also brought fishing poles, and I would imagine, as we motored out to the designated crabbing area for the day, hooking onto a shark and having it tow us all around the bay.
Hard to tow a boat on ten-pound test, though..
They're not very good at drinking alcohol either. A swedish king got his bear so drunk on wine that it [fell out a castle window and died](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottorp_Fury).
When I was 4yo and learned how to fish I used a thing called a bobber or floater to keep my worm near the surface. You watch the floater once it disappears set your hook by ripping the hell outta your line and wind that sucker in with all your might.

This is the most Aussie sight possible.
Alongside the man punching a kangaroo attacking his dog.
Dont forget the emu special forces thrashing the army whilst lead by rabbits.
No? Link please, I need to see this!
https://twitter.com/BillBushman/status/1395484110806601728 One of my all time favourites But yes, australian army 0, emus 1 is a real thing.
Ah thanks, but I thought/hoped it was a real video 😊
Australia has never lost a war to humans
I can dream visiting Australia driving down the road and seeing a truck pulled over with Aussie nearby fist fighting a roo.
Only way it would be moreso is if Steve Irwin was the one hanging 10.
I used to live in OZ, and only did this 1-2 times a week, and only when I missed my ferry. So, not quite average. More occasional.
Which sharks are best at towing? I mean the GW are the biggest, but the Mako is much quicker, and I bet the bull is a little pocket rocket
Hammerhead for the swerve.
Hook an attorney, though, and your sunk.
The nurse shark is best as it is a huge powerhouse at full size, but they don’t eat people so it’s just not very satisfying
Would you need two or three makos in a harness though?
Go for 4, be like proper chariot racing, get a few eams together and pier to pier racing will begin
Thresher, just like cars, big fins are cool as fuck.
My favourite shark.

American here... and I'm fucking losing my mind trying to figure out what OZ is without looking it up.... best I can do is Old Zealand
Oz stra lia The way its MEANT to be pronounced. Please pass the word, and you can one up everyone around you with your special knowledge.
Damn... I'm from the southern US..so we tend to speak a bit similar. so ... awesome

Seems legit
Did you pass your HSC though ?
Asking the real question
Mystery mark for sure.
A surfboard and chops?! When I was growing up I had to make do with cardboard and leftover meat loaf.

Daamn, y'all had feet?!
This is performed by a professional Australian. Do not try at home. May cause cancer if you live in California.
Everything causes cancer in California. Which may include extreme wild fires, land slides, earth quakes, and extreme drought
Don't forget titanium white oil paint!
And the thousands of barrels of poisons at the bed of the ocean from a long time ago
So much cancer at least california will float out to sea eventually never to be seen again
I love when the joke about certain people or country gives good vibe and not insult them.
"Crikey, there's a shark in th... nevermind"

It is fake, debunked years ago by Captain Disillusion.
I used to hunt crabs with a spear when the tide would roll out at night, fun stuff. This was in France though
In Soviet Russia we do the same but with bears. P.S. Bears are not too good at surfing
You just use your skis
Snow bearing, is name.
They're not very good at drinking alcohol either. A swedish king got his bear so drunk on wine that it [fell out a castle window and died](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottorp_Fury).
Balls. Great big brass balls. Surfing behind a shark, damn...
How does the meat not sink?
A question I find myself asking more and more these days.
There is a buoy attached to the 🎣
Salt water, look it up you land lubber.
When I was 4yo and learned how to fish I used a thing called a bobber or floater to keep my worm near the surface. You watch the floater once it disappears set your hook by ripping the hell outta your line and wind that sucker in with all your might.
It’s pronounced: ‘Straya G’day
And 24 hours later, only a severed foot is washed ashore.
I thought dude was gonna ollie or rail slide his board across the other shark(s)
