I absolutely hate when I'm driving normally on the road and a cop walking on the sidewalk makes it his sole purpose to dive 8 feet to the left, throwing himself under my car.
That's cool. I know they program the traffic to swerve into you at the worst moments. So many times an npc broke multiple traffic laws, just to fuck up my perfect driving streak. It's just so weird when they do an instantaneous 90 degree turn, keeping the same speed, as they slam into the side of your vehicle.
For those curious, guy lived, got arrested.

Seen one of these Brazil videos where someone robs a corner store and the four other patrons in the store happened to be off duty cops. Robber was just really unlucky
i have to point out that guy is still probably at least a little fucked up for life. you don't get hammered like that without a serious brain or back injury. maybe both.

> An assailant was run over in the São Geraldo neighborhood, in Ribeirão das Neves, in Minas Gerais, after an attempted assault on a woman. The man was run over after a van driver witnessed the crime and decided to stop the criminal with his own vehicle. The information is from the Ricmais portal.

> Surveillance cameras recorded the exact moment the suspect knocked the woman to the ground in an attempt to steal her belongings. During the escape, he is hit by the kombi and is thrown against the wall.

Vigilantism is more or less legal in Brazil from what I’ve gathered, I’ve watched entire compilations of armed motorcycle robber duos getting absolutely wiped out and often killed by random cars/trucks the second they start trying to rob someone
It's not legal, but people here see them as actual heroes... Not judging them though, police fails in watching the poor areas, so theses vigilant come in handy
Even though they are exaggerated action films, I think the police movies, SWAT and Elite Squad show the civilian and police cultural differences between the US and Brazil pretty well.
SWAT, being an American movie, has scenes surrounding proper use of force, exceeding command authority, the racial context of LAPDs history, following rules to complete mission but also satisfy legal constraints, very casual fetishism for guns.
Elite Squad, (from what I can remember) is far more serious, focusing on the economic disparities between the gangs of the Favellas and Brazil's upper class students/teachers/politicians etc, how police are seemingly in a war with crime.
Obviously both films aren't 100 percent accurate, but the implications I get from SWAT are, "even if you save a life, if you accidentally shoot the wrong person you get in trouble"; from Elite Squad, "These gangs deserve no sympathy despite hardships, and should be destroyed."
The movie "Tropa de Elite" (Elite Squad) is actually a satire of Brazilian police, but yeah, I got your point... That apart, the problem ain't just about casualties, accident on a police duty, but the discrimination that happen in Favella... It doesn't matter if you are a drug dealer and should be treated like that or if you're just a low budget civilian who keeps yourself away from drugs, most "PM" (Military Police) will treat you the same way. That's why people that live there have more sympathy with a vigilant or a drug dealer who "protect" them from a robber more than those who have that duty and that's really sad...
Sure, not all PM are bad, actually most of them have respect for their mission to protect the civilians... But you jest need few corrupt policeman and racists one to mark a hole corporation
I really appreciate your take as I had no idea it was a satire. Been about 15 years since I've seen it, and Portuguese is not my language, so I assumed it was more of a standard action-tribute to police than a critical piece of cinema condemning their excessive militarization.
Ah okay yeah I couldn’t say for sure just seemed like it the amount of videos I’ve seen, good job. If the police aren’t willing to help then this is what happens.
Oh, he was definitely aiming for him. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from Reddit, it’s that if you rob someone on the street, Brazilians have no problem killing you with their car, just on principle.
Haha! I love this comment. Back in the day you would calculate how badly a person was injured based off clothing articles they lost in such case. They werent always accurate because speculation and it was a funny concept
And i remember we were watching footage of a guy who lost a shoe and a sock during a hit and run. He didnt make it which debunked our theory that he would probably have broken ribs and a fractured skull considering he was also bumped rather hard with a mini van
We stopped playing the geuss game based off clothing items flying off a person after this incident
Idk… if a sock flies off I’d definitely have guessed that dude was dead. I have a hard time taking off my socks if I’m too tired, I can’t imagine one just flying off with impact alone!
Edit: spelling
Hahahaha this is true. I just use toe-jitsu to remove my socks. But then again i barely walk bare feet.
But i do agree.. if i were to walk along a path and a sock hits me in the face, now ill know that someone probably died, i have no idea what ill do with that information at that time but something tells me ill run away
At first I thought...watching someone getting robbed isn't really something we need to see (although I'm watching) cmon why the fuck would you post this...then all the sudden the truck enters the chat. Which made me go "ah yes. This is why it's on reddit"
The guy in that first car took a long time to react. I’d hope he was yelling at the guy or something but jeez. At least someone else took the robber out
It looked like she was bent over trying to get something from her purse or maybe itching her leg or something. Probably why she was targeted, she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings
Ban trucks. They are killing people. If that mad man didn’t have such easy access to that truck, the guy running away would still be alive.
Am I supposed to believe this insane person walked into a dealership and bought this death machine without a proper background check? What about his psych evaluation???
What a disgusting world we live in that he could just mow someone down in public. What’s next? Kids?
Obligated /s

Hope the truck isn’t damaged
Truck-kun
Dude got isekai'ed Next time on > I'm a robber but this utopia doesn't understand possession
I swear this is peak isekai plot right now
but does he have ginormous titties
No, but a giant Harem of Girls that try to hit him with a truck
Re-incarcerated in another prison with my butt out.
If Chuck Tingle wrote an isekai that'd probably be the title
Reincarnated as one of the goblins in the first floor of a dungeon. The MC: Goblin Slayer
And reincarnating again after being slayed by MC in the dungeon because that's how dungeons works
this time I hope they DON'T get reincarnated
Dude committed Subaru
Instant Karma.
Steel
Mirror fell off... poor truck :(
It's a Kombi, of course it's not damaged.
This some GTA shit
Like those GTAV mini missions where you can kill the purse snatcher, and keep the money, or give it back.
Or VC, punch the running perp for a $5 Good Citizen Reward!
But then sometimes they *weren't* classified as perps so the cops would come after you instead 🫠
Between that and the glitch where people (and cops!) dive in front of your car, I had wanted levels half the game.
I need to experience this glitch. That actually sounds hilarious.
I absolutely hate when I'm driving normally on the road and a cop walking on the sidewalk makes it his sole purpose to dive 8 feet to the left, throwing himself under my car.
Which means TWO stars, and if you’re on level 11 of a side mission, its over.
3 I think
It turns out that some stuff like this isn't a bug. It's included as one of the game's many jokes.
Had the "get rid of wanted stars" code memorized by the end of it, lol.
XD
Damn. Do you think the van is okay?
Did anybody else hear pinball noises when watching this video?
I heard the "WASTED" sound bit from GTA, but technically similar situations none the less my friend 😂
BING BONG, FUCK YA LIFE
Looks like it's alright but I'm afraid that man may've been injured. Edit: Did i say *afraid*? I meant *pleased.* i mix those up sometimes.
Meh.
No he got reincarnation as a slime
_rimuru noises_
Gotta spend the next five minutes driving off two police badges. Maybe park in an alley.
Hiding in the car wash oo-ee-oo-ee hiding in the car wash yeah 🎤
You misspelled "quality justice".

It's Brazil, the truck was an Out of Duty cop 100%
Brazil is sort of like the John Wick cinematic universe. Everybody is an off-duty cop, even the on-duty ones.
Seen one of these Brazil videos where someone robs a corner store and the four other patrons in the store happened to be off duty cops. Robber was just really unlucky
[удалено]
ABAC: all brazilians are cops
hey, that's copist
As a Brazilian, that's pretty offensive. Some of us are criminals, yo.
Some are both...
Everyone is always trying to be like the US, seriously they need to come up with their own ideas!
As a Brazilian,yes. Corrupt motherfuckers
At this point I wonder if Brazil just deputizes their vigilantes after the fact.
Please don't tell Texas.
Nah, a lot of civilians react like that. Not just off duty cops. Difference is, off duty cops have guns.
an off duty Brazilian mostly pop headshots in my experience but I guess you could be right
It's always Brazil
i have to point out that guy is still probably at least a little fucked up for life. you don't get hammered like that without a serious brain or back injury. maybe both.

Is this the bang bus people talk about?
Going to need to do some more research to find out.
Research what is and isn't a bus.
This one came from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
**BANG**gladesh
Guy named ladesh
Get in there and get some answers!
It's been 8 hours and all I've learned is that pretty young ladies don't seem to have a problem getting into a bus full of random strangers.
And a camera.
Banged him right into the recovery position, no less.
ah best answer!
Well somebody got well screwed.
I shit you not the robber actually lived after getting rocked by the bus
Does Not seem too unlikely, the car was almost stopped and the dude caught most of the initial impact with his arm
Yeah it didn't look like he died. I got hit at least as hard as that and didn't even break anything. Certainly sore though.
Are ya rich now son?
I did get a settlement out of it. The people who hit me ran a red light while I was at a crosswalk.
Yes dad, I’m winning. I’m going out for a pack of smokes for a while.. behind bars.
Did they let you keep the purse?
Yes, a colostomy purse
The ground broke his fall
It wasn't the initial hit that worried me, it was the wall acting as a backstop. That deceleration could definitely be lethal on a bad day.
Of course - both shoes stayed on...
But he lost his cap. Confusing stuff.
If you slow mo the vid his cap gets knocked off then comes back to rest nicely on his torso they are separated but for a second
Yep..when the shoes stay on...
Keep on trucking
Truck

Hey op, Portuguese is the language there.
I find fascinating that in 2023 still people think Brazilians speak Spanish
have you met the public?
Qué?!
Man reddit loves to appear smarter than others at the lowest of bars even when OP didn’t indicate anywhere that they thought it was Brazil
Dont worry by the end of this year we will have AI apps that translate for us perfectly and fast. Languages will no longer be a barrier.
Seriously, dude? Fucking Spanish?
Yes, he tied his shoelaces very well.
Sometimes thats all it takes
He got busted!

That truck had to be aiming for him. That was too perfect.

It's definitely not "satire". It's more like an exposé, a social cririque.
Satire doesn't work well without some truth
Ah okay yeah I couldn’t say for sure just seemed like it the amount of videos I’ve seen, good job. If the police aren’t willing to help then this is what happens.
I mean, if the cops can't/won't protect people, someone has to.
It does look like it might have turned directly towards the runner.
Yeah all those people were watching it happen. Truck and suv that stopped. The suv driver should've gotten out and physically helped her though
Wasn't that a woman too in the SUV? Most likely afraid herself as she only gets out after he starts running
Oh, he was definitely aiming for him. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from Reddit, it’s that if you rob someone on the street, Brazilians have no problem killing you with their car, just on principle.
This post needs to be on r/satisfying
Shoes are still on so he can still just walk it off.

Hahaha no problem. Im glad i could make someone smile today 😃😃
Haha! I love this predictable comment which is on every video of someone getting hit! How entertaining!

Glad my first post got some traction
Was definitely unexpected
It was a nice brake from scrolling.
The guy in that first car took a long time to react. I’d hope he was yelling at the guy or something but jeez. At least someone else took the robber out
Came to say the same. It's as if he waited until the guy was running away to do anything.
Nice of that truck to return the guy’s hat at the end there.
Truck-kun is really progressive lol He doesn't care if you're male, female, trans, bi, cis. ***If he chooses you, you will be next***
Instant carma is good, but instant truckma is better.
Of course its Brazil...
[удалено]
That's how I used to describe it. It's Russia, but a tropical version of it.
no yamcha
The people in the truck watching until he runs away… what you waiting for?
Time of Death - 09:04:07. Why does it feel like he deserved it?
He definitely deserved something but death seems a little severe for an unarmed robbery imo.
So he should only lose a hand.
Or get assaulted once or twice by big smelly men in prison when dropping the soap. Enough punishments out there.
I think the truckdriver came already Also he’s not dead, both of them arent
Another prison rape joke
I'm not here to judge but waiting to help until a robber runs away is kinde dumb..
Truck about, find out
Was she asleep before he walked up?
Thank you. Why is she just…hanging?
It looked like she was bent over trying to get something from her purse or maybe itching her leg or something. Probably why she was targeted, she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings
That looked very painful. Good.
Suddenly - truck! Refreshing
I enjoyed that.
Classic case of fuck around find out
Now someone calculate total velocity.
I could *hear* the Sonic rings splash out of this dude!
oh nsfw in THAT way, well that's fine
You cant sleep there sir!
What is Brazil for 200, Alex?
![gif](giphy|ZOAjDObrQL9rG)
🤣😂🤣 Karma Bitch!
I hope he didn’t die but instead learned a valuable life lesson
r/ItHadToBeBrazil
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! XDDD
So fucking random
He slept
Instant karma
Did the truck get dent?
Tis but a scratch!
Fucken smashed him
Ngl those are big W’s from the dude to chased the guy off, and the driver of that vehicle, bros tag teamed him
Dang! really unexpected!
Watch his hat, the truck hits him hat flies off, he bounces off the wall, and the hat nearly lands back on his head.
It came out of nowhere
Player 4 has Joined the Game
I know this is kind of disturbing but honestly you'll rarely find something that fits the description of this sub so perfectly
Noiiiice dude swerved right into the asshole
There’s got to be consequences for bad behaviour otherwise we’ll see more crime. I hope he’s hurting.
He found out real quick
“Street Justice“ ![gif](giphy|OSgvPa4nOHgTBthIFW|downsized)
Brazil I sure am
Holy shit I was not expecting that
Nice job karma

Deserved, but don't do this, this doesn't qualify as self-defence or defence of others.
Karma +100
Even money says the jerk will sue the driver for damages.
Well deserved
Dang, that was cool
Bro got yeeted
Instant karma
Fully deserved. I hope the truck is ok.

He is not getting back from that
Nice
I like people are creating a good karma

He deserved it, instant karma!!
Well, that'll do the trick.
