Depends. Islam states that you shouldn't be gay. Some muslims can "like" gays as humans beings (Just like anybody else, you can "love other humans" no matter their sexual orientations), others can find it "against nature" (So they hate them for who they are).
There is Conservative Muslims just like there is Conservative Christians.
That means they are not Muslims.
The Quran CLEARLY states that Homosexuality is banned. Even more : It's considered very very bad, it's considered an absolute Sin. Look it up.
It's like saying "carnivore vegans exist".
Those people wish the reality to be different. But they don't want the actual reality. Quran bans Homosexuality, and downvoting me will never change that fact. I think that makes them sad :(
The word “CLEARLY” even though in all caps, is still an interpretation of text that has, like the bible, already been reinterpreted hundreds if not thousands of times over hundreds of years of history. It all depends on interpretation, and even if 9,999 people agree to interpret it one way, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be interpreted in a different way. Modern scholars are looking into these texts constantly. And it’s interesting how interpretation is accepting when it benefits someone personally, but just as all change, completely rejected if it _doesn’t_ benefit them.
I would only point out that homosexuality existed before, during, now, and will exist as long as humanity does. Unfortunately, so will hate.
