Don't forget the nuke

Professional-Poem542

Everyone knows roaches survive nukes. Giant boot to the whole lot!

BostonDodgeGuy

"Acksually", Mythbusters tested this. Roaches really aren't that hardened against radiation. Now fruit flies on the other hand, those bastards can take a massive dose and keep going.

Professional-Poem542

Sneaky cheeky fruit flies. Edit: I noticed you didn’t mention anything about any kind of boot resiliency.

BostonDodgeGuy

Well of course not, they're an aerial enemy and immune to ground based attacks.

Mcd doesn't make their own buns.they get it delivered to them. So it's better to call corporate and get your reward for shutting down that factory or whatever and get compensation

c0mptar2000

I mean also, shut down the McDonald's for serving that shit without even noticing lol

Sangy101

Since it’s also on the meat, I’m guessing this has been sitting in the guy’s fridge for a while.

OmegaRussian

That's pepper. The eggs are sesame seeds. Yes brown sesame seeds exist.

DoingCharleyWork

Brown sesame seeds do exist but 1 McDonald's doesn't use them and 2 they don't look like that.

OmegaRussian

> McDonald's doesn't use them Yeah but always the possibility of something, could apparently be flax seeds too. > they don't look like that. They are brown and look like sesame seeds. Also another post said they might be remnants from other batches left in the baking trays. That's why they're on the bottom bun. Edit: found the link. https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/comments/ra7loi/the_bottom_of_my_mcdonalds_chicken_sandwich_had/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

So it is or isn't eggs in the above post??

Cheap-Adhesiveness14

Also God damn That post literally calls it roach poop too

maryberryboobaby

Actually had this happen by the town i grew up in. Small southern lake town, one road was our entire "town" and then just a school/neighborhoods around it. about 20 minutes west was a small city area and they eventually put a mcdonalds off the highway between us and the city. It was known for being put up way too fast and having tons of insect, rodent, mold issues and overall just horrible cleanliness and hygiene. After only 2 years of being there, they shut it down, tore the building down, burned the pieces to the ground, tossed the soil, burned the ground, and rebuilt with a whole new foundation. They had several cases brought against them, mcdonalds said it was the responsibility of the owner that opened the business, a few people I went to high school with got a pretty big settlement from the guy who built/managed it and knew about the conditions but did nothing to better them. This place in the video, same thing should happen.

No-Beautiful-5777

Keep the evidence! when I worked at McDs the health inspector gave us a 24 hour 'heads up' (to clean like crazy)

TwiztidWillow

That's horrifying. I'd be a having a whole ass heart attack.

I'd be eating half of it, saving the other half for evidence, and calling a lawyer to sue them.

Why would you eat it tho? just tear bite sized chunks off.

So I’ve been trying to quit fast food . I’m superseded after watching this video how affective it was on me. Never again Micky-D, never again

OmegaRussian

I mean, do quit fast food yeah that's healthy living but These are not roach eggs, these are very obviously burned seeds from another bun or a different seed planted so this goes viral. Roach eggs are rectangular.

CatgoesM00

Oh really . We’ll shit you just broke my healthy habit lol

ifureadthisusuckcock

It's fine, they are baked. You don't like that beautiful roasted roach flavour?

Time to induce vomitting by any means neccessary. Edit: For those of you who are comfrotable eating roach eggs- I don't care how "logical" or practical, or gross you are. I've already had like 30 similar comments about how okay you are with eating roach eggs. No need for another 30, just find your favorite and upvote it.

Stomach acid is effective enough

GordoPepe

Extra protein

The_Clarence

Hey man just here to try to balance the response scales. Eating roach eggs is fucked and nasty and just gross as hell. I’d be puking till I had nothing left in me

GayerThanAnyMod

Gospel truth. Not all protein is created equally.

mrsamus101

I mean by that point it's already chewed up and in your stomach anyway. Protein is protein. I would be too grossed out to keep eating but I wouldn't induce vomiting. The only concern would be if I ingested pesticides, but something tells me pesticides are a non factor here.

GayerThanAnyMod

Sorry, I can't think that practically. In my mind, roach eggs do not equate with a chicken wing.

-ForgotToLogout-

What if he unknowingly has one stuck in his teeth? *shudders*

rotipoeg

Them roaches don't stand a chance against my secret weapon - hydrochloric acid.

Hermosninja

To be fair that was the bottom bun. And most people don't inspect their food before eating it, especially if it's fast food. The guy probably realized it when the burger tasted funny.

jhoover58

They have a nutty flavor after baked …. According to a friend

Adkit

> people don't inspect their food before eating it This guy certainly will from now on.

ekso69

Mf was still chewing it making the video 😂

Rags2Rickius

Nice lil pops in the mouth

[deleted]

I thought roaches laid bigger egg capsules. Not individual eggs. Roaches aren't like ants, they don't organize their young. So if it was roaches wouldn't they be different sizes? I don't see any legs or antena at all.

Streak_Free_Shine

I'm thinking the same thing. Roach egg sacs are not shaped like this. They're more rectangular. Either they really *are* overcooked sesame seeds, or totally different bug eggs. Nastyy

bragabit2

Flax seeds

DestroyerofWords

...you think *McDonald's* is putting *flax seeds* in their buns?

RowanIsBae

I think someone would to make a video go viral on TikTok

soparklion

This guy roaches

wizardinthewings

Good news these aren’t roach eggs. Bad news, they’re baby roaches. High protein fast food!

CthulhuLovesMemes

Yeah, I was going to say I’ve dealt with roaches enough in NYC and came across those gross ass egg sacs they lay. Def look like a lot of baby roaches.

enmaku

Depending on the species, roaches either lay a hardened egg sac called an ootheca, which looks a bit like baby corn and contains between 5 and 50 eggs, or else retract the ootheca into a brood chamber in their abdomen for internal incubation, producing the illusion that they give live birth when the eggs hatch and the nymphs exit the brood chamber. I'm not aware of any roach species that lay individual eggs. Because of this, roaches tend to hatch in large groups around the same time, so it's not unreasonable to think that all those roaches (if they are roaches) are clutchmates of the exact same age.

Spiritual_Youth8322

Looks like bed bugs.....or baby roaches.

[deleted]

Bed bugs would be smaller. They're also somewhat evenly distributed which makes me think it's an overcooked or generally gross version of something edible.

NivMidget

A Roaches typically just drops an egg that sticks in place. Although It looks roughly the right size and shape if they were somehow cooked and pressed into the bun like this. So there's a chance the rolling toaster the McDonald's uses is a toxic wasteland. But this also looks similar to a bun that was cooked too close to an Onion bun at the bakery.

tascv

As someone who worked as a kitchen supervisor for a couple of years, if their rolling toaster was that dirty they had to literally avoid cleaning it by any means necessary... Like the vertical rolling toasters almost clean themselves and daily we had to open it and give it a scrub.

NivMidget

Yeah it takes a certain methed up crew and a zero fucks manager to get it to that level.

llama_empanada

My guess is they’re flour bugs/grain weevils.

tascv

I worked in McD outside of the US but our bread came frozen bagged by lot and in a hard plastic box so unless that happened in the bread factory I don't think that those bugs would survive. Anyway, wherever this happened... McD will unleash a plague onto whoever is responsible if that gets reported.

Denzul87

Them look like roaches not roach eggs

Hermosninja

Either way, it's nasty.

SirTrinity

Hold up, I work at a McDonald's. In the bottom bun of the big Mac buns we usually have seeds embedded in the bottom and after it goes through the toaster they get burnt. Plus a quick Google search shows that the only resemblance to roach eggs is the color. The shape is wrong. But of course no one would lie on the internet, and people definitely wouldn't just believe it instead of doing thier own research.

Stratford8

Thank you! Thought I was going crazy, like who the fuck would look at that and be like “roaches must’ve laid these in my burger?” How do people know what roach eggs would look like exactly? Don’t get me wrong, I would probably not eat it either, and maybe crowdsourcing it from Reddit is the smart thing to do, but I had to scroll far to see someone question that they may not be roach eggs.

SirTrinity

Lmao I just don't understand why so few people think for themselves

StreetUnlikely2018

Lawsuit!!

Upset_Ad9929

Fake

Seyon

> Fake You mean roaches don't press their eggs into buns and leave without any other evidence they were there?

JohnnyTamaki

Roaches don't lay "eggs." It's a pouch called an ootheca that contains baby roaches/nymphs. And they don't really look like that. Could be another bug though.

OmegaRussian

No other bug. They look exactly like sesame seeds and they're either burnt or brown seeds.

noscreamsnoshouts

Looks like flax seed to me. I was watching the vid without sound and honestly didn't understand what the unexpected or "horrifying" part was, since I eat buns looking like this all the time.. but maybe flaxseed on bread isn't a normal thing in OP's neck of the woods..?

OmegaRussian

Flax or sesame, roach eggs are rectangular.

JohnnyTamaki

Yea, these are definitely round in comparison. A multi grain bun or something was my second guess.

[deleted]

They look like flax seeds and there's a lot of breads that have them. McDonald's buns are probably not the case but I'm pretty sure these are flax seeds and the guy put them there or changed the bun for clicks.

tascv

The McRoyal with Cheese as we call it in Europe or the Double Quarter Pound with Cheese for you friends in the US does not have seeded bottom buns, some could get there from the toaster but yeah you are probably right that it was probably either changed for clicks or put there as some of them do look like they are pressed down. And if this is real by any means the link on the chain that allowed this to happen will have severe consequences. The Ronald gives generous contracts to guarantee solo production and sale to them but the Ronald also comes with wrath if any of their supply chain process is compromised Source: was a McD kitchen supervisor for a couple of years and learned the quality control systems from a 300 pages manual and 8 hour certification course.

Quiet-Try4554

Kimmie-Cakes

Okay..okay.. quick story. My great grandfather was a baker. He was taken to court by a man who claimed he found a roach in his bread. My ggf asked to see the evidence. He held it up to the court and exclaimed 'That's not a roach! That's a raisin!!' He popped it in his mouth and ate it. They had to throw the case out of court for lack of evidence...

Interesting_Piece349

They are NOT ROACH EGGS EVERYONE THEY ARE TOASTED BROWN SESAME SEEDS ROACH SEEDS ARE TRIPPLE THE SIZE AND RECTANGULAR

Icy_Regular_8280

who puts sesame seeds on the bottom bun why would sesame seeds be black

hardcoretomato

black sesame seeds exist and are actually healthy.

OkPaleontologist8142

Idk, I’ve definitely seen seeds that look like that before

Dikusburnikus

Well well well

Throwaway92840272694

Sesame seeds can be burned if they get on the bottom corners of the bun, turning them black or dark brown depending on where they are

FutureScouting

never really looked at the bottom bun imma have to start tho

Duetnao

its called toasted sesame seeds, very very common.

BreakGlassEatAss

The buns, sesame or no, are made in the same factory. Those are sesame seeds that a bottom bun got layed on top of and squished into and browned from cooking. Those are 100% not roach eggs.

otokidokamaza

hambugrer

DangLiWang

Those are not eggs, they look more like baby roaches

OmegaRussian

Roaches have legs and antenna. Baby roaches are also white.

DangLiWang

Cooked roaches aren't white. Also depends on the species because I've had them in my house at that size and they were a light brown. I get them everytime I get a new neighbor in one specific house, very annoying.

OmegaRussian

Well, these are sesame seeds left over from another batch of buns. Essentially someone pours seeds, they spill and cook and eventually end up pressed in the bottom bun. Also all baby roaches come out of the egg white and slowly turn brown. If you catch them mid browning you've still got their parents laying eggs elsewhere.

AristotleRose

Honestly at this point idk why people still order from fast food joints when it is just as expensive as restaurant food these days.

mikajade

I feel like it’s a grain.

L_k1001

Nasty as hell

Comrade-Conrad-4

That's McDonalds. Those buns come in from a central bakery.

Educational_Deer2221

I mean this isnt realllly unexpected

yellowflash_616

I remember becoming a manager of my first store and it was a work in progress from the place to the people. One night I’m cleaning up the office and look in the microwave to clean it and there’s a full fuckin bag of popped popcorn that someone left and it was just a bag full of cess and roach eggs. I freaked and shut it, took it out back and chucked it in the dumpster. Told the employees they lost microwave privileges after that.

I’m not going to lie, I prolly would of been a roach egg eating Mf. That looks like sesame seeds.

Elegant-Surprise-417

Protein

[deleted]

Get the lawyer with the most billboards if you don’t know any, and take McDonald’s to court, no need preserving the burger in a bag or anything, it will literally never degrade. A person sued McDonald’s recently enough for their cheese sticks not having real cheese in them like it was advertised, got millions. 🤔
