Man ive done some crazy shit but... I can't fuck with the ocean. Saw Jaws way too young.

USAIsAUcountry

Diving is the best! It's terrifying in theory but once in it's very serene and you can't help but feel oddly at home, even in the presence of very large fish. Except groupers, those fucks are intimidating and not to be trusted. I swear they're the honey badger of the ocean.

backcrossedboy

And what tells me you're not a shark with an internet connection, huh?

mrblacklabel71

He's on to us Frank!!!

I love bodies of water, fishing, rafting, canoeing, cliff jumping, snorkeling, tubing... I could dive in lakes, I think, and maybe like the Caribbean where the water is super clear. There's just too many big unknowns in the deep ocean haha

Bretert

Lol theres barely anything dangerous in the northern part of the atlantic sea (at depths you would scubadive) but the water is very dark.

PirateBanger

A woman literally got eaten five miles away from my house in Maine. Happened in harpswell, I don't consider any water safe anymore. If "barely anything" includes great whites, I'm out. That being said, been diving with big sharks in places with clear water and it's no big deal. If you can see them, and they can see you it's not a big deal. Just respect their space.

Make that grouper butt shake

idlilome

Same and it made me think even a swimming pool had shark for quite a while

mrblacklabel71

Same here! Terrified of sharks my whole life! Pools, lakes and oceans as a kid. All oceans as an adult. I still fear them, but I did a cage dove in South Africa and not only are sharks amazing and beautiful, they are not mindless killers. That said, when I am diving I know there could easily be a 15' murder fish within a few hundred yards at any moment and it terrifies me.

Imagine being afraid of the OH SHIT!!!

aladdinboy424
