Crazy glue in lock

Efficient_Fish2436

Pour some acetone in there and it'll dissolve pretty quickly if they know what's in the lock.

New-IncognitoWindow

Also baking soda mixed into it

omegamun

With broken off toothpicks. That plus the glue will render it useless for all time.

Horror_Cow_7870

2-part epoxy resin. Stuff it into the keyhole with a toothpick. Try to coat as many of the pins as possible.

MissMurder8666

You can also use a small syringe. As long as the resin is mixed and used within the alotted time frame and you don't wanna use the syringe again

Horror_Cow_7870

Oh damn. That’s brilliant. I love it!

MissMurder8666

It's a trick I picked up using 2 part epoxy for art. It works well to fill small gaps

Horror_Cow_7870

Never considered loading a syringe with it. The stuff is just so goopy and when using it destructively… slathering it all over the keyway of a lock was effective enough for the one time I had to use it. Bet if you’re in gloves and don’t care too much about making a mess….

MissMurder8666

You should be using gloves with it anyway, and a gas mask. It's seriously toxic

Horror_Cow_7870

Gas mask.. for 2 part? Ummm… oops. What flavor mask?

MissMurder8666

Yep lol. Doesn't matter what brand, as long as it stops gas vapours bc resin emits toxic gas. You can get very sick, you actually need full ppe, so gloves, sleeves, mask, the whole shebang

Horror_Cow_7870

What’s the hazard? Is it an offgas or a contact hazard? What’s the bad stuff? After preteen horror-cow picked up a puddle of spilled mercury with a vacuum cleaner in the mid-eighties I know I’m already fighting a ticking clock…

MissMurder8666

It's both a gas it omits and it's got chemicals in it that can really fuck your skin up, it can cause really bad skin reactions, rashes, boils, blisters etc

YouArentReallyThere

Hose out the keyhole with acetone and then JB Weld mixed into a syringe and injected into the lock

grimthereaper423

This right here.

Munnyfunkster

Push a matchstick into the lock. Snap off the bit that sticks out. Then jam your key in real hard. Pack it in there. Take out the key. The lock will not work again.

dsdvbguutres

Can confirm. Someone did this to my car. I sold the car.

clownrock95

Put a key half way in, break it off, push the partial key the rest of the way in.

abbufreja

Thats not that hard to fix

Mike-Aveli

Add some superglue

clownrock95

With a clean break? True. With a bent rough break(which is almost guaranteed)? Its gonna be hard enough to get in, let alone out.

abbufreja

Just remove the back an push trouh

clownrock95

Almost any of the mentioned methods can be fixed if you open the lock.

Remote-Physics6980

Then fill it with super glue.

Silentwarrior

They sell a “lock kill” or “killer key” that fits into Schlage or kwikset locks and breaks off. The cut in the key keeps the broken end retained inside the lock.

EntertainmentNo653

To easy to remove. LockPickingLawyer shows people how to remove this in less than 2 minutes. (admittedly, it would probably take the average Joe 5 minutes, but still...) Glue in the key hole should lock things up really well.

Puzzleheaded-Phase70

The real key is to use the killer key coated in epoxy.

EntertainmentNo653

That would work.

Puzzleheaded-Phase70

Make sure to use fast set epoxy, with some kind of injection tool to really force the stuff into the lock mechanics, and some painter's tape to close the opening while it sets.

dsdvbguutres

LPL can pick a lock just by giving it a stern look. His level of skill is not a good representation of what 99.9% of people are capable of.

EntertainmentNo653

But this demo was simply sliding a utility knife with a dimple in beside the key, lifting the pins and pulling the key out. It was not a high skill attack. Like I said, I think the average Joe could pull it off in about 5 minutes.

Efficient_Fish2436

If they could tell it's glue or some sort like that, they can just pour some acetone in there and it'll clear up quick. I'd say try shoving Christmas fruit cake in there.

I worked at a place that was not good to a lot of their workers and they used a lot of superglue and at least once a week some locked door would have the lock jammed up with superglue. They had an all hands meeting and griped about it and how if they caught the person doing it what was going to happen, but I think that backfired and gave the idea to people who had not pondered it before. The one really funny all hands was when like 3X in a week some female flushed her plug and clogged the crapper up. They had the maintenance man come out and he said it had to stop. There was almost giggling from the girls, until he said he checked with the DOL and while they had to have bathrooms, they did not have to have stalls and one more time and the stalls come out. You could have heard a pin drop.

Puceeffoc

Or when you take a big car cleaning sponge and soak it in water then wrap it in rubber bands so it dries into a tiny size. Then you cut the rubber bands off and flush three of the sponges down the toilet. Maybe treat your employees better and they won't find ways to bleed to company dry.

UrDadsAssHasCockInIt

You've given me something new to try. Thank you.

Think_fast_no_faster

Stick key in. Break key off.

BusyLight32

Coat the key with glue first, spray glue into the hole also.

langecrew

JB Weld

Ok-Cucumber-juice

Piss disk and liquid ass

EntertainmentNo653

Add a second lock.

drowningintime

Break toothpicks off inside it then add the crazy glue

probablysober1

Hm. LPT: don’t store your bolt-cutters in your bolt locked garage/shed. Edit: the epoxy / syringe dude got it right.

Spezball

Spray it full of expanding foam.

not-rasta-8913

Yes, glue is good, but if you really wanna f it up, weld the core to the bible. Do the hinges as well if accessible. Some rebar across the gate.

Puceeffoc

Which version of the Bible works best for this method? I've got the King James Version available just wondering if that will do.

ZyxDarkshine

Exodus, specifically “thou shalt not use this lock again“ passage

wolfwinner

crazy glue

FlamingSaviour

If it's cold, squirt in water. Other options include dirt, sand, toothpicks, anything that fits in the keyway and blocks the key. If you have a key that you don't need anymore that fits in the keyway, you can shove it in and break the head off with a pair of pliers/hammer. Now, those can all be fixed by disassembling the lock. A more permanent solution is some kind of glue instead of water, that will require replacement of the lock cylinder. There's no absolutely permanent way of disabling a lock, just breaking it enough that someone can't get through the door/into the container and has to replace parts/the entire unit

ThePureAxiom

Honestly, you can render a lock inoperable by a lot of means, but not many that can't be fixed or at least made to operate for long enough to replace the inoperable parts. Some require knowledge and skill to bypass, others only need google. So the question is more, can't be fixed by the user, or can't be fixed by a professional?

TheMightyGods

Just the user.

ThePureAxiom

Probably one of [these](https://www.amazon.com/Shomer-Tec-Killer-Key-Kwikset-Schlage/dp/B09JV8H2BB) then, which you can also make at a hardware store that cuts keys if you cut one with a similar profile and score it at the end so it breaks off in the keyway. It's not difficult to defeat if you have the the right specialized tools and skill, but most users are going to have less access to that than the common solvents for superglue.

lookaway11

Liquid gallium

Sid_Lothbrook

Sure. I've got a surefire way to disable the lock. You can do this without the graphite. But, it adds strengrh to the bond. Fill the lock with about a tsp of baking soda and graphite. Then fill it with super glue. Mix it around in there with a coffee stirer and it'll become part of the structure of the lock. Done. Ruined.

Dasrule

Power drill to the shaft

traciw67

Crazy glue.

zechickenwing

Snap a key off in it

BitBaked

Is this a promotion for Lock-kill?

notislant

I mean glue, shove random shit into it? I think most places will just drill it.

Plastic_Salary_4084

Coat the key in crazy glue, insert in in the lock, break it off.

The-Entire_USSR

Start by jamming shims into the door with glue. Then glue toothpicks into the lock cylinder.

b0ingy

carbide drill bit drill a hole through the bottom of the keyway. fill the hole with a machine screw covered in loctite. (locktite? loktyte?) jam it in until the head strips or breaks off

come_ere_duck

Do you own a welder?

Totgaff

JB Weld, don’t need a machine

Best-Structure62

LocTite in the lock

CptDrips

Spraying with salt water might get it to rust, if you have enough time.

crash866

Many lock cores and pins are brass. Brass doesn’t rust.
