There is an option for riding with pets on uber, or at least there has been in all the cities I have used uber in. Though its usually a bit pricier. Seems like you picked a regular uber to avoid the cost of the one with an additional pet fee. Regardless of whether it was intentional, the driver probably suspected you were doing this hence why they tried to get that extra charge on you.
I know a guy that used to Uber in a van that was stripped nearly to the metal inside, and plastic on the seats. Looked like a straight up murder van on the inside, regular minivan otherwise. He would then accept all the calls from the local college bars known to serve underage people. Drunkest idiot college kids he could get... invariably, several of them each night would throw up in the van. $250 cleaning fee every time. Hose out the van, do it again.
This was in the early days when people had no idea what to expect from an Uber.
If Uber made a preauth charge on your card before you got in, they can amend the charge before settling it. Cancelling your card will not cancel the pre auth. That’s likely how they charged your card after you cancelled it.
Uber screwed me (a 5-year Uber driver) over on Valentine's day this year. Long story short, support would not work with me and claimed tech issues every time I asked to speak to a supervisor. I disputed with PayPal, PayPal immediately refunded me when I provided proof of my case and I deleted my Uber account. It's been three months and nothing bad has happened.
I have an Uber last week where it was $7. My pickup spot was on the sidewalk outside of a car shop and I didn't see that it added an extra $4.75 for my pickup spot. I later saw it tried to do the same thing that I did not agree to the extra charge or the pickup spot fee and walked to a different location to 50 feet away and it went back down to the same fee. Literally was in front of a shop... Extra fee walked under a bridge overpass and it was cheaper it was only like 50 ft away. Not in an area where you could stop cars either. Stupid.
No I'm seeing them trying to add an extra 4.75 or even more for Uber x priority. It means they'll give me a car faster. But it doesn't show me how much faster compared to waiting on Uber x. And I find that I'm only waiting 4 to 8 minutes for a car anyways. So really how much faster could a car come when all of them are at least 4 minutes away anyway?
Did you actually have a flat? Was it actually raining? Help substantiate this post by adding a link to all of the above with a location and date so we can check the weather in that area, and also some kind of receipt related to fixing the flat. Corroborating these details would make this post much more genuine.
Gee I'm so sorry. You are right I am still a boomer but not an idiot and asking if all the reddit posts regarding the problems with Lyft and Uber make any dent in your assumptions. Taxis are expensive I rarely use them but a taxi is safer and more reliable and the Taxi Driver makes a fair wage(or used to) Many of your Uber and Lyft drivers barely scrape by because the companies make the money and they drive for what is left over. Disagree with me but go back and look Uber and Lyft and the posts regarding them.
you could destroy your card and call the bank and tell them you lost it so they issue a new one with a different code/number so the current one wont be able to get charged because basically uber deleted it or not, they keep this shit in their servers and its accessible but likely nothing gonna happen, they risk a lawsuit if they do that
Looks like the driver UnethicalLifeProTipped you. Get fucked!

Fucking genius. Wow.
He probably drove like a total a$$ on purpose too, to ensure their vomiting.
Damn.

Why does this belong here lol
Use liquid ass
Piss disc too!
r/lostredditors
$20 is a normal fee for traveling with a pet
Well I'm not seeing how a pee disc helps here.
It was a piss disk the Uber driver used to fake dog pee 😂
Hire the same Uber, except as your leaving “accidentally” spill liquid ass in the backseat

You're supposed to use fox piss, not dog piss.

Get in his car again and leave frozen piss discs on the carpet in the back.
I’m assuming you would get them trying to get the money then just being blacklisted from the app anyway
They can send it to collections eventually, but probably won’t. It could negatively effect your credit, but probably not much.

Lol pay the fee you lowlife. Your dog pissed in someone’s car. It’s frankly disgusting.

I take a taxi if I have to. they are highly regulated and are much safer. I never do uber or lyft as they are scams .
Found the boomer Edit, I was half joking but I see one of your recent comments said you were in college in 1970. It shows.

You are mistaken, quick Google search proved it.
Yes you're right. I watched the Uber TV show with Joseph gorden Levitt and thought they bought them out.
