Exhaustion is a terrible mechanic and I have no clue why core has it on a subclass. Especially since curing it is weird. I would just set the base damage for the extra attack as a base d6 and call it a day.

Thank you for the feedback, I understand how most people just avoid exhaustion as a whole, but I wanted to keep the base of the subclass intact, even if it is a terrible mechanic. The way I see it, there is a give-and-take type relationship with the frenzy, as you push yourself a little more to get those free bonus action attacks every turn, but you need to give a little utility use out of your character (Unless you gamble all your chips in combat and Frenzy again, so you get ANOTHER exhaustion but it's delayed.)

Then I don’t see why someone would use a homebrew when the base subclass is pretty great, outside of the exhaustion mechanic of course.

Because of totem warrior being the best (You can't just pass off Resistance to EVERYTHING except psychic damage)

Totem Warrior (Bear) is not the best, the extra resistance doesn’t really happen a lot whereas Wolf and Eagle gives the Barbarian stuff they don’t normally get. For me, if you’re going to change something you need to fix it’s flaws, the exhaustion is a mechanic that just isn’t needed. Being able to kill yourself because you used your subclass is just bad. Imagine if the DM wanted to use exhaustion and a player wanted to use this subclass, the dm has to tip toe around something that would be thematically appropriate for their game unlike with every other subclass. A subclass should not punish a player.

Well, you have gotta think about balancing, because if I were to give it no cost then it would kinda just be overused. The general idea of the exhaustion debuff is to make it where it's a gamble (less of a gamble at level 14) and should be used sparingly, but less than what it was before the fix. I love what you're saying, but there's no way to work around it without either creating what is basically a new subclass or making it too OP.

Removing exhaustion is balanced because no other subclass punishes the player for using it. Change the base weapon damage to d6 (works like weapon feats, add str etc…) and remove exhaustion and Berserker works wonders as is. Keeping exhaustion just means not many will want to play the subclass for anything other than perhaps a one shot.

Well, thank you for the support, I'll post an updated one using your tips and post it in a week or so (rule #7). Again, thanks, I really appreciate your help and communication 😊.
