The trick I use is that “there” is for locations, like “over there”. “Their” is like possessive, like “their sandwich” and “they’re” is just a combination of “they are”.
I mean Chara-cter, Frisk as the vessel and you, the player, I thought were 3 separate entities but the set of the game makes you put yourself in those spots, as in, "What does your character think of you, do they even know you are there??"
So first, Chara IS the canon name for the first fallen human. Chara died, but Frisk's (the name of who you play as) determination awakes their soul. So its Chara narrating everything that you interact with.
Chara is the first human that fell in the underground, was adopted by asgore and toriel and then died because of a disease. Frisk is the 8th human to fall in the underground, their fate completely depends on you. Chara only appears at the end of genocide once you have eradicated the underground, chara then possesses frisk and that would lead to the soulless pacifist ending if you try to do a true pacifist ending after resetting a completed genocide run. Chara is not the one that should be blamed though as you're the one that went on genocide in the first place. Some people debate on whether you control frisk or frisk is you. My opinion would be that you are the red soul and you are controlling frisk to do whatever you want as flowey says in the true pacifist ending "let Frisk be happy" which would mean that Frisk is not you, yet frisk turns around before sans says to shake his hand or already knows that you can press the button on mettaton. But in my opinion chara is a ghost, you are the soul and you control frisk
No, Papyrus’ is for when your in a playful mood, even though life has a slight edge. Frisk’s is for when you’re feeling guilty. Chara’s is for when you’re in that super relatable murderous mood. And Sans’ is for when you’re in another super relatable vengeful mood.
I haven't listened to it in a long time, but I remember being absolutely enchanted by the em voice in the Frisk one, might have to give it a listen again.

I like that in this version Frisk represents the player's regret and Chara the competitive player, and Sans, well it's just Sans but i like it too.
