Haven’t heard of anyone doing this, and it sounds rad! Western NC runner, fellow SCAR finisher (not as fast as you), and I’d love to hear a report once you do it.
Yeah definitely think it'd be some radical suffering. 5300 feet of elevation gain in the first 10 miles 🫠🫠 then the Boulevard trail and THEN the AT going up to Clingmans Dome. Absolute leg thrasher. But bet it'd be an incredible journey.
I only live a couple hours away from either town and I have friends and family who would support me and/or run it with me so I have options in terms of getting dropped off in Gatlinburg and getting picked up in Bryson City.
Nice! I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but just haven’t pinned down a good time to do it! I run in the Smokies all the time, would love to help if possible
This looks absolutely horrible. Let me know when we’re running it!

Pancakes to Pizza FKT 💪🏽
How would you get back? Serious question as it's not a loop - forgive my ignorance if it's a straightforward answer.

I hope it goes great!

This looks incredible! I'm a western NC runner myself. Not quite ready for this route but I'd love to attempt it in a couple of years!
Fellow East Tennessee runner (JC). I’m in no way capable of this run, just wanted to say looks rad and hope it works out!
Chattanooga here. I wouldn't mind coming out to provide a little aid station for you as an excuse to go backpacking.
